after watching this it's easy to see why Billy had a thing for Karen... Billy had mommy issues obviously and Karen was the best mom on the show. She's kind,caring, and supportive...Billy tried to seduce her but she stayed loyal even though she was attracted to him... She never really " hits" on Billy... although its obvious she thinks he is attractive.... it really speaks volumes of her character.

I would agree except for the part where she said yes to meeting him at a hotel and only changed her mind when she seen her daughter and hard working husband napping.

It’s mostly subtle at times, but they way they show the disconnect between Karen and Ted is so interesting. Nothing he says is supportive or helpful at all 😂 she is trying to carry this family
tbh its his fault, but the mans working a lot and wants to come home and not think about the drama, just wants to get a good meal and sleep.

After watching this I realize how much Mike cared about will in season one
and in s2 too, after that he became well he fell in love and hormones kicked in :D
She such a underrated mother she checked in with everyone parents who child goes missing like Barb parents and Joyce to make sure there okay and she just wants to get closer together all her children and wants them to talk to them I did feel like she was a little weird hitting on a high schooler but then she realized it wrong because she has a husband so underrated

Karen Wheeler is a decent mother. She seems very kind and supportive of her kids and is only tough on them when the situation calls for it like when Nancy slept with a certain someone in season 1 and lied about it (I know Nancy was worried about Barbara at that point but still)
Glad Karen stopped herself before she officially cheated on her husband because she recognized that she would be hurting her kids if she went through with it. Her not knowing what Mike has been up to until season 4 is just a sign of how good of an actor Mike is. Since the season 4 finale, nobody can deny it anymore or at least they can't deny it the same way Scully does in the X-Files

People say that shes a bad mom but she really isn't, although joyce is better than her she still tries. People decide to base her entire character off of her relationship with Ted because of how she tried to cheat on him with Billy. BUT I just rewatched season one and she was so supportive to Nancy and mike with everything.
I kinda feel bad for Karen because of her homelife and for being tempted by Billy.
maybe he was a charmer back then but now yeah i feel kinda bad for her... who knows maybe in bed hes a beast :D

Something I find amazing about Ted and Karen and lucases mom and dad and Dustin’s mom is that for the past 4 years from 83-86 there kids have been running from the government fighting monsters/running from monsters going into the upside down and they are completely oblivious to it. There out there trying to save the world and the parents don’t even know
true but the kids back in the days did a lot of outdoor activities compared to now so kids not being inside was normal back then.
And we still dk if they know Elle was the reason cuz we still haven't really scene his parents interact with her. Like...after the government came to their house saying she was kept there, how are they not into their behavior?
Best supporting character on the show.

I don't understand why Mrs Wheeler didn't know anything about the supernatural events. At 8:21, Nancy tells her that she believes something happened to Barb. At 10:00 the government took away their stuff and explained to them that Mike was with a girl with special abilities. Nancy and Mike must have explained what that was about, right? She knew it was a serious situation because at 11:10 the next time she saw Mike, he was with the police force and several police cars parked at their middle school. There was even an ambulance so she must have known it was dangerous. Why didn't Nancy or Mike tell her what happened in S1? What about Joyce, she and Karen knew each other in the first season as you can see at 6:02. At 29:22 when everybody thinks the children are murderers, she should have connected the dots that there may be something/someone that's after the kids. Will dying and getting ''revived'', Barb being ''killed'' by the same government that's after her two children and a girl that Mike has been hiding throughout season 1 (Eleven dated Mike so Mrs Wheeler should have met her on several occasions), a giant fire at the mall that's ''killed'' multiple people yet there were no bodies. She knew about all of these things, yet she never realised that these things may have something to do with her kids or that they may be involved in something.

It’s possible Karen has a poster because of her relationship with Billy, considering Billy was Vecna for a period of time. I imagine there are other reasons we haven’t uncovered yet, I’m watching this video in hopes to uncover something.

@@teenat7044 She wasn’t in the house but she was in the vison that Nancy had. This vision is supposed to represent the future in some way. Maybe she’s tied to Vecna somehow, she had a relationship with Billy, whatever it was. Simply a woman’s desire to have something exciting? I’m not sure. It’s possible that Karen has some guilt over Billy considering she had a bit of an emotional affair on her husband with Billy. We know she feels guilty where she’s getting ready but then sees her husband and her daughter laying on the chair sleeping together. He may be clueless but he’s a good father. She believes he doesn’t deserve what she’s doing to him. Maybe Vecna is going to use this against her? We know that he used Billy against max and Barb against Nancy. Maybe Vecna will do the same with Billy to Nancy?
@@elithec00lguy12 I don't think its enough for a side character to get a poster + it show she was at Vecna's house... Especially when she wasn't at his house even in the vision, he just showed Nancy clips of her family getting killed at home (or that's how she described it) I totally can see him using the relationship against her though in the future. Some people tried to say the house represents Hawkins, but if that was the case, Eleven's poster would have the house, since the lab is in Hawkins.

The thing that I will never get over is if she got in Billy’s way he would’ve broken down and also brang her to the mind flayed causing her be part of the flayed causing Mike and the rest of the group to try and save her.

I always disliked the Billy and Karen romance. All it did for me was make me not like Karen. She was a loving caring mother all the way up untill the start of season 3. Then she out of the blue starts to entertain cheating on her husband with Billy (a minor mind you). Then she goes back to Billy to apologize for standing him up and act as if the relationship would have been appropriate if she wasn't married with kids. It just made me not like her. Imagine if Mike's dad had been ogling Heather at the pool and then he was just about to go cheat on his wife with this highschool girl but decided last minute to not go through with it. I just wouldn't be able to look his character the same way again know he would sleep with a minor if he wasn't married.
yeah you right, idk why they even decided to add that, kinda did not add anything to the main story.
Don't forget that the Billy and Karen storyline actually started in season 2, so it didn't technically come out of the blue in season 3. But the billy thing aside (he was actually 18 in season 3, still doesn't make it entirely okay) she was still a loving and supportive mother even in season 3 and 4. That never changed with Karen. She just never experienced real love and her husband is a couch potatoe who has never shown her any form of affection and just sits around all day complaining. I can't blame Karen for being seduced by Billy and luckily she never cheated on her husband. Tbh I liked that they included more of her and she is a good supporting character. I think she learned a valuable lesson and that is to either find happiness within her marriage or just divorce her husband. And clearly she chose the first option.

My Theory about her and Alice Creel. Karen was born and raised in Hawkins and when a girl, Alice, moved into Hawkins she instantly wanted to become friends with her. They became friends and spent good portions of the day together as Alice wanted to get away from Henry and the house. Alice kept on having nightmares about the snow and what Henry was doing. She was telling Karen all about this and when Alice unfortunately died, Karen knew it was Henry. She vowed to get revenge on Henry which is why she never left Hawkins and waited for his return. When she saw the snow, she knew what had happened.
Also some things that may help with connections is the toy rabbit that Nancy had and of course the rabbit that died in the Creel's backyard. Also, Karen seemed to change after the Gates of Hell opened up.
Another thing I find weird is that in S1 Holly knew about the monsters living in the walls and she could see the trees moving in S3. I feel like the writers are planning to do something with her in S5 because it just feels weird to have her sense these things and then not do anything with it. Maybe they are/were waiting for her to become older to fully utilize her character
Another thing about Holly is that in S4 she was using the board thing that lit up to make a bunny and then the boys snatched it from her but that's at least 3 bunny/rabbit references this season. I have to believe that is going to play a bigger role in S5
