Just a touch of her famous "Yodel" ability and a healthy helping of her famous "Shamanic" vibes makes this oldie feel like a brand new song! That is Diana doing what she does best! Interesting that you mentioned how it sounded like Diana was "under water" because she has done a film soundtrack where she portrayed a friendly water spirit in the film "Baikal" and the video was shot underwater!

Diana had a very difficult childhood, she was thrown out of her house by her alchoolic mother and was found in the cold with a brocken bone. She was taken from her mother and was adopted by others. She couldn't speak before she was 5 years old because of this mistreatment. She first sang before she could speak and singing helped her a lot to be able to speak. The one who buzzed in last wasn't being hard to convince. He was waiting for a pause in the song so he wouldn't interrupt her singing with his buzzer. He was annoyed with the other judges interrupting with their buzzers.
I got shocked when I first heard this performance and it was interesting that you said you didn't get shocked. Maybe because you had a mental background from her previous song. Many analysts agree that this is far beyond a masterpiece containing many different vocal techniques. I did NOT like hearing the sound/voice distortion that you used to avoid copyright strikes.
I didn't like it either.
However, the author did a lot of work to get it past the copyright restrictions.
