MARRIAGE CAN SUCK IT
Ah to be 22, washed up and fuckin' through. You're a pair of K-mart shoes: plastic and phony and with the belief that happiness in life is matrimony. Padlocked to wedlock cuz time's a wastin' to hurry up and waste your life in marriage. Entrapment = death, caught in a web, sentenced to a harsh life of eating meals together and sharing the same bed, ick! How about you just invite me to the divorce instead. Skip the serenade and the bullshit promises your mom and dad would've made. Honeymoon narcosis brains in a love-bong like anyone really waits that long cuz the way I see it you were already fucked way before you ever got fitted for the stupid tux. You are fucking losers, and I hope your kids are ugly.
YOUTH ATTACK
We're tired of being your fucking commodity,
retouching your faces obsessed with your bodies,
listen - the tapped well's destined to stay dry
so give it up and hear our fucking battle cry:
As adult oblivion beckons, now's the time for a YOUTH ATTACK!
Treat me like a kid - it's what I fucking am.
Plastic surgery cant hide the fact that grown-ups
aren't my friends you fucking old bastards
I know you wanna be me ...ha ha!
How old are you anyway? 23?!
As adult oblivion beckons now's the time for a YOUTH ATTACK!
These days are going fast so don't look back
cause before you know it your bald and fat.
Fear of crow's feet and spare tires spawned this tide of youth
that's surging in me cuz I don't wanna be 30.
So fuck your maturity. When the scab of youth has been picked
the scar of maturity will set in, and then you're dead!
LETS START ANOTHER WAR SO I CAN SING ABOUT STOPPING IT
"Hero" tags pinned on with moldy pro-war bumper stickers secured over eyes and mouths dangling limp from yellow ribbon collecting dust on closet coat racks long forgotten memories shelved and human emotion reduced to memorabilia and hey dude the TV's on so this memorial day I'll see you at the blow out sale in the mall.
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE NERD KIND
The truth is out there for the social skill-less on top of the nerd list, who got beamed up to the pocket protected alien craze, panning out to be way more fun than last months wild and crazy battletech phaze. You dorks! You got the green wet dream sickness and I think you fucking suck. Got your sleeveless jeans jacket on every day that proudly displays your "I believe" backpatch stitched over the old one with the toilet that read "metal up your ass", and it's so fukengruven to know that 17 different alien stickers adorn each of your cars windows, driving home in style to go surf the net all night awaiting the next signal for your ticket to ride out of this place but your brain's the only thing floating in outer space. I got all the fucking answers, just ask me 'cause theres no signs of intelligent life forms here and that aint no conspiracy.
20 songs in under 13 minuets. I love powerviolence.
very fast for a minuet, which is usually in slow waltz time
This album goes more intro fastcore territory.
"fastcore" lol it's just hardcore, bro
And about 2 of those minutes are samples
richard harrison demo 2 songs under 1 minute
Charles Bronson received a Grammy for best vocal performance on a record for this amazing solo record of his.
The Grammy for best contemporary Christian album goes to Charles Bronson youth attack

whole album is legendary but damn do the samples and Deaf and Dumb stand out for me
the greatest hardcore record in existence (probably).
every song is just so perfect
Charles Bronson sounds like a 33 rpm record played at 45. I like it
Ep: 10min
Lp: 12min
Gotta love Charles Bronson
Good wholesome music for the entire family to enjoy around the tree.
I fucking wish
Charles Bronson and Los Crudos. Ah my youth... :(
Los crudos! Yes
Damn this is way better than I expected. So many catchy hooks that they just gloss over
Every time I listen to this album it makes me so incredibly happy and laugh so hard. Top 5 for ever for sure.
just makes me grin from ear to ear ... pure unmitigated fun
3 quarters of The Locust are in Holy Molar, along with the vocalist of Charles Bronson. All great bands.
man this makes me so damn happy... this was in my car's tape player (taped from vinyl) for a good couple years, 2000-2002 or so, nearly continuously (the rest of the tape was taken up by Palatka and Orchid)
I hope u didn't use to listen to Epilogue of a car crash while driving!! hahahah
This like what DRI's 22 Songs was for us old folks. Quality entertainment.
That's a fire comparison. 11 years later hope all is well ❤️
love this band. i played with pillage and lifes a few years back. the singer of pillage drummed for cb. was a dream come true. awesome dudes, wish this was still a thing...
This LP melts my face off every time I listen to it. In a good way.
Ebro's drumming is top notch! Top 5 drummers in hardcore history. A legend of hardcore drumming.

Do you have any ONE LIFE CREW records...one life crew...yeah...AWWW DUDE...i d'ont know why it makes me laugh that much
I swear mane this and the lack of interest LP trapped inside are the perfect yin and yang to the powerviolence perfection
Funny you say that because every time i listen to the trapped inside lp i always listen to youth attack right after. It's intuitive. Classics.
Man I’m so fucking glad I heard this album before I die
If u can't hear the laughter in the vocals, then you just don't get it. This is wild music that's not neat and well organized like metal, nothing serious to worry about. That's why it's the most meaningful 10" in my stack.
Huh
Lol that last sentence
EXACTLY. this album is FUN...let tf loose and rock out. that's the spirit here isn't it? POWER violence
It is actually well organised chaos. Its extremely tight
Well I imagine the band had some issues with the adults in their lives. I still relate to these lyrics in a way despite being nearly 30. You can be older and wiser while still retaining the rebellious spirit and individuality of your youth.
true
the singer was 22 when this came out, so they weren't that young.
@@lumpenproletarier9584 nor serious about the song.
LYRIC ANALYSTS CAN SUCK IT
Even past the days of my youth, there is still much to be rebellious about in this twisted fucked up world!
Lyric sheets for this band must be worth a fortune
Not positive my current copy has them (this is the 4th time I've owned this record somehow... I'm a little bummed that this one's poster has clippings on the edges but then again I hung my first copies' poster when I was a teenager so it's kind of cool) but I think the lyrics are in the LP. At least some pressings. They're in tiny condensed hand-written shots if I remember right but they can clearly be read. My eyes are absolute horseshit and I have an astigmatism in the right one, so I'm unsure if I could read it now, but if people really wanted to see lyrics I know that some copies of this came with them. And if I'm wrong, I'm thinking of another release. Hard copies of most vinyl (again not sure if all releases that had re-releases and diff. record labels putting them out all were the same...) have lyrics, or at least some lyrics. I gotta check and see which ones do/don't later...
I wish complete discogcrappy had lyrics in the liners for convenience but I think most of the lyrics *are* out there if not expensive because some of their vinyl goes for a pretty penny. One of IL's finest...
The 10inch has the lyrics. However getting a copy even a repress is gonna cost you like 80 to 100 usd.
after all these years. this is so much quality record. fuck. still love it.
Definitely 🎉
That was just a little bit too Chuck Bronson for me, Scully.
Charles Bronson is the best drinking buddy!!
He really is❤
This needs another vinyl reissue NOW!
They did. 25th anniversary. Not many pressings. Box set editions with coffee table book too. Sold out fast. Can get on Discogs if you take a bank loan out.
WHY AM I SO ANGRY RIGHT NOW? WHO DID THIS AND HOW CAN I BEAT HIM UP?
This is what bewildered anger would sound like, if you could bottle it.
Some of the most instantly cathartic stuff I've ever heard.
Calm down. Its just lovely music
Youth Attack! Is such an amazing song!
My homie in high school made me a tape of this band back in the late 90's. Shit blew my mind. I'm still a fan an more so a fan of the actor they're named after.

really profound ...Andy Warhole would have been pleased....
Nice karaoke stuff. And if you miss a word or two, nobody will complain.

I can't stop listening to this. It's so good.
Rocked this back in highschool 2002
in every hardcore/punk documentary when they get to the nineties, they totally gloss over this album/band/scene, and it makes me want to punch the fucking screen. All the Harcdore(punk) OG's have no idea that their original ideas continued to grow and evolve into Fastcore and powerviolence, They all say hardcore died in the 80s, and thrash and metal tookover, then there was Nirvana, Green day, Pennywise, rancid, and that recent vice one even ended on Title fight? seriously? Hardcore (Punk) evolved and kept going into Infest, capitalist casualties, Dropdead, Scholastic Deth, XbrainiaX...etc. I feel like this is common knowledge amongst people watching this, I just dont get why it gets NO CRED.
+0satanisboring0 i agree man..
+0satanisboring0 All of the bands you named dropped there are powerviolence, which was its own thing during the 90's and went largely unnoticed by the mainstream. They don't get cred because they didn't influence the landscape within MAINSTREAM music (Which is what those documentaries you talk about are referring to), in any way. It doesn't really matter though, that doesn't change the influence that a lot of those bands have had outside of the mainstream so why bother caring? Just listen to them and don't give a fuck. I'm pretty sure the bands themselves don't care either.
Weekend Nachos but the hardcore(punk) bands of the 80s were not, for the most part(sure black flag had some recognition) mainstream. And powerviolence/fastcore is, to me, a very logical evolution of hardcore(punk) of the 80's. The fact that they(documentary makers) go from the eighties scene, which was largely underground, straight to the where the money was i.e: Rancid, Pennywise, Offspring....etc makes me sad, Young kids watching these docs are being misguided, and the narrative is totally driven by where the money is/went. Not the most important issue in the world to be caring about, i know. Been listening to these bands for 20+ years and cant help but feeling like a very important part of musical history is slighted and needs to be corrected.
Who needs cred?
Why the fuck are you watching documentaries on punk or hardcore anyway. Isn't that like an oxymoron.
This makes me want to chew water
This fucking fuels my skate sessions❗️❗️
This band is the reason I became a fan of Charles Bronson movies, lol
I live this album! Noise to my ears.
I'm gonna tell my kids this is the real knocked loose😂
