I found mine in both euclid and eissentam, with eissentam having a slight bump in chancing them. The one I settled for in Euclid do not have environmental hazards, the ones in eissentam unfortunately ain’t that lucky. They do make great place to perch on. But make no mistake they are not exactly perfect. Graphically, some assets on them are clip through assets. They can found on supposed paradises but these paradises could also occasionally have dangerous weather conditions. They are also rather highly elevated from planet actual sea level(if they even have sea) making them potential falling hazards.
I used essentially the same methods for finding lush planets with top tier caves for several years. I've got about five hours in on searching for floating island planets in Odyalutai (256) with no luck yet.
@@ScottishRod So I've found four floating island planets now. The second one is also covered in large caves. I think I have to make a short video of flying down from a floating island base into a cave system with some music. But that will take some time to scout out a good run for video. Right now I'm too busy with outside work (RL), so it will likely be fall or early winter.
I found a planet with a refreshing breeze. No floating islands though. But i did find an island at the end of a chain. Big, round, and completely flat. I thought it was some sorta plant at first.
Great video, thanks for sharing, I'll look for one on Eissentam. Just to check if I got it right: I) planet must be G on Euclid or F in Eissentam, and II) temperature should be between 4 and 6, that's it, right?
Hi Rod REWMANAWA is the NEXT lush galaxy! System #39 so it takes a LOT of jumps I have over 20 Void eggs from so many jumps in one day! I have 3 bases there so far and it is VERY LUSH and green. Been wondering if anywhere had waterfalls? This is a feature HG need to correct and put more in the game! Great vid cheers.
Hail fellow Rew dweller! Figured there had to be SOME folk out there, lol. I spend my days roaming the edge of the Deep Black, found some good systems, but still no floaters yet.
@@eloquentsarcasm Greetings Brother traveler I'll look you up some time we can hunt for waterfalls. Ive been playing YEARS on every type of planet but never even HEARD of them let alone seen one. Online my screen name is 'Optimus Frime'
oh my gosh oh my gosh if they did not change it MY KRYSTALLION is viridescent, tropical too with bubbles sometime a super heated storm comes by and rainbows at night hope those still show up, and awesomes Scottish of the Rods a spyro planet floating islands also like in Dragon Hunters very sweet hoping my world never changed er worlds i mean.
I've been a to a ton of yellow star systems of the right heat level and no luck yet. I'm wondering if Survival difficulty has any effect on what planets are generated.
if you are planning to make a base on them, its a long way down and if you are using a short range teleporter, forget it, you might as well put a base on the ground, so to reach it by foot, Living Buildings and Waterfall Planets are just useless noveltys.
Variety is the spice of life and i disagree that they are useless noveltys, I love them and have not problem in creating a teleport bridge to get to the surface if i want to or simpler just fly down in your ship or Mech. and btw Rod excellent video my man.
Man I can’t wait for Xbox to get its shit together… I’m absolutely hanging to jump in and see how my bases are affected.. I thinking about going through all my bases and deleting are few crap ones and ones that have no purpose
Thanks, this video helped a lot! I can’t wait to find the perfect waterfall planet!

Thanks Rod. Hope you're doing well mate.
Those are beautiful finds, SR!
most of the floating island i've encountered are ghosts (no collision box)... sad
The landable ones all look the same/ have the same models
The waterfall islands you can land on. Think they are the only ones one can land on
maibie its possible by reaching the island you want by jetpack, then, build a base on it with a landing pad !
Every island you can land on has a water fall and trees if it has neither you can't land on it

It took me 3 days to find 2. 😊

My base on an earth like planet that I called deforested earth due to the lack of trees ended up becoming forested because of the update
Thanks Rod, they look really good, another excellent video too.
All of the planets of mine have been improved by the refresh
Beautiful finds friend. Yes 💯💯💯
I’ve been searching for hours man I can’t find anything like that!!!
My first landing in Essenteim ydday at 60hours was on the very planet type a warm welcome to a new galaxy
Another excellent video, thanks :)
Thank you for this.
Yea, I've noticed you can't use the terrain manipulator and half of them arnt really there. Still beautiful and I'll make one work.
Hey for the planet heat more rings and planets the more chance for a higher heat system to have lush and Paradise because it's further from the sun.

Scottish Rod puts my mind at ease
I found a great waterfall planet in Euclid..
Thanks so much
The first floating island planet with the portal address I saw a big bug is that part of the Fana on the planet because I want to tame it

Yes that’s right but in Eissentam every system is worth checking if you’ve got time 😊
Oh, I found one in creative within two jumps.

visited over 50 planets in that system NOTHING so i dont think it has them

It might, I know survival and Permadeath effects the weather so it might be in the same category.
The closest I get to a G planet is F. I'm in Euclid.
I found a perfect planet without floating falls
Found a few on random planets, non of the paradise planets had em
What is the background music called , feel like I’ve heard it before
It’s a stock TH-cam track it should be in the description on most platforms. 😊
The thing that bothers me about nms is how on water worlds the water still exists even when you mine nowhere near water as its just is lazily placed
im looing for a deep ocean world are they also mostly round yellow stars?
Any system with water but deep oceans are a little rare. 😊
I thought they must be rare, only found 2 myself after visiting at least 30+ lush planets

I found a waterfall planet but the bad thing is, it never gets dark LOL It's perpetually light out.
Is that just the place you landed? I spend a long time looking for that part of the planet for my test bases. 😊
Infinite solar energy for your base
I been searching for 2 days and I have not found any floating planets on all my bases I used to have blue great water now there is not one good left
A lot of my planets are crap now, one or two are better
I've found one in my main save and it was once a Hobbit type planet. With the little wood single room huts.... I don't remember what they were called.
Those are usually marsh type wolds 😊
@@ScottishRod yes yes! I totally forgot the name... Thank you!
I stumbled across some 'floaty islands' but on an AWFUL stormy planet
BUT A) They didnt have waterfalls
B) They would NOT let me land on one!.
Some of the islands seem to have load issues, I thought the latest update fixed that but it’s NMS sooo… 😊

Noice
Man. I’ve been to 72 planets in the past two days that fit the criteria and not a single floating island. Very frustrating
I somehow found one in like 10-15 𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚞𝚝𝚎𝚜
