Filipino Reactor. Keeping it real and natural.
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living outside the Philippines due to job assignment. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my TH-cam Channel and my full-time job as an engineer.
I was a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our choral group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
I was the Glee Club president and was a trainer for various singing competitions when I was in the university - all these were humbling experiences for me.
WHAT IS THE GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others may actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.
I have come to a point of trying to find a greater purpose in life, something beyond just being happy for a moment. Happiness in life is more meaningful if we choose to be useful, be honorable, be compassionate, and make a difference.
When I miss them, make me come here to see the greatness of two sisters who are truly legends. They were born with a voice because both their late parents were also famous country singers/actors around the 50s. Their Golden Vocals are undeniably among the best despite their age...👏👏👏👍🏽

Was trying to search for a song when I stumbled on this reaction video. Interesting fact about the sisters’ mother, Normadiah, is that before her move to Singapore and making her name in the entertainment scene, she was born Edith Sumampo in Manado, Sulawesi. I checked the details to verify because I remembered being told she was of Filipino descent. While Manado is in Indonesia, it's worthwhile to acknowledge that we are of (largely) the same ethnic stock and are part of this beautiful Malay archipelago.

Many forget to mention that their parents are great actors and actress during the golden age of Malay cinema in Singapore at that time. Their mother was an excellent singer, and she also danced and taught dance. Their father also sang. Hence, the daughters are also excellent singers and dancers.
They're siblings.. Azlina aziz(the taller one) is the elder sister. Their parents are famous actor/actress in the 50s-60s.. They were active in singing in 80s-90s.. Younger generations (me as well) might not know both of them but azlina aziz has a very famous Raya song 😂

The sisters are amongst the best vocalists in Malaysia. Few years ago the held a tribute concert to their late mother accompanied by the Malaysian Philharmonic Ochestra and it was sold out. They hardly perform in public nowadays. Hope they make a comeback.
