I really appreciate y’all not just focusing on box office type movies like marvel movies. But giving the “hood classics” another day under the sun to live on hopefully forever.
The acting range of Pac was incredible too. Dude was like the youngest guy on set. No one in the movie was over 36 but no one was under 24 except Marlon and Pac. 💯💯
@@Jiff321 No, it wasn't. Pac was just always upset about something. Listen to Pac's family and they talk about Pac on the Dear Mama documentary. Pac was always energetic and he would get angry at times and lose control. His aunt spoke about that. But people make it seem like he was either bi polar or playing a character but that's who he was.
Y'all kinda missed the point of the graveyard scene. Shepperd left his brother Birdie and his mom poor and in the cold because his friend died. Birdie became a top street dude and was able to provide and feed his mom up until she died. Even now after he abandoned the family, Birdie came to him with love and wanted him to gain money and power with him. Shepperd turning him down as if he was bigger and better than him as a school security guy came off insulting especially after he left the family for years.
Agreed! we talked about it more in the full reaction but that was blowing mine Tupac character was approaching Sheppard with love in my opinion as a brother who took care of business the best way he knew how, he didn’t deserve how Sheppard acted towards him!
@@LisaEverz i liked him. but i was young an didnt fully understand a mans role. As i got older i realized he was a bum ass punk,as you put it. It really got me when the mom turned to him and he just walked away. That a punk ass "B" move if ever.

I’m glad y’all did a reaction to this movie it’s a great classic and always will be R.IP Tupac and Bernie Mac and great reaction. Keep the good work up I’m looking forward to more 👍👍👍
I just looked up if Wood Harris (aka Avon Barksdale) was into basketball cuz I was curious, too lol! He played basketball in high school and in college.
I saw the midnight showing of this movie in 1994. Loving the soundtrack saying "imma get this. All these songs are dope'. then they played "regulate' at the end of the movie. I was done. We got out the movie around 2 am. I drove to Tower Records I KNOW IT WAS CLOSED but I still went anyone. dont ask me why. Of course when i got there, it was closed. So i went back the next day and bought it but what im saying is , the music was so good im hoping theres a 0000000.1 percent chance Tower Records was gonna be open that night. LOL
I’ve been binge watching y’all for the last 2days, unfortunately lost my mom last week and you guys have been really helping me get through this terrible time. Thank you 💯
I’m really sorry to hear about your mom. I can’t imagine how hard that must be, but I’m so glad that our content has been able to offer you some comfort during such a difficult time. Thank you for sharing that with us it means a lot. Keep your head up and we're praying for you!
This movie is one of my favorite movies because we finally got a movie where the protagonist makes it out of the hood & goes off to college. Avon Barksdale real name is Wood Harris. His brother Steve Harris is an actor as well. This was Marlon Wayans’ first movie without his family. Here are some fun facts: Denzel Washington was considered for the role of Shep. Allen Payne who played Gee Money in New Jack City was considered for the role of Kyle. Tonya Pinkins the actress who played Kyle’s mom is only three years older than him in real life. I would love for you guys to watch the following movies: White Men Can’t Jump Blue Chips The Basketball Diaries Sunset Park He Got Game Coach Carter Glory Road
Bernie Mac was actually good in basketball and bunks is when u let someone hit u in the back with the ball that’s why he was turned like that I think they do it a few times
The main character Kyle was on the Knicks previous to doing this film but decided to become an actor because the Knicks had too many point guards at the time.
Certified hood classic right here. I miss the 90s I remember the streets and parks and ball courts used to be 🔥 like that. And the flagrant fouls u witnessed at the end, that’s how street games were played. U would get the shyt beat outta u on the courts it wasn’t no joke u had to be tough.
the One you just said "he doin the professor move" is a well known streetballer name Speedy who was known for his crazy handles he's kinda an influence to Professor as he also played in the And1 mixtape tours
This is one of my favorite sports movies, and in my opinion, THE greatest soundtrack ever. Duane Martin (Kyle) has been in so many things, but he actually was a basketball player that went to Georgetown. At the end of the movie, the Georgetown finals shot, that's him in real life during a game. After he graduated, he went into acting, and been there ever since. Check out White Men Can't Jump, another streetball movie starring Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson. Duane has a small role in that movie too playing ball.

The kids should know about Harlem's Rucker Park legend Pee Wee Kirkland. At the time Pee Wee made more money in the trap than what he would have made in the NBA. Averaged damn near 40 a game at Norfolk State. His story is a cautionary tale...

Yoooo yall need to watch the best Movie trilogy of all time Lord of the Rings! My homie was hater and he finally watched them and is now a changed man 😂
I think Shep loved his brother but hated his lifestyle! He probably warned him to stay away from that life, and Birdie chose not to listen. Birdie lifestyle could've been a major stress on his mother, causing her to die due to the stress levels of the problems he could have been bringing to the house with his homeboys, etc... knowing this, Shep probably resented his brother for the death of their mother. Shep knew his brother Birdie was too far gone. Birdie wanted Shep to be apart of the street life, which Shep wanted no parts of. Birdie criticized Shep for making an honest living being a security.
Not sure exactly who y’all were referring to at the end, but I’m pretty sure Shep was always mad because he stayed stuck mentally instead of moving forward and pursuing his dreams, so i think it made him bitter but having PTSD will do that to you. As for Birdie, he was a street 🥷🏽 so he was always mad about something lol

Let me clear something up for y'all. The relationship between Tupac and his brother. It is based on the fact that Tupac's brother left without telling anyone. And he never came back. Tupac mom's was saying the big brother was a hero but he never came back to save them. So Tupac grow in animosity towards him. All that Tupac showing his big brother love when he came back was it real. Instead he was being sarcastic with the love. Any big brother knew it. It wasn't that the big brother didn't have love for his little brother. But he knew he was trying to play him because he blamed him for everything that went wrong. Not to mention the big brother was still dealing with the demon that his friend died from them playing ball on the roof in a friend fell off. He felt like it was his fault and he was carrying this for years. So that's why he had such a stoic demeanor. Tupac was busy trying to make him feel bad for his decision of picking up and leaving and never coming back home. Not fully understanding the depth of what he was feeling from his friend falling off the roof ah he carried it feeling like it was his fault. So I hope they give you some real insight on what the relationship was about on the movie. I like watching y'all you're cool. But sometimes they slip past y'all and I get it. Always remember you can learn things from the old school movies. A lot of it is about teaching, and not just for entertainment. What should I keep pushing and doing your thing. And I'm waiting for the next video.. 💯 young ones
