Our dog, who sat quietly when he was young...😅 After becoming an old dog, he became a free dog.😍 My puppy is 16 years old and I just wish her good health for the future.🥰🥰
Thank you SO MUCH for this, my pup had a traumatic past and still struggles with eye contact 2+ years later. He knows some commands but I really think I will make more progress with him if he can learn to look me in the eyes.
@@sarahcertified is there an Instagram, discord, or patreon or something that I can use to communicate with you? Right now I am just waiting for the clicker and treat bag to arrive.
I love all of Sarah's videos, but this one is amazing! Eye contact is one of my favorite behaviors to teach and I LOVE the detail she puts into this video. Woot Sarah!
Awesome! Working with deaf dogs teaches you so much! I would recommend a hand signal that means the same thing. I actually have this for Wrigley too for the times I want to mark her behavior in class, but I am talking to the class. I use a thumbs up. Show the thumbs up the moment your dog does the behavior, just like the clicker, then follow with a treat.
Realistically, I only have time for one dedicated mental enrichment activity a day. But I try to incorporate other little things here and there throughout her day that keeps life interesting for her!
Super helpful video!

I hope it's helpful! Take things slow with him, and act calm and relaxed yourself when working with him on it! Keep me posted :)

Thank you Em! :)
Thank you, great tips here! What breed is wrigley?
She is primarily a border collie/great pyrenees mix!
Hi
Super instructions for me however one of my pups, Mabel, is deaf. Any ideas for replacing the clicker?

How much "metal exercise" do you do with Wrigley everyday? I am curious.
