In my experience, the splash effect is standard for Hoya carnosa. My mother got a cutting from my grandmother (her mother-in-law) and it always had splashy leaves even though it was never close to a window. She gave me a cutting when I was about 8 years old and I still have that plant! Hers took many years before it bloomed, but mine bloomed readily from quite a small stage--it got more light and so I think that was the difference. (Hers did eventually start blooming and it still does.) I'm confident your plant will bloom for you. The fragrance is sweet & very strong. I like it, although I know some Hoya people who find it overpowering. Enjoyed your video, as always!

I thought the Hoya Rebecca had pinkish blooms?
I got one last summer, a tiny, tiny cutting, so it needs to grow first. It has already done a good deal of growing and I hope it flowers soon. Maybe even this year? I will see.
Regular Hoya Carnosas come with splash. Mine is 11 years old (started out as a 1 leaf cutting) and its leaves vary greatly, from small to normal sized to huge to wonky. Same with the speckles. I have very splashy leaves and some that only have a few speckles and some leaves have lots of splashes on the back of the leaf. What's up with that 🤔

I really struggle with Hoyas. They do fine when I don’t water them when I water them they start to decline.😫

Are they in a bright spot? That could be a issue as well.

What is the best way to propagate, water or soil?

100% perlite! You should check out my perlite prop box videos. My hoyas root so much better in perlite.

They are all in varying windows...either south (rebecca) east (pottsii and carnosa) and west (wayetii and australis)
