    Thank you for the video! Med student here, and I appreciate the visual aid. Now I more fully understand the role of Sialyl-Lewis X/ selectins and LFA1/ ICAM interactions.

    I am not a medical student or even a doctor, but I'm compelled to watch videos such as this because I'm writing a fanfic on the anime Cells at Work and I'm researching the exact process Diapedesis and how Neutrophils respond to threats. Thanks so much for the vid and the clear explanation!

      @@KC-hd3wi I wrote two. The first is Cells at Work: Ebola which reads like a Warhammer 40k fanfic. This one was written more for fun than being medically accurate. The second one which I've extensively researched is Cells at Work Code Black: Covid-19.

    Nursing student here. Thank you. I thought neutrophils are the first responders to arrive at the site of the injury. please provide an explanation. your video stated that it is macrophages that arrive at the site of the injury but macrophages come in 3 to 7 days' time. please correct me if I'm wrong.

      Activated endothelial cells initially express P-selectin molecules, but within two hours after activation E-selectin expression is favoured.

    What is the full form of LFA1?

    • @animatedbiologywitharpan
      @animatedbiologywitharpan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1) is a heterodimeric integrin consisting of α(L) (gene name, Itgal) and β(2) (gene name, Itgb2) subunits expressed in all leukocytes. LFA-1 is essential for neutrophil recruitment to inflamed tissue. Activation of LFA-1 by chemokines allows neutrophils and other leukocytes to undergo arrest, resulting in firm adhesion on endothelia expressing intercellular adhesion molecules .

    This is Amazing Design of God. I am doing Dentistry and know even the things we know have unknown things in it
    Ex. Rods of Enamel yet not fully known in all its aspects and its structure, theories of sensitivity, embryology and histology of tooth development,and numerous things even not mentioned like a big book only to mention great design of God. I like to do deep study of topics . Knowing and understanding the things God Created. Glory to God. Thanks for This Animated video.
