I have to give your guy john some serious props, I know why you guys do it but for someone to tag along and his job is to record the hunt is incredible to hike that kind of terrain and continue day in and day out. You guys have quite a loyal friend. Thanks John for all you do to bring us Corey and donnie's hunts. You have our respects. I think I can speak for everyone. Damn man you're appreciated
I'm guessing John is a paid cameraman. It's his job, while he's doing it. Not saying he doesn't deserve props for putting up with everything, including the "dad jokes". LOL
You guys are definitely rocking it. I gotta say John is the man when it comes to humping all that gear up and down those drainages, all to capture the hunt that Corey and Donnie are doing. He's got my vote for one of the best cameramen out there for sure!
I appreciate you guys showing us the difficult and slow days as well! Not every video is a highlight reel but it definitely shows how much hard work is put in to reach success!
Steep and Deep! I always love getting to the top and seing the awesome view that goes on for miles and miles with no sign of civilization. It makes the climb worth it. Beautiful country!
These are much needed for off-season preparation. Makes me remember the type of shape a guy needs to be in to cover that kind of ground. Not saying a guy has to, but if I'm traveling the distance to get there and spend all the money it takes to participate, I sure don't want my physical ability to keep me from finding elk.
"What Goes Up Must Come Down" Hope your knees are holding up! Hunting is an adventure. then comes the grind. I love the dedication to the 3-P's Persistence, Patience and Perserverance. Great effort. keep up the search. See you tomorrow.
I am a member of elk101 and love watching the bow hunting, but watching you guys gun hunt does provide a different leaning experience that is appreciated.
I’m in awe of what you do. I’m in awe of what you have to put up with. I’m in awe of how long you do it for. I’m in awe of the country you do it in. And I’m especially in awe of who you do it for like all those kids who for one reason or other have had serious life threatening complications!!! Great job guys!!! Thank you n May GOD BLESS YOU ALL IN ALL THAT YOU DO!!!
I need to quit waiting until 10:30 or later at night to start watching these with crying babies....sometimes I can't tell if it's the baby screaming or Corey bugling and that is getting me into trouble with the wife..
I love watching your videos because they depict hunting accurately. You rarely (if ever) will be able to go out and get a bull in 30 minutes like the all the hunting videos make it seem. you guys show the struggle and hard work that actually goes into the hunt and it helps me remember the work it takes to be successful!
Hunts like that show how important it is to be in good elk shape. I am going through UEH again and revisited the chapter about getting in shape. Beautiful country!!!
I am so glad to have this content right now. This has motivated me to start rucking training. Last year I put in nearly 100 miles prior to elk season, without that would have been sucking wind opening weekend. This content in the heart of winter is a good push to get dialed in early. Thanks!!
My favorite thing about elk hunting?.... it sure does humble you. Never have I worked SO hard, to come out empty handed...(only in meat though) you always come out with great stories and memories regardless!!!! Great video guys!
Llamas are amazing. They make hiking in the backcountry look easy. Having to hike down and back up higher would definitely make me picky too. Keeps the series going too!
I have a ton of respect for John. The guy just keeps trucking without a tag. I've been there and it isn't always easy to tag along and put in the work when it isn't your tag. When it comes together though and you see the effort that you and the others put in, it makes everything worth it.
I have to agree with another comment that the camera man deserves props. He's the quiet person behind the scenes. Climbing the mountains, carrying the camera equipment, making sure the batteries are charged, the list could go on and on I'm sure. So props the camera people. May seem like a dream job to some but it's a tough job.
Thank you for sharing another great hunt. I miss the mountains of Idaho and the breathtaking views. The work you all put in is greatly appreciated. It is also refreshing to see you contemplate shooting something that far in.
Destination V3 was a great season 👍👍. Corey and Donnie, you guys did an amazing job putting out some really good content. Keep up the good work guys!!!
Hiking that steep country is rough hard work and sometimes makes you loose motivation and focus, but gotta remember to just take everything in. It's about the journey, not always the destination. Way to put in the work!
Wow, that is some tough, steep, and dry country! I bet if u find water, you will find more elk. Thankfully you had Donnie's jokes and small snack pantry with to face any long waits for elk!:)
Watched every episode atleast once but forgot to comment!! What a series thank you for all the entertainment the past month. Already looking forward to next year lol! 👍
Steep and lots of vertical is brutal hunting! Makes my knees hurt just thinking of having to go back down each day! Love the different t-shirts this season!!!
Those days can be so difficult to keep a positive mindset. I have been there before where you feel defeated so you put your head down, boots to the ground and end up bumping elk. Nice work grinding men!
Let’s go up that hill they said. My knees, “no more please.” Sometimes you gotta go straight up to come down successfully. Keep it up on the great content!
Last episode I said that's one of my bucket list hunts. But after watching you guys I think when I do go I'll make sure it's not so steep. It does look beautiful there.
My buddy and I are hunting stuff like this in Idaho this year! "I need to work harder" hope we don't have to clime that high but I bet we do. 12 days but we're bringing camp with. I'll look into the Llamas!! Thanks for being cool and doing what you do!
That’s some beautiful country, you guys really portrayed how difficult it is to hunt some of those steep & deep areas. Lots of Bugle Berry Ignite required to make those climbs 💪🏼
What I’m expecting when I go out,.. elk in the wrong spot,.. hopefully I’ll learn enough when I finally get my chance. Sorry few episodes behind. But I’m gonna catch up tonight. Good episode again as always.
That's some brutal elk country! I'll be probably in that same boat this coming season with my goats. Should be a good time like always. Great adventure so far!
Amazing looking country, you definitely need to be in good shape and definitely well prepared and ready for whatever life/nature can throw at you!! Keep it up with that amazing content!!
I have to give your guy john some serious props, I know why you guys do it but for someone to tag along and his job is to record the hunt is incredible to hike that kind of terrain and continue day in and day out. Thanks john

Heck yeah John is awesome
Donnie “try spotting some in our unit” good line
You guys are definitely rocking it. I gotta say John is the man when it comes to humping all that gear up and down those drainages, all to capture the hunt that Corey and Donnie are doing. He's got my vote for one of the best cameramen out there for sure!
This episode definitely portrays how tough it gets during post rut sometimes. The tuff days make the good days even sweeter.
I appreciate you guys showing us the difficult and slow days as well! Not every video is a highlight reel but it definitely shows how much hard work is put in to reach success!

I appreciate the dedication boys. Keep grinding, you never disappoint.
Country like that makes me want to go see what’s around every corner
I’m in awe of what you do. I’m in awe of what you have to put up with. I’m in awe of how long you do it for. I’m in awe of the country you do it in. And I’m especially in awe of who you do it for like all those kids who for one reason or other have had serious life threatening complications!!!
Great job guys!!!
Thank you n May GOD BLESS YOU ALL IN ALL THAT YOU DO!!!
"The elk are where you find them." - Marcus Hockett. Good luck finding them
Tough hunt!
“Speaking of Llama farts” “That’s funnier than his dad jokes.” 😂😂😂😂😂
Wait until he gets to the Dad farts........
Glad to see the humility between you guys when it gets hard. Good to have good people in your corner.
I need to quit waiting until 10:30 or later at night to start watching these with crying babies....sometimes I can't tell if it's the baby screaming or Corey bugling and that is getting me into trouble with the wife..
"You're blaming the llamas?!" Haha
I love watching your videos because they depict hunting accurately. You rarely (if ever) will be able to go out and get a bull in 30 minutes like the all the hunting videos make it seem. you guys show the struggle and hard work that actually goes into the hunt and it helps me remember the work it takes to be successful!
You can’t run through a campsite. You can only ran, because it’s past tents.
Hunts like that show how important it is to be in good elk shape. I am going through UEH again and revisited the chapter about getting in shape. Beautiful country!!!

I like how you guys don’t just show the kills, but also the real grind an frustration during the hunt
Llamas are amazing. They make hiking in the backcountry look easy. Having to hike down and back up higher would definitely make me picky too. Keeps the series going too!

The friendship all of you share is the best part of your videos
just raw, untouched looking country. Always feel best when it takes enough from you that you feel humbled about the reward you take from it.
It's hard to appreciate being that deep in the backcountry and how hard it is to get there until you've done it. Great job guys.
Straight up and down is why you get in shape. It’s not all roads and ridges. Loved the episode!
The perseverance is an inspiration - my lack of calling is a hindrance - that great of a caller “still” working that hard is dedication!
"I'm about to even the score...Get Ready"...cant get the opening song out of my mind. Look forward to it every night.
One of the last channels I can follow consistently with the content. Thanks guys

Love that you guys keep it real. Show the good and the challenging, and keep having fun even when it’s challenging!
Thank you for sharing another great hunt. I miss the mountains of Idaho and the breathtaking views. The work you all put in is greatly appreciated. It is also refreshing to see you contemplate shooting something that far in.
Thank you Cory and Donnie for just an incredible hunt!!!
Destination V3 was a great season 👍👍. Corey and Donnie, you guys did an amazing job putting out some really good content. Keep up the good work guys!!!
You guys do a great job chronicling the journey of elk hunting! Donnie's dad jokes are on point this yr!
Wow I can only imagine how tough that hike has to be. When it effects you guys and your used to it and ready for it. Food for prospective. Thanks
I have complete appreciation for the hard work and efforts into developing these videos
Hiking that steep country is rough hard work and sometimes makes you loose motivation and focus, but gotta remember to just take everything in. It's about the journey, not always the destination. Way to put in the work!
Elk or no elk. The scenery is awesome. Thank you for filming this part of the wilderness that I won't see in real life.
Llamas are a game changer!! SOOOOOO awesome to see you guys using them!! Thanks for bringing us along!! 😁🤙🏹🦌
Makes me remember all of the slow days I have had too. Beautiful country to be in. Waiting to see those llamas do some work!
Wow, that is some tough, steep, and dry country! I bet if u find water, you will find more elk. Thankfully you had Donnie's jokes and small snack pantry with to face any long waits for elk!:)
Man, that is some rugged but beautiful country. Makes me tired and sore just watching you guys hike.
Cant imagine gaining that much elevation. Props to all three of you, sticking to it!
The hunts I work the hardest on seem to be the ones I remember the most. Somehow makes it more memorable.
Showing the reality of elk hunting. The miles put in, the hard work.
Steep country! Straight up and down. You're going to work for this one!! Keep it coming!
Committed. Very inspiring and depicts real life western hunting! Definitely one of those situations you check your sanity. 😃
Those days can be so difficult to keep a positive mindset. I have been there before where you feel defeated so you put your head down, boots to the ground and end up bumping elk. Nice work grinding men!
The beauty of hunting in the west... so much work.. but it all pays off in the end!
Hunts like this show you how good of shape you're really in! Hopefully it pays off soon
Trekking pole country! Every episode is like heading over the next ridge for me. Good work.
Enjoyed:
1. You found elk
2. That rifle hunting isn’t always as easy as we think
3. Good dad jokes and hard work
Let’s go up that hill they said. My knees, “no more please.” Sometimes you gotta go straight up to come down successfully. Keep it up on the great content!
The llama interview at the end is nice. They have a personality.
That is some steep and awesome country. Love backcountry hunts. I can't wait till I get to do it again some day
Last episode I said that's one of my bucket list hunts. But after watching you guys I think when I do go I'll make sure it's not so steep. It does look beautiful there.
I’ve been working out of town and habit been able to watch daily. I can’t wait to catch up I wait all year for this series
Gotta have enough goodies to get up and down those mtns...thanks for the footage. Beautiful country.
Those are the kind of mountains people train for! Way to keep at it, Even though it's a rifle hunt, you guys still make it fun to watch.
My buddy and I are hunting stuff like this in Idaho this year! "I need to work harder" hope we don't have to clime that high but I bet we do. 12 days but we're bringing camp with. I'll look into the Llamas!! Thanks for being cool and doing what you do!
‘“Im not coming back up here’ is exactly how all of us would have felt from the looks of it!
Steep and deep!! That’s some crazy country. I’m winded just watching it.
Refreshing to see the professional elk hunters can struggle at times. It is good to know the are human as well.
and its always steeper in reality than on the video! That's some rugged and beautiful country!
Just watching them hike around those steep canyons makes my legs hurt 😂
Those are some brutal hills. Good thing you have dad jokes to keep the morale high!
That’s some beautiful country, you guys really portrayed how difficult it is to hunt some of those steep & deep areas. Lots of Bugle Berry Ignite required to make those climbs 💪🏼
Donnie’s sense of humor is great! Love how he’s always got a dad joke!
Love the dedication. Nothing worthwhile comes easy!!
Right on!! Finally got into elk. So crazy how steep that country is.
Brutal hunt but the work it worth it. Keep showing up and teaching me things I don't think about.
Awesome views in country like that. Always take the time to just sit back and soak it all in.
This episode represents the aspect of hunting that helps you know that without a doubt - you have truly earned every ounce of meat.
Always look forward to watching this series!
Love the dedication from you guys! It's real inspiring for some of us who want to do this to take the steps and someday make it happen!!
That's an impressive hike straight up. My first elk hunt last fall really brought those topo lines into focus. Embrace the suck. It makes the story.
Absolutely love the passion and details you guys share in your videos! Keep up the great work!
I love watching your videos. The discussion and scenery and both success and rare failure is always interesting.
Always learn something from each episode. Like the Strategies for Success. Also really appreciate Elk101 university.
Donnie’s pack looks like he threw his whole snack bad inside. Crazy amount of treats. 😂
The hardest hunts are the most memorable! Every mile a memory, even the vertical ones😅
Appreciate you showing the tough days as well.
Amazing looking country, you definitely need to be in good shape and definitely well prepared and ready for whatever life/nature can throw at you!! Keep it up with that amazing content!!
Straight up and straight down. The elk make it look so easy!
Dad jokes are the bomb! Love you guys!
Pushing hard! Way to get after it. Fun country and always enjoy watching.
Another great video showing exactly how hunting goes. Thanks!
Watching these episodes well working out definitely makes pushing that extra distance easier. Looking forward to hitting the woods this fall.
Deep and steep surprised you didn’t see more. Lama’s looked amazing maybe some day I can give them a chance
Watching you guys hike that terrain made tired. A reminder to step it up in my routine.
Great perspective on going in deep and utilizing new tools to do so.
"Try spotin' some in our unit for once." Classic. Watching this makes my legs hurt. Did you know it was going to be this bad before you got there?
