My all time favorite Rhino moment is, during the Civil War, the Punisher gets a tip that some low level thugs got ahold of Stilt Man's old equipment. Frank is on the roof of the building across the street waiting for them to come out so he can gun them down. While waiting, Rhino shows up to feed his buddy's pigeons and convinces Frank not to kill these guys, telling him that "There's a difference between being guilty and being stupid." Frank reluctantly agrees and packs his gear up and leaves with both Frank and Rhino wishing each other a Merry Christmas.
Wow! I didnt realize that the Rhinos story was so compelling! He was a pretty one dimensional character on the '60's cartoon and most of the comics i have read. Very cool! Now about that Trapster video....
The Rhino is an underrated gem. He has a LOT of potential as a character but most writers seem to think he should be portrayed as nothing more than a hired brute! Really GOOD writers try to make him a little more sympathetic.
I've always liked rhino and his motivations, while he is a dumb brute who wants power deep down he has morals and like spiderman wants a normal life.

I know they eventually have to bring classic characters back to their original status quo, but in this one Alexis's motivation doesn't seem (that) forced.
I can't blame him. He lived a normal life and refused to be the Rhino again on multiple occasions. But Spider-Man really is, in a way, responsible for the death of Oksana.
It's just sad to see his character development become undone.
Should've just let Rhino handle his business with the upstart, maybe even help him take the dude down to gain a true ally. I don't blame Peter, but this is one of those moments his usual ways wouldn't work.
@@juniorjunior5884 Agreed. We all know Peter's philosophy, he always takes responsibility for everything, always prefers solving problems (even other people's problems) on his own/ by himself. So yeah, that's his mistake. He should've just teamed up with Aleksei.
But as they say, we create our own demons. Peter inevitably let his fear of Aleksei turning back to a life of crime become a reality.
If we expand your logic, you can essentially blame everyone for everything. I get what you said, but looking at stories this way will always make you dissapointed.

WOW! I never knew that about RHINO. That he got married and became good for a while. That’s why I love this origin stuff!
Most bad guys are good. The reason that makes them do what they do most don't understand the reason. They just go about it wrong. I root for the so-called bad guy sometimes. Sometimes it's to help someone else.
The Rhino is one my favorite Spidey foes.
I used to think he was just a dumb , powerful brute. He's more than that.

He´s like Colossus and the Thing... super strong, but always comes in 2nd
When they first fought, easily, though later Rhino ended up closer to Hulk's default power with some light gamma treatments of his own.

I love Spiderman and all of his rogues gallery. With that being said, I never knew the Rhino had such an interesting Back story. There was a period where I had missed a huge amount of storylines and comics. I didn’t know the Rhino tried to leave his past life as a villain behind and that he had gotten married. This was a very entertaining and informative video. I look forward to seeing more of your content. Cheers!

I think the saddest comic issue I read featuring Rhino, was after the Civil War and the Death of Captain America arcs. Spider-Man, wearing a black suit (not the symbiote) mourns at a local graveyard. He then attacks Rhino visiting the place, mistaking him for being up to no good and angrily asking if he's killed anyone (Cap) lately. The saddest part about it, is that Rhino hadn't attacked or killed anyone. He was visiting his mother's grave. And Spider-Man not only attacked him unprovoked, but caused him to break his mother's tombstone.
During the battle with a now enraged Rhino, Spider-Man has flashbacks to when he fought Hulk and was saved by Cap. Spider-Man beats Rhino, but it is bittersweet as this was a battle he was responsible for.

The Rhino was such an Idiotic Character in the Spiderman movie. Why didn't a Police Sniper take him out? He stuck his head out of his Exo-Suit so many times.
@@malhavok-752 if a sniper shot him from the shock of his body he would’ve fired his bullet that he was pointing killing people and his mask shuts before a sniper bullet could get to him if they tried to kill him it would’ve failed and they would’ve died
Nice job and most appreciated! I am currently buying back issues of Spider-Man (all titles) and am aware it would be impossible to get everyone! I decided to focus on good story archs and clearly books featuring the Rino would be excellent to add to my collection because I am really into character development.

It's very possible that's a detail I missed. I didn't see that in the books I read while writing this video but it very well may have been established elsewhere.

Its sad though in the end a title he wanted nothing too do with, a life he wanted too leave all just came crashing back. He was a real man who tried too do his best too change and be a good person but the loss just ended up making him what everyone always thought of him a villain.
That's what kinda sucks about the comic book world. Once you're (insert hero/villain name here) you're practically doomed to always be that. Even if you retire or whatever, something always forces you back into the mantle.
The Rhino has always been very enigmatic to me. How what is essentially a guy wearing the equivalent of Rhinoceros furry type costume not only becomes somehow a supervillain but one capable of taking on Spiderman.

Best Rhino story was when he teamed up with Abomination and took out the Hulk Buster base. The Hulk was even losing the fight between the 2 villains when they decided to both charge at him at full speed.
Hulk stepped out of the way and tbe 2 villains KO'd each other.
Shit was TIGHT.
