Yep. I'm 14. I've got me a 1978 f250 4 speed, 4x4, and a 2 speed brown box. 12 valve Cummins, 200 hp injectors, tuned pump, and a 67mm turbo. 3.80 posi gears, Dana 60 front and rear, rolling on 16x9 helo rims, and 33" Toyo AT3's. Dual 6" stacks, straight pipe, and a self made header. its not done but that is my plan.
71 F-250, 390V8. 12th grade.
10 th grade with a 71 f250 highboy. 351w motor with 37s

i did this with my piece of junk firebird later in the day i was called down to the office and was suspended from driving to school so i parked next door at a gas station then i was called down again and suspended for a longer time

Love those old F100s! Back in Senior year I had a '73 390 4bbl 4x4 4spd lifted 6" on 33s. dual straight pipes that each exited right behind each door, miss it so much! Now it's 7 years later... got a Civic with a fart can 😕

Kody Johnson Not gonna lie, it did look funky and surely could have fit larger tires like you said, tires were like new when I bought it so I never did change them out. And thanks! Don't ever sell yours lol the 68's had the best body style imo, I'm sure that 390 with cams etc. is killer! mine was bone stock.

Tangling rods,what the hell are you talking about,what rods? Connecting rods,push rods,they don't touch so they can't "tangle". Can they break,sheer,bend or shatter,yes but not tangle. You're just trying to sound cool,right?

Young swede here, does "three on the tree" mean column shifted manual(with clutch) or column shifted semi-automatic(without clutch)?
column stick shift manual with clutch. its the same as driving a stick with a clutch you just shift it on the column

thecraig909 I Highly recommend the magnaflow super 40 series, I straight piped right after the headers on my 4.6L (bored out 4.3L) 305 and every head around turns xD top speed run 92.1mph in third out of 4 gears

Dakota Inman sorry I forgot to mention its a '85 vortec so yes it is a 305 inch gm motor, dont believe me google 1985 chevy astro 4.3L, when you bore out the cylinders/block ect you are also increasing the displacement when you do a few other internal upgrades since the motor has to be dropped to do anything other than basic maintenance.Obviously you understood what brand I was talking about and thanks for correcting that ;)

That silver Toyota Pickup next to you is basically my truck. It's the only vehicle I've ever owned and still the best design of any truck.
i would love to do this with my foxbody but it has a good sounding flowmaster exhaust and i don't want to deal with taking it off and putting it back on but i want to get a 70s or 80s f250 with a 460 which would be brutal with open headers I'm a junior right now so it's a possibility

Open headers or strait pipes on a slow ass v8 truck or car sound like shit , it's even worse on something with a v6. It's just as bad as stupid wanna be ricers that put a fart can on their turd Honda and think they got a race car . In highschool I had a 78 bronco with a built 400 bbf , it was balanced , line bored and decked with a full eagle foeged rotating assembly, it had 10 to 1 compression , a big comp cam edlebeock performer rpm heads with roller rockers , edlebrock air gap aluminum intake , 800 cfm edlebrock vacuum secondary 4 barrel , hooker super comp headers with flow masters all in 3 in , it had a compound 4 spd Manuel transmission. I never had it on the Dyno but it made around 550 hp at the crank, it was plenty loud with full exhaust. I use to have fun blowing the doors off lil rice rockets . It was actually impressive how fast that heavy ass bronco was, I ran at the drags and went 13.5 in the quarter which was faster than stock v8 mustangs and cameros at the time which was 10 + years ago

my uncle did that with his 57 Chevrolet with a corvette V8 engine back in the 1970s or 80s he got suspended for the open headers. after that, he removed the open headers switch from the dash.

sounds very similar to a old Pontiac Bonneville 455 I have with open headers haha.
I ran open headers for a few days when I got my truck. The 390 is a bit to much engine to run open, it’s way to loud.

I'm 17 and my dad and I built a 69 f100 with a 70 cab and 71 flatside bed just like yours, we junked the 302 for a 390bbl from a ford t bird and when I was 15 we pulled it out for the first time in 5 years, he handed me the keys to it when I got my license. I drove it to school the first and second day but on the second day I got a little rambunctious and set off 6 car alarms in the parking lot. Seeing you do this reminds of that last year and I love it. I have some videos from a while back on my channel check it out! Love to see these beasts on the road, nothing like that dead steering feel know what I mean?

God cars with oprn headers sound so good, that is if you don't go deaf from standing near it for too long lol. When i rebuilt my 305 I put one lumpy ass cam in it and holy shit you couldn't talk to anyone near it (not to mention I nearly set the grass on fire since it shot flames quite a bit). But I have some glasspacks on it now so the cops aren't too salty about it, nice truck though, hope you enjoy the hell out of it.

I've got a 69 c20. Never got to drive it too school cause I haven't gotten it running yet. I've got a 350 4 bolt main with an rv cam at the shop rn. Plan on putting it in my truck with a sm465 and a gear vendors overdrive. The engine is getting a victor junior intake with a holley 750 double pumper, 1.94 camelhump heads, hooked competition ceramic coated headers, true dual straight pipe exhaust either side exits or dumped at the axle. And I'm stuck on debating over charry bomb glasspacks or Flowmaster super 10s atm. I'm really leaning on the glasspack side tbh. Safe truckin

My Dad had a old 70 Chevy Truck, 406 Small Block with headers and just enough pipe to come out just behind the doors.......the Ol Truck was rough,but it sounded like a Monster,drove it to School a few times,poor truck looked like a short bed version of Farm Truck.
