I've seen John5 live, twice. DO NOT miss him is he ever comes to your town. Tickets are affordable & one of the best things I love about John 5 is that he loves the smaller venues due to the camaraderie with the crowd. He is such a gentleman. Sets a great example for what a rocker should be & act, very humble. Also, keeps his set-up simple...Boss, thanks for the interview! Best answer for the vid at 9:06--Because Boss is the best!
John5 is the ultimate in everything!! Wicked articulation in not only how he plays but how he speaks and comes across as such a humble and modest guy. The people he has worked with on music scores for film, T.V, etc. It's just such a endless list of credentials. Even today he can be found as a session guitarist for some massive acts. He says he's lucky to play with and for them, in truth it is them who are lucky to have him. A master craftsman with a wicked dress sense to boot!!:))
Stumbled across John 5 a couple of months ago. Knew about Manson and recognise the head movement now. Saw him live with the creatures here in the UK last week, well impressed.
First time I ever heard John speak. Sounds like a really down home friendly person. Very modest for someone who's been there and done that. Refreshing to see
Everybody else in the comments needs to do research! The interviewer is Gary Lenaire, guitarist from the band Tourniquet, one of the greatest thrash metal bands ever!
John is a great player and the nicest guy. I don't really like that he's so associated with his image. The guy is great without the costumes. I guess getting the Manson gig did it, and if he breaks away from it people would freak.
Terrible interviewer...very indifferent. Still, John is very interesting to listen to. Oh..if you think they arent in the same room then watch their feet. There in lies your answer.
no matter if you're a blues guy, a jazz guy or a metal guy, you cant deny that john 5 is a legend

I don’t want to hear anyone say anything more about Mick , this man is a musical genius and Motley got extremely lucky to get this guy
John5 is a one off and should be recognised for his unique style of playing as he don't sound like anyone else.
His technical ability is out of this world!
J5 you do rock. Thank you so much for keeping guitar fresh.
My thoughts exactly. Being a Schenker fan for over 40 years, it's so great to have some newbie create such outstanding new stuff.
Love John5's work from Manson to his solo work.
Hard working and humble guitarist.

John 5 the best!!!
10:38 absolutely hypnotic. If you put the right words to either you would have a hit.
DLR Band is David Lee Roth's best solo record, and John 5's best work. John is all over that record.
one of the best guitar player I've seen live.the other would be danny gatton.
nice interview
I'm going to try the Tera Echo on my pedal steel.
My guitar idol
Riggghhtt....that's what I thought...he just practically shut his eyes for quite some time...I thought he is such a terrible interviewer...
guitar geek geeking out watching a guitar geek geeking out about other guitar geeks
Holy mother of God, 10:37-12:18 is some serious stuff.
+Jazz He really is amazing :D
Jerry Reed was wicked good!!

I bet buckethead wishes that hed taken interviews alot more serious as John is more known and respected I'm not shitting on buckethead but you know
What amps are those
What about Roy Clark?
Where is his guitar? I bet he was freaking out.
He also handed over the pedal.
I can't believe he got jacked 1:08
Bella kiss?
Agree with everyone on this thread. This interviewer sucked but since John is so pleasant, a good interview was salvaged nevertheless
It looks like he is photoshopped into the picture. I don't think they are even in the same room
God interview, but the guy doesn't show interest in what John say, just read and look to the iPad, crappy journalist!
tera echo sucks
