The house was haunted twelve ghosts. Tony Shalhoub was meant to be the thirteenth. Did you watch the movie?
No. They never do lol
Why, when they can just call it trash before watching or watching and not paying attention. I knew a newspaper film critic I happened to see a few films with. Super nice lady. But several times I noticed she’d not been paying much attention. Other times writing a review nowhere close to what I knew she actually thought about the film. I don’t trust many film press outlets. Internet now can be worse. The movie talk is often very low-tech, metaphorically speaking. That, on one hand, creates some that are genuinely fun and honest. Even though most are just some dude talking, but those often come from a place of watching movies like they’re suppose to-for fun and entertainment. On the other hand, the internet lets everyone believe they all have an opinion and for some reason believe that everybody else must hear it. And then unfortunately, some places do stuff like this, get lazy and phone in their opinions. I won’t totally write off WC, they’re not that bad. But the more individual and candid video makers will say whatever’s on their mind, often behind attempts at some deeper statements that make them sound a little more legit. I hate a lotta media that leans near entirely on opinion. I’ll do it myself on occasion, everyone does it every so often. Offering their opinion when not necessary I mean. I hate doing it, but I fall for the bait sometimes when I get irritated by comments or a discussion.
I know it’s an old film but I think or maybe I’m giving to much credit to them they don’t want to spoiled the movie which they sometimes do so yeah I guess I am giving them to much credit
@@VictorRobotov00 I have found that Ghost Pirate Entertainment is a really great channel to watch for horror movie reviews. He doesn't spoil movies and he gives his honest opinion, both good and bad.
I really liked Thirteen Ghosts and thought all of them were awesome and scary !
Thanks for mentioning Jason and The Argonauts-absolutely amazing effects. Ray Harryhausen is a legnd
Absolutely The OG of special make up effects
@@Chuck_EL He certainly was
Finally someone who is even mentioning 13 ghosts...
I had to watch that movie when i was just 11 and for the longest time i was really kinda traumatized by some of those ghosts..actually, i just saw some bts some 3 years ago and found that that "trauma" of mine was gone.
But i feel that this movie really is one that is mostly not even considered in these kind of videos. So kudos to you
I mean even if the whole story is kinda lacking in itself, these ghosts are really freaky...
They mention it all the time, just like most list channels
You mentioned the gremlin in Twilight Zone: The Movie but the monster that Dan Ackroyd transforms into at the beginning, scared the heck out of me and still does, every single time I watch it.
I think The Pale Man's manner of seeing is a play on "peekaboo, I see you".
Used to live close to the asylum where The Jackal from 13 Ghosts was supposed to be locked up.
It’s a house not too far from where I live and is covered with floor to ceiling windows so I naturally now call it “The 13 Ghost House”😅
Don't want any part of the jackal nor the juggernaut.
The jackal is terrifying...but nowadays i really think that the juggernaut is the one that gives me the most chills.
@@franziskaschutz8291 I found the scariest scene to be The Princess in the bathtub
@@Sunprism the one that's all sliced up? Extremely eerie.
Aliens figured out space travel, but haven't yet invented clothes.
The Entity always freaked me out the most. It was based off a true story.
Maniac: “Do you read Sutter Cane?”
Me: “But of course.”
Mrs. Pickman wasn’t anything we haven’t seen before. It was just an extension of the creatures from The Thing.
When I saw Angel of Death in Hell Boy I thought oh it the Pale Man evolution from Pan’s Labyrinth
So we are jsut gonna throw in any movie in here even if it's not a horror movie? If so don't name the video "horror movie monsters"
You missed Loki from The Ritual, such a great monster
I thought it's name is Moder or Jötunn
Underwater Should Be On The List
I love that this video ended with Meg. Legend is my absolute favorite movie.
I am disappointed that Cthulhu from Underwater wasn't on this list though.
Xtro critter gets posted as a cryptid all the time
So that's where the BEAR-MAN-PIG came from!!
you mean manbearpig
The void kicks ass
Gonna probably be watching “King: Skull Island” here soon in the near future. So I very much appreciate the heads-up on that giant ass spider. *shivers*
While I agree The Jackal is probably the most violent and memorable ghost from Thirteen Ghosts, I feel like the only “forgettable” ones are The Torn Prince and The Angry Princess because they seem pretty generic teens. The rest have their own levels of scary, disturbing, and, for a couple of them, sad.
The creature from MEN was by far one of the creepiest movie monsters ever
Kevin Peter Hall also played Harry from Harry and the Henderson's too
There is no end to my love for In The Mouth of Madness!!! The end is SO GOOD!!
Back to a lazy mashup every few days. I guess at least it saves me some time.
So this is where that creature came from
Am I the only one that remembers that the stay puff marshmallow man just popped into Ray's head. He didn't intentionally think of him he was compelled by Gozer?
For some reason my parents let me watch The Fly when I was only 4 while we vacationing at a beach house. They had a hard time keeping me away from the water without an adult so when they'd see me get too close one would shout "the fly is gonna come puke on your hand" and I would run screaming back. Then when I saw IT (the Tim Curry version) a year later I fell in love with all things horror. Still scared of water though.
Pinhead in the first two hellrasier films.
Pinhead was scary...now after 10 films!!! He just bores them to death..
Here for the 2018 Susperia appreciation 🙏
#1 should have been ask of the caged monsters from Cabin in the Woods. They really stole the show. I would also add the monster from The Ritual to the list overall.
Thirteen Ghosts who in their right mind thinks the Jackal is scarier than the Juggernaut ( or the Hammer for that matter).
The Hammer and juggernaut will one hit you. The jackal will rip you apart
Everyone.
For me the Juggernaut is just plain serial killer vibe, the Hammer is furious over the death of his family and the horrible way he was treated and killed. The Jackal is straight up insane. He chewed through his straight jacket and clawed the walls of his cell until his fingers bled and bones were exposed (why they were sharp in the movie) before having to have the cage on his head to keep him from doing it again. I'd rather be hunted down by the other two than chased and slashed to death by that fucker.
I didn’t even remember the ghost with the cage on his head. All I remember is the plain glass with the writing on them and the intricate ways to move them around. And that the writing was what made them something of a barrier.
The multiple changes in audio and narrators is jarring. Either re-dub mashups or just...don't make it.
@10:00 so...the aliens are scary because they treat humans the same way we treat all manner of animals?
I mean... maybe they just needed to test some alien cosmetics or something important like that?
I assume you're American. This through this assumption I can tell you are uneducated on animal treatment laws in this country. Also can conclude you're a vegan which makes you're hypocritical opinion invalid. I would rather eat a cow or anything that I hunt before eating anything soy or plant-based. Reason being the ethical killing of the animals that I eat. Is less than a quarter man the unethical slaughter that happens when farmers cultivate their land for your supposed clean food.
i only started watching but the crooked man better be in here
🥉
I love the thirteen ghost its my favorite movie besides saw movies
Top shelf
The original Nightmare at 20,000 feet starred a young William Shatner!
My God there's some Thing on the wing!
I would disagree. I think it’s awesome that he turned into a monster.
13th ghost is my favorite scary film
Fun Fact: Before Jurassic Park, ILM owned ONE computer
So did Baldur Gate 3 get the looked of Auntie Ethel from Meg Mucklebones?
What?! The creature and the reveal in Insidious was hilariously bad! When did people twist their heads around to calling it anything else?
Stantz was right. There's no possible way the Marshmallow Man could've destroyed the world. A few cars maybe, but not the whole world.
At Manson Burbach Spence, Barcelona, Burbach, Barcelona made no sense, because hardly anybody there spoke Spanish
The John Whitney monster from the movie the relic
Kothoga was far scarier in the novel but the visuals in the movie looked good
Jaws better be on here....
I was suggestion for a video if you haven’t done this already songs by the same singer and horror movies
They did a good job with silent Hill pipe down
Barbara Hershey truly aged like a fine wine. That woman is scalding hot in insidious and like 60. She was always beautiful but i honestly think she looked better the older she got.
I should stop watching these when I’m eating
I always found the monster from insidious scary, then I was talking to someone who I used to work with and he said it is laughable and looks like something out of power rangers and from then on I’ve seen it the same way.
The fourth kind should be on this list. U never see any of the creatures
Cool
I like that movie
I know y’all didn’t leave Tar Man off this jawn
there was an American police woman that got cold case arrested for the murder of her ex lovers gf. i cant b arsed to look up the name but she had the exact same eyes as the thumbnail cageheaded ghost its spooky.
I thought the sarah creature was cute
T....TEENY WEENY "CUTE" VERSIONS?! Didn't you pay attention to what those little spawns of marshmallow hell were getting up to?! Go and rewatch Ghostbusters Afterlife and Frozen Empire.
Did you guys already do this exact video before
Guillermo = Ghee-yehr-mo. Why is this so hard for everyone on this channel to pronounce in their videos?
Ew
The Death Angels from that boring film A Quiet Place are basically mini Cloverfields
Hard disagree on SMILE. The monster reveal was the worst part. He looked like a joke. It would have been better with no physical monster.
8th
🍪7th. The robo-ho don't count.
And on today's episode of Woke Culture Horror.....
?
Def have gone more woke, luckily we don’t see their prided closets.
Birdbox was awful
