Years ago, when I had Christmas a gift to make for family, and little money, I sorted all my red and green cotton scraps into squares, put together a family couch quilt for my sister's family. Sewed 4 " squares in strips and sewed together and I tired the quilt in every other square. A quilt, a gift and ready for giving.
I'd like to see a composite review at the end of the video to see them all again briefly. Then if i select 3 i get a book too, right? That's a good deal. Remind us at the end of that. Thanks. The pics of completed quilts is so helpful in selections. Thanks so much.
My grandma had us drink orange juice from the orange that way! Just stab the peppermint stick into the orange and start sipping! Not sure it would be as delish as the chocolate but it was fun! It's not always easy finding the right kind of peppermint sticks, though, so start looking!😄
Deco Frost is my absolute heart quilt! But, it is a definite close second by Farmhouse Christmas. I am realizing that I am NOT a traditional red and green Christmas girl! But, you ladies do it so much better than I do! Thanks for some merry inspiration!
I have sewn 5 Favorite Things Christmas quilts, 1 was even Queen size, 3 were scrappy, since you cut the blocks separately, it's a great stash buster! I'm working on a Project Linus Quilt with scraps & Fat Quarters in pinks & purples with flowers & butterflies. Hannah's Halloween Favorite Things video really got me thinking outside the box! It really does work up fast!
That plaid would be a great guy quilt. Reminds me of Christmas Eve as a child. We always got to open one gift and AMAZINGLY enough...it was always new Christmas pajamas. The blue plaid definitely remind me of those new flannel Christmas pajamas.
Yay! Always love seeing a 3YQ pattern made with the #2 fabric in a color other than a neutral… thank you for another creative & inspiring YT video. (Have already pulled out my holiday stash & scrap fabrics to start playing with!) ❤
The plaid trees are very elegant but I LOVE the Cocoa Cups and treats fabric. It's just so fun and it works for a quilt you can keep up all winter long. Thanks for the great ideas
I love to sew Christmas quilts all year round. Guess I love the fabrics and your Christmas books/patterns are fabulous!! More great Christmas quilts- makes me sew happy 😃
Oh my goodness 🤩 I love your guys beautiful 😍 quilted blankets!!! Where can I find those patterns they’ll be great 👍 gifts for my family and friends and I’ll make myself a quilt and question 🙋♀️ can you guys make it other holidays too?
We sipped the juice from softened oranges through peppermint sticks. Great flavor and ate the rest of the orange after most of juice was consumed. Thanks for the memory! I loved the quilt show for Christmas fabrics.
Is it called plaid forest? That fabric is incredible for men. A lot of masculine quilts tend to be “in your face” masculine but yours is softer, not forced, just an excellent pick for a masculine quilt. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a woman and I love it, too, but I’d make that for any of the men in my family.
Hi Fran and Donna! I have Christmas fabric that I need suggestions for one of them is directional with cardinal! Never mind! Christmas Botanical! Going to make it!
I'm making that very quilt now, making it Christmas!

My aunt used to have us drink orange juice directly from an orange with a peppermint stick. I thought it was almost magic at the time.
