For anyone wishing to do this - what Eibach doesn’t tell you is that you’re supposed to buy the separate “hardware kit” that includes the properly sized bracket for the bushing, as well as the brackets that the bar mounts to. Both are essential if you want to get this bar on the non-Si 8th gens
Luckily, I did a little more research, and found out about the larger bar bushing mounts before I bought the bar. You lost me when you started pounding on the OEM rear bracket for the 10mm bar.
How's the car feel after the Eibach rear sway bar? I got the Megan Racing rear sway bar. It's also a 19mm adjustable sway bar for the rear. I have an 08 Civic LX sedan with the 5spd auto.
Eibach sells a kit to accommodate the larger bar’s bushing, I wouldn’t leave that bracket installed, it’s going to fail when you least expect it. The best thing to have done was to put the original bar and hardware, and delay the video until you had all the right parts.
You can reuse them. Yes will they hold up I’m not sure😂 I’m about try it and see what happens though. I imagine I’ll end up breaking a end link at some point
@@yukonstriker1703stock is 17mm on the Si if it’s a R18 civic it’s only 11mm Probably wouldn’t notice much difference on going from 17mm-19mm But 11mm-19mm you will feel
@@yukonstriker1703where do you see that lol? Everywhere I look it says 11, and I actually just installed this very bar the other day and can safely say the difference between the stock bar and this one is way more than 2mm.

The Eibach website says, "Non Si Civic will require rear hardware kit 4031.312HKR"

Me too, I could never do that and feel ok after, lol.
You should have a drive comparison if you could. Id love to do this to my fa5.
I was super excited to see you drive it and get your reaction.

The body roll is significantly less. Attacking corners feels more stable, and I’m able to carry more cornering speed. Feels more stiff.

can you reuse your stock end links if you’re upgrading to a 20mm 9th gen si roll bar?

@@robertgoodman6495 8th gen Si sway bar is 17mm.
9th gen 2014+ is 20mm sway bar
Hey man! I just wanna ask that can i install this bar in Civic fd1? Or can you help me to find sway bars for my civic?
19mm not gonna get rid of understeer. But definitely helps.
Do the higher mm size sway bars still fit coups/sedans no problem?
The stock bar is 11 mm lol, 8 mm difference in diameter will at the bare minimum reduce it noticeably

Hack install….buy the proper brackets. The new bushings will fail much more quickly because of incorrect hardware. Can’t believe you posted this vid
