Ever thought of doing (if you haven't yet) a tutorial on atmospheric/ "intelligent" drum and bass? The lighter side of DnB, if you will. Photek , Peshay, some Doc Scott etc to name a few from the old(er) school.

Monty, pretty much all the 1985 guys tbh. I'm trying to base my style around those types of guys along with GLXY, Monrroe. All have a deep, gritty but very soulful vibe which really speaks to me!

Not much to say that hasn't already been said, but I got excited when I saw the preview for this I got pretty excited. The result did not disappoint.
However, building off of this style, snare and hi hat production really shines for some of these producers, especially Halogenix. If there was a Stranjah tutorial about making crisp snares, I would like that very much. Maybe a top 10 principles of making quality snares? EQ, Comp, modulation, etc.

I'd love to see a tutorial on a Dj Guv style bass,like from (snake style). If I remember he used fm8 a lot.
Whiney makes some nice not too happy liquid dnb, Bop (and Subwave) is doing his own thing but really like his style too.
I'm new to music production. I'm inspired by the 1985 type artists like Alix Perez, Ivy Lab, Visages, Monty and would like to make dark liquid drum and bass.
How is the correlation on the pads behaving? Do you get any phasing issues and if you do, what is your method of tackling them?
seem to be alright, I think the chorus and reverbs kind of fizzle it out if that makes sense?
Mono compatibility is always a concern with unison but Izotope or even Ableton utility can help mono-ize the low end

Liquid,, its so smooth, but the one i struggle producing the most...! Ok with the minimal, dark stuff,, but you can get away with a lack of melody,,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Serum's matrix isn't semitone-based, as it's for parameters, but for note/pitch/semitone parameters, you can actually type in "12 st" and it corrects the value to 9
I found that adding ableton external flanger makes areally cool sound

I think Halogenix has watched this tutorial and learned how to be more Halogenixy. Sounds like he's used the same vocal sample in his latest tune Cant Let Go?

"Exploring this deeper sound." What? Liquid has been around for 20+ years. You could argue that LTJ pioneered the style back in the 90s. Pretty much all of Hospital Records is liquid and has been since they were founded. Some of my favorites: Dawn Wall, Pola & Bryson, Brooks Brothers, Sub Focus, High Contrast, Logistics, Camo & Krooked, etc. etc.
Please do the lead on no problem by chase and status!!!!

The artist I love is Electrosoul System. It’s beyond deep and liquid, he and his label make some out there excellent stuff.

@@a.s6161 I mean, we don't only use samples, we often use operator, sometimes massive or other synths for reeses or just basses in general, and midbass fx and all that. Depends of the mood and the inspiration.
