      The only 2 countries in the world for which it would not make sense to suspend birthright citizenship are the USA and Australia. For those 2 countries came to be only because they stole the land. If they hadn't done that, all non natives couldn't be citizens. So it inherently does not make sense only for those 2. Sorry you made your bed... Any other country has indeed the right to do whatever it wants and change its mind as many times as it wants. The reason for that should be obvious.
      That being said, why would you want to be where you are not wanted? And it is not your decision if you are from another country so... The same way you would not like America to tell you what to do, refrain from doing the same!
      PS: I am definitely not pro American but on this one, I really do not see what business it is of anyone else but "Americans" (however it is defined now).

      @AtmaureanNoble7 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      No, the 14th Amendment is for subjects of the federal government. One thing that people are not putting into prospective is the real history and proper context. The United States was established by Moorish patrician by a consolidation of uniting their kingdoms, dominions, and estates. The common appellative for that action is called the United States which has the Great Seal. The Euro-American/Englishmen/British subjects were brought into government under oath and a trust indenture corpus called the United States of America. The Preamble of the Constitution for the United States of America explains this and the dissenting opinion of Justice Curtis from the Dred Scott decision also explains this. Black Americans are the sanctoris of America(the Continental United States). We never truly need the 14th Amendment to be Citizens.

    Decent report Victor. I think you should have researched and elaborated more on the origin of Birthright citizenship in the USA constitution. The 14th Amendment was passed in 1866 for Black Freedmen a year after the 13th Amendment abolished slavery in 1865. It is important to pay homage to the contributions that Black Americans have made to build this country. Without the help of Black Freedmen, the Union would have lost the Civil War. Therefore, immigrants would not benefit from Birthright citizenship today.

      Not truthfully. It was a 39th Congressional legislation for US Statutory Persons/citizens. Moors were Citizens in the several states since the Articles of Confederation(Coepetis Societas) and Articles of Association(Coepetis Comitatus) and are the sanctoris of the United States that alloted the usfruct trust corpus called the United States of America under George Washington.
      Like Noble Drew Ali said, the federal amendments such the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendment was not necessary for our people. We shouldn't be subjects of Rome because federal/foederatus means an ally of Rome.

People are gonna be shocked when they learn that law was never meant to give citizenship to children of non-citizens; when the inevitable lawsuits starts about Trump's Executive Order to end "Birthright Citizenship" & birthright citizenship goes before the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Also, that ruling in Wong Kim Ark Vs USA does not apply to non-citizens rather illegal aliens nor tourists whom have a child on U.S. Soil. Wong Kim Ark's parents had legal permission to be in the USA then Wong Kim Ark was born making him a citizen.

This Birthright was put into the Constitution for former slaves that had been here under the acts of slavery to bind the citizenship to this land. But lately it's been used beyond the capabilities of this country to house and citizen eyes everyone across the world. And Donald Trump was absolutely correct this country is the only country that supplies that right it should be reversed in my opinion on the National Security. B1😎

    The original intent of the executive order granting birthright citizenship has been misinterpreted and misused over time. It was initially designed to ensure citizenship rights for individuals emancipated from slavery, allowing them to vote and actively participate in government. However, it has since been exploited in ways that undermine those original intentions.
    Our forefathers likely did not foresee how corporate interests would leverage this policy to allow large numbers of immigrants to enter the country, ultimately depressing wages and labor opportunities in the workforce. During Martin Luther King Jr.’s era and the civil rights movement, the fight was focused on securing rights and opportunities for African Americans, who had been systematically oppressed since emancipation. At that time, there was not the same level of immigration as we see today, and their struggle was not about advocating for immigrant labor but about achieving equity and justice for Black Americans.

      @@hdlc4635 You’re absolutely right! It was the 14th Amendment, not an executive order. It was passed in the aftermath of events like the Memphis massacres to address the critical need for citizenship and equal protection under the law for formerly enslaved people and their descendants. I appreciate the clarification, as I mistakenly recalled it as an executive order.
      The intent of the 14th Amendment was to ensure that those who had suffered under slavery could gain the rights of full citizenship, including the ability to vote and participate in government. Over time, however, the amendment has been interpreted and applied in ways that some argue stray from its original purpose, particularly with regard to its use in modern immigration policy. Thank you for the thoughtful discussion, it’s important to reflect on these complexities.

    I'm not American, but I do agree with this, I don't agree with people entering a country illegally should be rewarded by giving their children that are born their citizenship, it just further incentivize people coming there illegally. Pregnancy Tourism is also a major issue in most western countries. Live in Canada and I saw a news clip some years ago where a hospital in BC delivered over 1000 babies one year, and almost every single one of them were chinese citizens that are pregnancy tourists (BC has a VERY high chinese population). Getting rid of that in the US will definitely decrease illegal immigrants for sure. If he does succeed in getting rid of it of amending it, I don't think it will be retroactive to say something like people born in the last 40 years will have it revoked or retroactive at all if he gets this done.
