I love the fact that the strapping is much less plastic waste too. I’ve seen it way too many times when campers get their firewood bundles in shrink wrap, and it’s blowing all over the place. It’s super annoying. Thanks for finding a better solution!
Agree and the strapping that I bought is 70% recycled. And the plastic buckles are recycled. I have definitely seen that shrink wrap all scattered through the woods after campers just leave it.
I haven't seen the buckle type strapping before. Seems faster than the metal crimping style. I deal a lot with auctions and ship a lot of stuff so I have both a tying machine(any type of string material) and a plastic heat strapping machine. I got them bot for less than $50 each and they work amazing. You press a button and in less than a second it straps, Tightens(adjustable setting), heat seals, and cuts the strap from a roll under the machine.

ordered the strapping using your Amazon link. That tape is nothing like the tape in your video. It is extremely hard and brittle and does not work at all with taping machine
I think you're trying to over tighten it too much. I use the exact same strapping. If you try to over tighten it it will snap. The point is to snug it and stop. That said I have snapped it many times probably one out of every 20 bundles I still do. You need to understand you're trying to snug it not snap it
@@thefrugalhomestead7873 I could not get it to tighten at all. The strapping I received was nothing like what's seen in your video. It is extremely stiff and does not fold over mking it near impossible to loop onto the buckle. So I'm not sure if the supplier has changed what they are shipping. BTW you mentioned that the strapping was rated for 300 lbs the link goes to strapping rated 440 lbs.

i have a second roll thats black 440 lb that works fine but that supplier may be subbing different products so ill go change link.
