They were two punk bands from the 70s and HAD NO RECORD THEN. COOKIE PUSS is their first release, and that was in 1984.
This song is a masterpiece, a mini 12min 9 song album to end the greatest album of all time with the same beat that leads right back in to the first track To All The Girls.....

The album Some Old Bullshit collects all their hardcore punk songs, and then adds the Cookie Puss single, when they switched over to hip hop. This was before their first album. Cookie Puss is a hip-hop influenced novelty song, but it got some play and inspired them to transition over. A good move. Hardcore punk continued on but mostly it was exhausting itself by the mid-80s. I can see how hip-hop was new and fun and seemed limitless at the time.
Also, a good Beasties punk song to try is Mullethead. It was a B-Side from the 4th album but I think it’s my favorite hardcore track by them. Great riff and energy.
They beat boxed AFTER it was popular and on purpose. They always did the opposite of trends. You have to listen to the last 16 minutes without stopping. Hard to do on a reaction, I know.

You got the beat box the sampels the scratches, it's groovy and funky, the changing in sound and production the seventies vibes oh man this depents on the whole pauls boutique album. When in first came out in germany it was not a big sucess as the first album because it was totaly different and some fans of the first album diden't like it. The independent bloodhound gang tracks are crazy... Some of the people in the band left when they got signed and they got less crazy and hiphop oriented.
When this sophomore album dropped in '89, most Beastie fans were disappointed as was I. This album grew on me many years later, it's a classic. Little known fact, Paul's Boutique album contains the most samples ever.
