Yes! I have brain stem damage from a stroke in the medulla. My assumption is that the R.A.S is affected, as I will fall asleep 4 or 5 times during the course of 24 hours. I have developed a unusual but regular sleep wake pattern over the years since stroke, making all my stroke symptoms more tolerable and less painful. This pattern was actually formulated during the Covid 19 lockdowns (when outside stimuli was reduced considerably).
