What you are calling as one cup is one 'uzhakku' not one 'aazhaakku'. One 'aazhaakku' is two 'uzhakku' 1 uzhakku is also called kaal padi. Half uzhakku is one arai kaal padi or called veesampadi. 1 padi is 4 uzhaaku 1 padi is also 2 aazhakku
