In this video, we check out one of the greatest establishments in Ireland - the Irish pub. What makes these pubs so welcoming and popular among locals, tourists, first-timers, and seasoned regulars?
The Irish Pub is where truth can never get in the way of a good story. It is the great equalizer, where differences are bridged, inhibitions are dissolved, tongues are loosened, schemes are hatched, songs are sung, and the meaning of life is solved. At the Irish Pub, conversation is on tap and beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.
In the Diamond of Donegal (the downtown village square, shaped like the jewel) we stop in at a trio of bars to experience the legendary pub culture. The first is a lively hangout with singing, traditional music, modern music, darts, pool, card games, board games. Next is a place for a quiet pint with no diversions from singing, traditional music, modern music, darts, pool, card games, or board games. The third, a retreat for serious drinking with no unwelcome diversions from singing, traditional music, modern music, darts, pool, card games, or board games. All feature the Guinness tap, the Smithwicks tap, the lager taps, the neatly stacked rows of glasses, mixed together, they swill the Irish pub culture.

Glad to see people over the world appreciate Irish pub culture but come here sooner rather than later because Irish pub culture is actually in fast decline and Covid 19 made things even worse. Experience the Pint with trad music before it's literally too late.
This video is wonderful but really brings back how different life was before COVID.

From Galway City, recognise Tig Coili & Quays.....heading to Westport next week to climb Croagh Patrick...no booze at Matt Molloys for me though....back to the city after. Malaga in 2 weeks time for 5 nights for some heat, along with Seville, Gibraltar & Almeria-----to see that big Volcanic rock on a beach, from Indiana Jones and the last Crusade....where Sean Connery uses his umbrella to scatter the gulls up into the Nazi's fighter plane....crashing it into the nearby rocks. Love Guinness....but not in heat.....maybe Tequila, along with some iced Cider....Great vid!
