like all other months on ncs 2017, this is great Fearless: 83/100 Lost Sky's debut on ncs is honestly pretty good, and although it's not that special, it's definitely better than the pt. II because this isn't so overrated. i like the fast tempo on this song and the drum pattern is very interesting. Runaway: 90/100 judging off the comments on this video, i did not know that this is hated. for me, this song is great and although i don't find anything outstanding in this one, it's pretty memorable, especially the vocals. Bliss: 98/100 this is one of the best of the underrated dnb tracks on ncs. i love the percussion used in here, and the faster-than-usual tempo (which is 176 bpm if i'm not mistaken) works well here. the leads are incredibly catchy as well. also random thing, whenever i see the word "bliss", i immediately think of Infected Mushroom. What I Never Had: 64/100 i usually do not listen to deleted ncs tracks that much, although this sounds good. i'm not even going further with this song The Return: 82/100 this is pretty much on the same level as The Ghost. both songs are pretty good, however i don't really think i would like to listen to them at a regular basis. Heavens Gate: 97/100 honestly this is a banger of a melodic dubstep song. the vibe that is given off is pretty cool, but one notable thing in this song are the brostep-ish growls throughout the drops. these growls are incorporated so well within the melodic drops, and they don't ruin the song in any way. overall this is just a solid song. Your Stories: 96/100 this is a pretty good electro house tune and one of the most underrated tracks on ncs, mainly because i usually do not see them in most ranking videos i watch. this is great overall, and the weird and wonky sound design are well produced and fits well with what the song is going for. Say The Word: 94/100 the drops backed up with amazing vocals are really great. talking about the vocals, i find them pretty similar to some songs that i have heard before. the vocal performance is great, and don't get me started on that meaning behind the lyrics. this is overall a pretty enjoyable tune that i would really like to listen to since it has that replay value that other similar songs have. House: 98/100 this is quite enjoyable. it is also one of my most played songs of 2017 (mainly because it's featured in a video game that i usually play). besides that, i really like bass house songs that lean towards complextro (similar to Bossfight and Ephixa's song Subside). the fusion of bass house and complextro have that really unique cohesion that other genres don't usually have. the drops of this song really hit really hard for reasons i've previously mentioned. Into The Wild: 98/100 i like the bounciness that this song has. Kovan's sound design is pretty enjoyable, and it's pretty unique compared to the future bounce/future house songs that we usually get as of today. the vocals set off that vibe that fits well with Kovan and Alex Skrindo's sound design, and it does that pretty well. Roots: 93/100 pretty unique sounding tune from Unknown Brain. the drumstep approach is nice and the vocals are great. the ambient sounds outside of the drops are something to point out. Campfire: 100/100 this is easily the best of the month and the best of the NCS: Colors album. RetroVision's old sound design is really great, and there are so many things that i really like about this. the leads are quite memorable, the drops have that bounciness that i really like, and it's so nostalgic in one way or another. everything is really cohesive and they really work well together. overall this song has a lot of great things going on which makes it one of my favorite songs on ncs.
