I tell my foriegn friends also when they want to come to America, i tell them don't come here unless you have a couple thousand in savings to cover expenses for a few months and a strong family support system back home That can help you in a pinch. Unless you're fleeing active war zone or something dangerous, dont come here unless youre going to school then going back home.

otherwise, many people actually want to believe that their lives are better off in the west. and it is in some ways (in terms of infrastructure, technology, etc), but in many ways it is worse (socially, culturally, mental health, pricing, bigotry, prejudice, deception, etc).

At least, you said 'if you're okay in Nigeria/Africa'. Less than 5% of Nigerians can be classified as 'fine'. They are majorly those who have benefitted from the rot in the country.
Nigeria has nothing. Ordinary infrastructure like electricity supply, is not available. There's nothing you can say that will discourage an average Nigerian. Nigeria is hell on earth. Poverty capital of the world, have you not heard that before? Paying 30000naira(18usd) a month as minimum wage. Recently increased to 70000naira(41usd). Yet more than half of the states government in Nigeria can't afford to pay. Now tell me, is that even a country, to begin with?
What you earn in like 2hrs of work in Canada and other sensible countries is what you earn for the whole month in Nigeria.
Yes, there are systemic discriminations and all that in Canada. But would you rather choose starvation and hopelessness over systemic discriminations. I guess not.

When you go to Canada and they tell you that they don't accept foreign degrees and that you have to go back to school again in order to have a Canadian degree and also have Canadian experience that's when I think something is fishy. How come you are so willing to accept migrants but then when the migrants come, you tell them you don't recognise their degrees ? Either you want the migrant to take student loans and stay in debt or go back home or do jobs that you Canadians don't want to do. Either way, the migrant loses !

Look. this is going to be unpopular but as someone who KNOWS, a LOT of people educated outside of the US are not trained well. Basic things you expect them to know, they don't know and what's worse they have the audacity to have an ego and they STILL HAVE TO BE TRAINED ON THE JOB! I'm speaking especially for ! All educated healthcare and tech fields ion across the world IS NOT EQUAL. In Canada, for example, they are flooded with foreigners who are not well trained and in some cases not well educated and they expect to be treated the same as someone who was educated in Canada or the US. Not gonna happen. Their ego & what they think they should have makes it worse. If they are use to getting by on what they have, they need to stay in their home country.

without a tremendous windfall, most blacks (citizens or not) will probably not make headway in their own lifetime unless they get some type of help from someone with wealth. they will "survive," but that is not the same thing.
