Nice review 🙂 I have been looking at this for years. Always looking great in the snow. But i always hesitate, and suddenly the snow melts and I forget about it 😬 I guess it's possible to have fun with it even in the summer.
Thank you! I looked at it for a long time and finally got it and it’s awesome. It says you can use it on sand/dirt/snow. Earlier someone was telling me everything to upgrade on it and make it ready for everything. It’s definitely got a lot of power to it. I have been waiting for snow for awhile now and finally have some in the backyard. I’m going to get some more shots of it. You should totally pick one up! Thanks for watching and commenting!
That’s awesome! Yes I am. Powder is an awesome spot! Awesome spot to ski. I try to go every season. Looking forward to taking this Kyosho Blizzard out today! You still local to the area?
@@hobby-cantina Yes, I find Powder to be bigger and more open compared to the ski areas up in Park City, and there's a wide open flat area on to the side of the mountain and sometimes there's people para-boarding with the wind drafts. Working there for the season was the best way to snowboard for free and get paid, lol. I'm not local anymore, moved back to California for more work. Time to time I have work in Salt Lake depending on the season, but I used to live out in Ogden for 8 years. I mostly fly RC planes and the field I used to fly at out there is somewhere near Magna, and there's a crawler area there too for the crawler people. Sometimes we fly at the salt flats.
That’s awesome you lived in Ogden! Powder is definitely one of my favorite spots to go ski. I like Beaver a lot too! I like the whole snow cat thing they do at Powder. I go out to Magna every now and then and anywhere off that pony express trail. I will have to get a plane. I have been interested in getting one for a while. Have any ideas of a good first one to get? Or helicopter? I haven’t been to the salt flats in awhile. I did do a video or two that are older on my channel and I was out near that golden spike side of the lake. That’s awesome to finally get some local comments. I use to live in southern California and also Atlanta. Super familiar with all of California. Definitely a good spot to make some money.
Thanks! Yeah I wish there was a hobby shop in the valley…. Can’t believe there is not one. You should totally get one! Thanks for watching and commenting. Are there any tracks around here?
@hobby-cantina closest 1/10 scale track is in slc closet 1/8 track is in like Orem. This state is a crawler/bashing state not really racing. At least we have a flying field out by benson so I can fly my planes.
@joshuamurphy150 Yeah it definitely is a crawler/bashing state that’s for sure. I will have to check that out. I have been wanting to get a helicopter or plane for awhile now .
@joshuamurphy150 I like that golden spike area and the West desert alot. I’m sure you can fly anywhere out there too. Well at-least when it’s not windy lol.
@@hobby-cantina Yes they do. There is a brand new kit on ebay but they want $600. Bit more than I want to pay. I don't know when they stopped making them.
@rm25088 That’s really cool! Not the price haha. I have been looking at a bunch of different kits on there for Tamiya and a few others. I’m definitely going to look into those though. Have you done any kits/builds of other vehicles?
@hobby-cantina no but I want to build one. I would like to keep it nitro but some of those Tamiya kits are to cool. I was thinking about doing the cold buster some day with maybe a brushless set up.
@rm25088 Yeah those are a lot of fun too! I almost got the clod buster instead of the lunch box. You should definitely get one of those later on! The brushless will work better on the clod too. I think that lunchbox it would just be too much.
Oh okay that makes sense. I was wondering why they recommended you use NiMH vs Lipo but Lipo is fine. It’s been awhile since I have used anything that wasn’t Lipo. Thanks for that info and thanks for watching too!
@hobby-cantina one easy upgrade to run lipo's is to run a pair of hobbywing 1060 ESC's. But the new hobbywing fusion mini 18 2 in 1's are where it's at for these now ($120 for a pair)
I’m going to check this out right now. We just got a bunch of snow right now too. Of course I will probably have to get the mini ones now lol. Thanks for letting me know about this!
@@hobby-cantina I have not run mine on dirt, I know the trail king was kinda advertised as an all terrain vehicle so I'd assume it wouldn't do too bad. If you weren't already planning on it, I'd grab a cheep set of fast Eddy bearings for it especially if you plan on running it on dirt. I can see where there's no snow to lubricate the plastic bushings, they might wear out pretty fast. Also bearings are obviously just way better than bushings anyways haha.
Thank you ! Right haha? I have tried and it kind of works but it definitely needs a metal plow and maybe a better battery. I wish it was 1/5 scale haha
@@hobby-cantina early in the 80s I believe. You can look it up. I own a og Tamiya bruiser. I used to have a kyosho optima and mid But i sold them because. Parts were at that time discontinued but today you can buy them
That’s awesome I will have to check it out and see if I can find one. I have a Tamiya Lunchbox I need to build. It’s a newer one of course. Looking forward to it. I will have to check out the Bruiser too!

You're in Cache? nice! I used to run the snowcats up in Powder Mountain for the backtrails during season

I use to run the lifts at a couple of places back in the day!

Im up in cache also. Wish there was a good rc shop close or a race track up here. Good review tho. Been looking at these.

"Old School Connector" Man, I've used Deans Plugs since they first came out LOL
Since the 60’s?
That’s awesome lol

If you run a lipo, you need to run a voltage alarm thar plugs into the balance lead because the ESC's dont have a lipo cut off.

FPV that bad boy, spend the next 3 hours plowing the driveway from inside lol
lol I was literally just telling someone I think I might just stand here behind the glass and plow the front haha.
I will try and get some shots
Great video. Too bad its not a 1/5th scale so you can plow your driveways.

Weeee! Looks like a blast! ❄️
It definitely was! The Kyosho Snow Cat is awesome!
I dig it!
Thanks! Kyosho did a good job with this one! Thanks for watching and commenting!
The og one has metal tracks. And probably made way better.
I saw that you can get the metal tracks online. Might have to do that because the snow has been so icy
What year did it come out? That’s really cool that it’s been out for a long time.
