Like these two gentlemen, I also live in Canada. I'm still disappointed that the car is exclusively rear-drive. I totally get why rear-drive is an advantage for this type of car, but for that extra level of usability, I would have wished it was all-wheel-drive. The Lexus LC also has that limitation, which if it had it would have surely sold better in Canada. I had an AMG C43 4-Matic and I drove it all year round and will probably get the new CLE53 partly because of that. The Mercedes' GT is AWD and less money, but not as classy; but can't justify keeping a car this usable, begging to be driven, in a garage 6 months a year. Strange how Larry Stroll, being Canadian, would push Aston to this level of improvement and miss that final bit.
I watched this video very carefully, weighing every word said. There is nothing said here that I have not already heard from one reviewer or the other, including Brian and Sam themselves, about C8 Corvette. Watch this video again and replace every time they say Aston with Corvette and I challenge you to determine if it doesn't also apply to the Corvette, outside of the interior jewellery and price. So my verdict: this is the C8 Corvette for rich people who require svelte shapes, lovely leathers and refined physical controls. If you can only afford a C8 Z06, E-Ray or even a C8 Stingray, you're already at 8/10th of the GT experience this car offers and 12/10ths of the performance, especially with the Z06, at a third to half the price. If you're a true car enthusiast (which is not what an Aston Martin buyer is) instead of paying $360k for one car, use that $360k and buy two or three different ones with 11/10ths in the places you want each to deliver the driving experience you're looking for. I guarantee you, it's money better spent than buying this car, no matter how much Brian and Sam appear to be taken by it. This review, although honestly delivered, is curated for the 20 old rich dudes in the country with 10 other cars in the garage who still think they "got it.", in denial of the fact that, in this day and age of technology, refinement and capabilities, the rest of us got it just as good.
Astons usually are such great looking cars, and this is no exception. The interior is a massive upgrade. Too bad they lost the flip front. The sound of the DB11 was better. I believe the truly upmarket cars will abandon panels for the instrument cluster, just have a look at the Gemera, Bugatti and others, and it will be a sign of true luxury. I agree the Aston crystal ECU key would be welcomed if returned. Your dual tester dynamic works well. That said, I am missing some your spectacular drives and sound captures.
Thanks for having me, loved this car ❤
Any time!
Amazing machine, great vid Brian!
Thanks 👍 glad you enjoyed!
Sam is a legend, good to see here!!!
What colour is the DB12 volante in the video?
Aston models are my personal dream cars. Most likely a db7/db9/DBs, preferably volante. If only I had the money for both buy-in and upkeep.

Nicely said and noticed. Gotta say Astons are beautifully designed
Aston Martin Is astonishing
Great review Brian. Astons are drop dead gorgeous. I hate being poor

Is it worth the extra $$$ over a Lexus LC500? Is there a noticeable difference in the drive?
Not worth lc500 70k better only bentley ,s63,maserati gt options or usa muscle
Nice review, I would buy this car if it wasn’t for those digital screens. Absolute disastrous, bring back analog clusters for goodness sake.
I hope you drive the new Vanquish
Me too! Best name for a car!
Keep it Max.
Polestar started the frame-less side and rear view mirrors. My Volvo 2016 Volvo XC90 has a frame-less rear view mirror. Aston isn't the first.
That looks like an ass ton of fun! 😅
Depending on the size of the ass, it could be multiple tons!
