Another epic video;) gotta love these two, I swear they could turn a turd into a diamond. Love both your attitudes, the love you show for us and each other, and your zealous uncanny love for life! I’m looking forward to part two:) I’m glad to see Sarah will have an electric start:)
Of course it will start… these sleds are bullet proof, and a ton of fun. Same as the sled I grew up riding (once my dad bought something newer than from the 70’s).
Classic Phazer 2, 480cc fan cooled twin cylinder. I had one of those, 1992 model. Track busted before, installed new ones, had too much traction, installed plastic skis. And it ran until i sold it 2016. Only once I've changed the pistons, and they crumbled trying to remove the circlip beside the piston. Chassis was crap, so i bought a newer model venture 500 fan cool chassis. And installed my old engine in it. 10 gallon premix ran for 2 weeks. I miss that old engine. Just keep snow and ice of carburetors and it'll run forever.
I just always rent a free one from the local auto parts store. I did purchase a really nice leak down tester, but I didn't feel like doing all the work to do a leakdown on a 2 stroke; just wanted a quick look on if I can run this thing or part it out. Pitter patter!
Thanks man! They're super fun! I have newer more expensive cats but there's something about these sub 400lb fanners that is just awesome for messing around! Love them!
Watching this reminds me why I don't bring the wife out to wrench on stuff.. she'd drive me nuts. Anyways good vid. Just a recommendation, spray all them fasteners a day before wrenching on it and probably not best to use an impact on em
So let me ask you a question what year phaser is that the reason why I'm asking is because I had the same exact snowmobile. And I cannot find anywhere on the sled telling me what the year is. Because I need to get a key for it
Always wanted to get a old sled but never knew what things could happen. Now I do. Lol good job can't wait to hear it.

Keep up the good work you two! Love to watch and learn. What brand/model compression tester do you use? I'm looking for a new one.

I have a HF compression tester. Very inaccurate FYI.
When you pull chokes out of carbs lock em like it's cold. Springs etc. will not come apart.
Good idea! Thanks!
I had a phazer just like that and it was a great sled!

I've been soaking everything in Kroil every few days. Reoiled everything after pressure washing as well, hope it displaces any moisture but we'll see

Depends on graphics.
@@ADDvanced well like I said it is the same exact snowmobile that is in the video. So what year is that sled .
