No one can deny that the ezio trilogy story is just hands down amazing. But i will admit that FOR ME PERSONALLY i prefer the kenway games more than the ezio trilogy. And oh my lord, black flag has to be the most overrated. When i first played it i enjoyed the story, especially that heart wrenching ending. But i find myself never going back to play it. In fact every game before unity imo has the least replay ability. My ranking from best to meh is 1)Origins 2)Unity 3)Syndicate 4) the rest im not even going to mention the latest games after origins. Like i said, everyone has different tastes.

I always feel that origins was like a passion project for ubisoft, every game that came out after origins doesn't feel that it had a lot of work put in it

Bayek is in a hot and dry type of desert in egypt, which is extremely hot and you'd have all these heat haze effects and such and you will feel the sun's heat because the sand is too dry and reflects everything. Basim is in a semi-arid desert type which has water inside and is not dry, this is evident due to the fact that there's tons of oasis and greenery in baghdad and its desert where there's next to none and mostly dead plants in egypt.
They are projects by different divisions of Ubisoft. Plus Mirage had a smaller budget than Origins. The devs can only do with what they have and I have to say both teams were brilliant.
I've seen on a video that Basim can hallucinate a load of sand, creating a cyclone that has the creature from his nightmare crawling around inside the cyclone. That said, I've never seen any hallucination when playing the game at all.

I would imagine, had Bordeaux been given Origins money, we’d have seen some intersting goodies and environmental effects. As it was, they did an amazing job with what they were given. I totally hope they’re given the Splinter Cell franchise. I think if they were to get a huge budget for another AC, they might end up losing sight of working under the confines of a smaller game. Keep them small, thinking on their feet, and churning out amazing inexpensive games with a singular focus. Of origins hadnt gone the route of hit sponge enemies, it would have been, for me, the pinnacle of the AC story. These guys- and Grrls are assassins. One blade to the skull is all they need. One strike from the shadows. It shouldn’t take a massive grind to get them to master status- unless you have them train for the first ⅔ of the game to get there. It’s what i loved about mirage; you can murdalaize everyone without ever dipping into the bag of toys. Just a hidden blade and stealth. The toys just add an element of childhood glee!!!
Almost completed Mirage (last assassination) and I'm realising I miss the RPG nature of Laylas trilogy. Granted it wasn't like older style AC and in Valhalla Eivor wasn't even part of the Creed but there is something about Mirage that's just not doing it for me. If it wasn't for Basim in Valhalla I'd have no desire to play which makes me realise if AC finally did away with the modern day story I think I'd be happy to walk away from the franchise.
@@ROBerter-h9u I disagree honestly, they have been like this for 5 years cuz 10 years back they released games such as AC black flag, Far Cry 4, the first versions of r6, Watch Dogs, watch dogs 2, AC Unity (even tho I believe is not as great as its predecessors), it's almost like ever since Fortnite the gaming industry has rapidly been declining in every field (from sports and open world to indies, etc...) they care more about making money and politics than making games that are actually worth 80 freaking bucks, like if u do think about it beside the games I already mentioned there are like 3 or maybe 4 games that are worth a shout out imho (rdr2, tlou2, got, and gow)

Origins has so many little details like these that really add to the immersion. Its definitely the most polished Assassin's Creed game.
As I'm noticing it: It would've been cool if Bayek had shivers in the night when in a desert area. Deserts can become very cold in the night.
