Been listening to rock and roll(and jazz, folk, African, Celtic, etc.) for more than 60 years. It really doesn't get any better than this. The sax puts it over the top! Hard to believe that I've been listening and formerly dancing to them and still rockin' with 'em for more than 55 years. And they've still got a lot of energy.
Very Cool Joe M. ! Just an amazing show to have gotten to see "Live" ! Like you said, that bass solo ! So sweet ! Then Bobby Keys on the sax solo & even a glimmer of a smile from Mr. Wyman... (probably got flashed by some pretty girl) One of my favorite live version's of Miss You for sure... Glad you got to catch The show Mr. Joe & thanks for sharing...
From 2’14” to 3’35”, it’s virtually just Bill and Charlie, and the look on Bill’s face at 2’30”, as if he’s just an observer is priceless. This is The Stones and their accompanying musicians, at their finest.
Bill is and incredible musician. Apart from his RS gigs, I went to see him twice when playing with the Rythm Kings: perfect bass playing. He, Charlie and Bobby were incredible in this version of Miss You.
Can't beat Bill... just rocks up to the gig likes it's an afternoon tea party and hardly once looks at his frets!! Was there and remembered watching him play this..
Half the fun of watching the Stones from that era is all the personalities. Keith in outer space, Ronnie not far behind, Mick being Mick, Bobby Keys going wild, Charlie laying down the framework, and Bill letting his fingers -- and nothing else -- do the talking. Well, fingers and eyes. There's a level of tension created by Bill being so stoic and everybody else being so flamboyant. Some people wish he were more energetic, but I dig the contrast. It takes all kinds. Love his bassline. Love it.
It's been said by the other Stones & possibly Bill himself, that since the early days Bill was always checking out the girls in the first 10 rows!! Entirely believable! 😄😂
Great groove, you don't hear this kind of stuff often if you are listening to regular rock bands. This is more like some jazz or blues band. Charlie is the backbone here and Bill also. Then the sax players adds some really great stuff here. This concert is one of the Stones' best concerts of all time in my opinion. Spontaneous, groovy and very energetic. The Hampton concert is also very good though on the American leg of this same tour. This is a daytime concert and it also add something special here. Nowadays there are no daytime concerts almost ever by big names which really is a shame.
Peter Mills can't be sure but was this the last evening show?, can't recall any since then, because of crowd crush at Wembley my Mrs had us what seemed like a mile back on the hill Slane Castle two days previous, great relaxed groove last show till '89 love '82👍h
They're so amazing and tight! This is really the greatest Rockband in the world! Sure, they're very rich - but what they gave to people all over the world is payless!
Pennie Wendie Selenie, should have added he should have been sacked, saw them in Slane Castle Ireland two days previous and Old Wembley Stadium a month earlier again, fantastic shows, I love the gaudy stage and the even gaudier clothes Magic times😎🔥👍☘️
For personal reasons,& my opinion, this was probably the last best tour of the stone's as I love them, yes they still sound great on occasions, but this still had a fabulous sound, the whole band, tattoo you was a sign of how good they could still be writing song's together,as a hardcore stones fan I think the latter stuff they write just don't do Much for me, love is strong, I go wild was okay, out of tears fabulous,1 or 2 on steel wheels okay too,but I don't think they've done much I connect with since tattoo you, they're better live, you feel them
The real question is who plays guitar better? Mick or Roger Daltrey? Every time I see either pick one up - and granted I know they CAN play a guitar - I'm like, "C'mon fellas"😁
I don't understand the obsession with the sax players. They got so much video time where the bass player, Bill Wyman, who got this song going was shown very briefly.
The director was an amateur, no musical breakdown or understanding of, who was playing what, and what he should be focusing on, shame. And all those ridiculous wipe transitions, hopefully there is a clean version somewhere. Sounded great and the Stones, set the bar for PRO!

Great bass from Bill. I was at the gig and was taken aback by his playing. And Charlie well what can I say.
Absolutely the best rhythm section. Listen to Bill’s bass, in conjunction with Charlie’s snare.
Indeed and Bill looks so composed as if he could do this in his sleep.
I was there too...and yes, I agree.

Bill laying down the super funky bass in front of thousands and the look on his face is like some working stiff just waiting for a bus
😂

Wow, Bills got the boogie down. Go Bobby go! This is a killer version. Sometime I feel abandoned!
Can't beat Bill... just rocks up to the gig likes it's an afternoon tea party and hardly once looks at his frets!! Was there and remembered watching him play this..
Love the way Charlie admires Bobby’s playing!

i never been a stones fan but this concert is hands down the best ive seen. regarding wyman, i feel a huge energy and control in his style
Bills awesome....listen to him walk that thing

The stones are putting on an amazing performance and an absolutely incredible show and it sounds freaking spectacular 🎉🎉

Yes! the Stones in the daylight is great.
Keith & Ronnie probably hadn't slept in days though!! 😂😄

They began concerts with daytime but finished the gig at night. They programmed the beginning of the show taking into account the sunset timing.
Sounds like you have it all figured out.
3:45 Eight years without Bobby Keys. We miss you
Bill Wyman • The greatest bass player nobody *ever* heard...
The ever stoic Billy W!
Wuz there too. Remember it quite well. Me and my mate Colin pushed through to the front. Joe Jackson was the lead-in group.
Joe Jackson was brilliant!
J.Geils band too😊
@@iancallaghan4059 yup.
I'm glad they brought this version of Miss You back. It as taken off for a while.

The ever stoic Bill Wyman
I travelled from Edinburgh for this gig, as good as it was, we were so far from the stage that was a bit disappointing.
Ma maison 🏠 est au sommet 😀😅merci un bon retour au source 🥰🎸ils font partie de mes classiques 👌🏿chics 😗😀🎶🎸

Stoic Bill, looking lecherous... eyeing up the ladies
🌬️❤️bass🎶🎧
Nice eyes 👁️ Bill
Somebody got their hands on a Scanimate and had way way way too much fun with those wipe effects.
Merci à TOI, pour le soutien de la VRAI MUSIQUE, ce n'est pas le cas, à notre époque ! WOODSTOCK ? ou est tu ?
omgggggg 🔥🤯🔥
Way cool y'all make it raw
I think this song is written to Mick Taylor. They really needed him
Miss you
You go Keith I love you you look awesome 👅💯👅
No video on the great Bill Wyman.
I never knew that Mick couldn't play the guitar.
The real question is who plays guitar better? Mick or Roger Daltrey?

I believe Roger was the lead guitar player before Pete joined the band.@@maxthepupp

A little to clean for me there's better live versions.

Focused maybe.
@@sketchesinsand8593 ...always..
Always did...
I went to see him when playing with his group (The Rythm Kings) and had the same looks: concentrated in the playing.
Camera/editing/direction sucks ass,but they was jammin'.
Awful video editing.
