Just got mine today and I have a question for all the other users: is the headphones volume knob continuously spinning for you as well, or is mine broken? Mine doesn’t have a limit, like the gain one has for example. Thanks!
i think your dead wrong on the acoustic guitar sound, for what it is it sounds fine, i think after a while some of you guys get spoiled and you tend to be premadonnas, like if its not what you use its trash im 62 years old and my ears have been in training for 50 years because of my music background and for what it is and its price range its just fine, could it be better? of course, but not everyone can spend $500 for a pc mic.
I have the Lyra and the only problem I have is the table stand that came with it. The mic will pick up everything I do on my desktop. Any recommendations for a boom?
Hello good eveniing frome Belgium. The mic is fantastic. Better than Apogee hypemic? I think so fo music recordings. Is it possible to use it with an Ipad? I learned that extra power is required... What exactly do I have to buy to use with the Ipad (the power supply I mean) I'm a bit confused.
Do you think this AKG would better than the shure mv51…or the hypemic apogee … I have a lot of XLR microphones and stuff, but I just want something to record with the my Ipad and I Phone without interfaces …(the best solution for music acoustic recordings) I know this is a difficult question but what is your advice?
@ Thanks for answer so fast, sorry my English is not very good,is it a design problem? Cus I watch 2-3 youtube videos of this mic test ,all same problem:left and right wrong side…thanks
I don’t have much use for a USB mic since I’m all set up with XLR. On top of that I HATE the Dick Tracy look! I expect you to be wearing a fedora when using this mic. As for the quality…meh. Sounds OK. Stands up to the SM58. So what! The SM58 is what…half the price and much more versatile.
For the price, hard to go wrong. Great vid, thanks for your efforts!
That sounded really good and natural. Couldn't tell it wasn't an xlr mic.
Almost every USB mic needs an app...this thing was perfect out of the box...
Gonna be hard to beat this one going forward...
Sounds great on your voice. That and the NT USB Mini are good recommendations, even though I prefer XLR as well.
Thanks for this review- it was very helpful! I plan to try using this mic to broadcast me playing the singing bowls. We will see how that goes!
I love the guitar my friend. That was the best part of the video.
ordered this today! should be my goto recording+YT videos mic
The guitar totally opens up in the tight stereo. Wide stereo is a little too thin for me.
excuse me, do u think this could be doable for recording vocals, i mean for recording songs? would appreciate ur opinion ✌
Good analysis and presentation made, very useful!!

Have you tried padding the bottom with foam or rubber?
Have you found a solution for that?
@@wrymecheers I bought an Elgato boom for the mic. It helps but a shock mount would help even more.
Congratulations a very nice and professional review.
I am impressed of this review
What could be the best choice for a rookie podcaster between this mike and the XM8500 plus the sound card Vocaster two? Thank you.
This is an amazing mic! It competes with my Rode NT1000 XLR condenser. The clarity is amazing!
Is this better sounding than the AT 2020 USB XP?
Awesome review Video 🥳❤
Cheers!!
Rode nt mini usb vs akg lyra which one buy for nosie room

I don't know either of those mics...so I can't really give an educated opinion...sorry
@@DarkCornerStudios no problem. Have a nice day
Do you still recommend this mic?
It sounds good even if it’s two feet away ‼️
You are doing great job Man ❤⚡✨
Thanks!!
About to watch, but better than the MV7? I'm XLR ish, but guests ...etc. on my show...
Yeah...I preferred the sound of this over every USB mic I have tested...
The extra stereo modes are a massive bonus for doing instrumentation
@@DarkCornerStudios Thanks! Really enjoying your stuff!
I may get one from Thomann. The microphone is 59 EUR currently.
just baught it from there aswell, cant wait for it to arrive
Can I use Audio Technica m50x with Akg Lyra?
Yes!
"I think this is the best sounding USB mic I've ever had in front of me, and that includes the Shure MV7."
Well that's a buy for me at least.
when stereo mode ,the pan direction is wrong? left and right invert problem?
@@lijian1982 dumb host problem...lolz
@ Thanks for answer so fast, sorry my English is not very good,is it a design problem? Cus I watch 2-3 youtube videos of this mic test ,all same problem:left and right wrong side…thanks
@lijian1982 no it was my fault...not an issue with the mic
@ Oh,thanks, but i wonder how can you make it wrong pan ?it is usb mic ,is there a app can set the pan shift change L to R ?
Thank you. What about the quality of atr2500x-usb ?
Haven't used it yet...I will try to check that out!
Quite impressed with that.
Right?!?!
A couple of things I don't like about this microphone:
- The mute button action-click (or clunk) is atrocious.
- The gain knob on the back.
Yeah...personally the mute did t bug me...but the gain on the back was a bit of a pain
Ordered !!!!!
Blue yeti x vs akg lyra which one is best for asmr?
i am a TH-camr just making basic travel videos ,not vlogs , How you suggest it to me ?
Just ordered one on Amazon for $69
A recently got one for my class. the buttons don't wabble any more and the mute button got a red LED on it. maybe make an update.
left and right are swapped!

If you don't use a two dollar coin it might mean that the microphone is out of toon!
In my case, at least, its never hot sauce in the eye.
It was an unfortunate day for her...
