Florida is a state where recorded conversations require consent of both parties. If Napier did not give consent, then the alleged recording is inadmissible.
However, Georgia only requires one party.
@@alvarm23the suit would probably be in Florida
@@alvarm23 The suit was filed in the State of Florida, not Georgia.
@@rykleyruby1682 he filed in Pensacola Florida, however where was Rashada making the recording? While he was in a one party recording state? I’m sure his lawyers are prepared for that.
@@alvarm23Florida suit, Florida rules, Florida laws. They cant go by Georgia or California laws in a Florida court. They would have to file a case in one of those states.
It's his parents not the kid. His parents see dollar signs and using their child to make money. Just like any child star
Not an issue in recruiting at all If any recruits got questions they can just ask Lagway and other players how they've been treated and compensated
This could've been just about any p5 school. And I honestly don't think it's gonna hurt recruiting that bad. The kid and his dad played themselves and they want some getback. Uf will be ok in the long run whether they lose games, fire the coach or whatever, they'll still exist. But this kid has ruined his reputation even if he ball out he'll take a hit in the draft.
This is foreshadow to the dumpster fire of a season that’s ahead for floriduh.
This is going to be a good thing and push NIL to contracts.
No University personnel should even chat with recruits about ANY NIL deal. This is between the recruit and A THIRD PARTY TOTALLY.
This is old news and you're acting like all this just came to light. Whatever affect its going to have on recruiting has already happened. It happened over 16 months ago! That's a full recruiting cycle and half of another. Come on guys, do better. Be better. It's a money grab plain and simple.
That's why everyone should stop bashing the NCAA and let them change their name to the NIL Commission
We badly need some oversight and national rules on NIL. Maybe this lawsuit will further move us in that direction
So when Florida goes 8-4 then what? Basically you want him out because you don’t know how bad the program was he inherited. It’s takes a while to fix
BS lawsuit.
This will go away fast. Burden of proof on them. If they thought they had a case, they would have pursued breach. Quick money grab while the headlines are about them.
But quick question, if players can sue coaches, and collectives….can’t collectives sue players when the break a 4 years NIL deal and transfer??
Yes they can all though I doubt we ever see that. Would be an optics a nightmare for any program.
This lawsuit isn't about breach of contract. It's about fraud.
And, yes, if the terms of an NIL contract bar transfers, then they absolutely could sue.
That would just make the school lose on recruits
@@williamwhitfield6225 and that’s the point it’s like optics blackmail. The quicker you pay, the quicker it goes away.
@@saldiven2009 that’s what I said! It’s about fraud hence the plaintiff has the burden to prove the fraud and in this case, collusion against all 3 defendants…..good luck
UF is a pitiful program. Last in the state to win a natty (despite being oldest program), drops Miami in the 80s to avoid an annual loss, a mere two out-of-state non-conference regular season games since 1991 (both losses), and losing record to FSU since Bowden took over in the 1970s (FSU was a doormat prior to that). Oh, to twist the knife - Spurrier went 5-10-1 against FSU and Miami and needed 8 quarters against FSU to win his natty.
That’s because Bobby and FSU actually cheated and kept hitting Danny Wueferel over and over again . FSU got squashed by urban and Tebow .
Who hurt you? 🤡
The CFP hurt them(nole fans)
@@Benchillin88💯
Hey they pledged that money in the same honest heart as Amber Heard did to those charities
Correction! The Florida collective gave Rashada 150K to pay back the 150K, Rashada got from Ruiz/NIL!
That’s not 500,000 that was promised
@@samright4661 That 500k promise is with Florida not Miami.
@@arronfrazier7873 No Shit Sherlock! Fla didn’t pay what was agreed upon! That’s why I said 500,000
The kids being represented by DeShaun Watson's lawyer give me a break All of them are a joke. Now he's part of Georgia's trash so he can ride the bench and try to retire early as a warmer there
Why is everyone so comfortable with "football coaches lie, they lie all the time" but think that Jaden (or his parents) are not reasonable in making the coach, booster, school, etc., keep their word.
What part of this was a lie? The contract with Florida says they can back out of the offer at any point. Which they did. Do you really belive Florida offered him more money than Miami, with no intention of ever actually paying him just so he would not be able to attend Miami for football? Because thats what he will have to prove in this lawsuit. I have seen no evidence of that.
I feel for the kid, but at the end of the day he made some pretty poor decisions getting to this point.
@@robertstein6209 There is text evidence that Napier contacted Rashad on signing day to confirm that the money would be there after he signed the letter of intent. They executed part of the contract by giving Jaden $150K to get out of the Miami contract. Then after he does, you don’t execute your part of the deal. They never intended to honor the contract. That is the very definition of fraud. He has a good case.
Auburn fans saying UF is cooked 😂😭😂😭
Well they would know…
@@seanbenfield5410 Auburn is in a far worse place than Florida and they don’t even realize it lol. Florida will not even be punished from these accusations.
@@TheGatorGr8Fla 3 straight losing season in a row ! Fla is trash
@@samright4661 3 7 loss seasons in a row won’t mean shit when we winning SEC titles in the next few years
@@TheGatorGr8 Lol you’re delusional AF
Billy’s not going anywhere and this will be our best season under Napier in spite of the schedule
Nil and transfer portal has ruined college sports
Hmmm… you can’t take money earned back after the fact… they play a year they earned that cash…. At least in your 2 yr deal and leave after 1 yr scenario… think that Federal law 🤷🏾♂️
Bro yall overdoing it. How can you openly admit the newness of everything with NIL made waters murky and that this situation “needed to happen” for college football and then down UF at the same time?
These nil deals are out of control and way too high. All it takes is a desperate program dying to turn around their program around to overpay for a QB, then it sets the market for every program and that can hurt everyone . We need rules and a set Max you can payout. There should also be a set minimum because we all know not every position is near as valuable, but there should be a minimum for everyone so it doesn't cause jealousy within programs. There has to be limits set.
Billy Napier is not the problem, its the system as a whole.Start over with standard amounts, kids out of high school get nothing.
You guys are braindead. The lawsuit doesn’t pertain to the $13.85M Florida contract, Rashada is claiming that he lost out on potentially $9.5M from Miami because allegedly Napier, Walker and Hathcock convinced him to flip without any intentions of ever paying. The phone call is “alleged” stop acting like it’s a fact, just because it’s in the lawsuit doesn’t mean it’s a fact.
Everyone keeps saying that this will hurt UF recruiting wise but refuses to do any research. Walker got fired. The Gator Collective and the Gator Guard no longer exist. Florida just signed the best QB and DL in the 2024 and guess what those kids didn’t come here for free.
The only thing I agree on is that yes if Napier shits the bed I’d imagine the Florida admin will try and find a way to fire Napier with cause.
They won’t win 5 games already got my money on it. This is Mariana’s trench low I mean they are digging a hole to China. I had some hope to be wrong in my bet but looks now I’ll be getting paid. I had more fun rooting for FSU last year. Maybe I’ll keep pulling for Ole Miss the little program at least their style of football is exciting to watch as an underdog program.
Well if your prediction is right. More than likely UF next stop is Kiffin. So Ole Miss back to the drawing board
@@adamb6370What would make you that confident in Kiffin leaving Ole Miss for UF?

You're doing this just for clicks and views. There's nothing new here guys, but you're acting like nobody's ever heard about $13 million or them not honoring the "contract" and Rashada not showing up as an early enrollee. Nothing you goofballs said didn't come out 16 months ago and has already had its affect on recruiting. Rashada has played himself. He'll never see the field as a starter at Georgia, unless there's several injuries.
Also, stop saying "Florida did this...." and "Napier did that..." because a booster promised the money, a booster paid the $150k and a booster called the deal off. The deal was canceled because D.J. Lagway committed, period. Rashada is a punk and his father is a money hungry grifter.
You are slow AF aren’t you! He didn’t show up because Fla didn’t play the 500,000 dollars in Dec! Fla is a slime ball program! They just decided not to pay what was promised! No recruit will consider that trash program
The Dec 5, 2022, deadline passed without making the $500,000 payment. The next day the collective terminated the agreement. Sounds like an admission on the part of the collective that they did have an enforceable contract! They owe Rashada at least the 500k and maybe more.
I completely agree with this point right here. If they would've backed out on Dec 4 then no issue. But not paying on time then end the deal the day after is low
Y’all can shut up about saying it makes Florida and Billy looks bad when in reality it doesn’t! The kid is a selfish greedy person who wants money! I hope he start at Georgia next year so he can get smack by my Gators 🐊
This was pure anti Florida bias then against Billy Napier 😂
You don’t even have to like UF but you don’t have a recording of Napier saying anything. You have Rashada side saying he promised something. That’s it. And this ain’t new news. Ya’ll gotta do better.
Gotta do better bruh 😂🤦🏾♂️
You flipped from commentator to fan with the anti/ UF rhetoric. This was a year ago now. No current UF players are having issues. You are gaslighting
Good talk guys I enjoy the show thank you. Nice to hear a little foul language here and there too keeps it authentic like I’m hanging with the fellas haha
Foul language = ignorance
This is why REAL college football teams like GA and Bama don't pay them until they show up and prove it on the field!
This is FL's fault to being desperate enough to offer 14 million to a HS kid! Sunbelt Billy is a loser and i hope he stays at FL for 10 more years!
GO DAWGS
Yeah, they've both paid recruits BEFORE they played a down. Before they even signed the NLI. They've paid recruits to come to visits while they were still in high school. Don't be so naive man.
