    This very great work my brother, keeping it healthy and thriving. Its good to share all side of the story not just successes. This IS one of the things we should always have in our plans as famers.
    BUT AM ALSO LOOKING AT A NEED TO HAVE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE WEARS when you are dealing with such issues and even when spraying. It will help to protect the team and also act as a vector control.
    Much love from Malawi.

      Thanks. My boys at the farm don’t want to wear protective gloves even when you can say its dangerous they will still handle with bear hands.

    • @joseykachiza3466
      @joseykachiza3466 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well. But my humble advised would be to still insist with them to wear. It can be a protective measure not only to them but also to your animals because they are dealing with a number of animals and they can act as carriers of such diseases.
      Anyway my advise is just general but I believe you know your context better.

      cutting the absess with a cross makes sure than the wound doesn't close quicker resulting in a proper drainage, salt water is fine I personally prefer Chlorhexadine solution and clean it properly and use acriflavine because acriflavine causes a positive osmotic effect that drains all the bacteria out of the wound(hence the importance of a cross cut on the wound). then a course of antibiotic is important, so short acting oxytetracycline with a high dose of 1ml/5kg daily for three days per week and use potassium iodine(orally) or inject sodium iodine(subcut or intravenous(best option) (discuss dose with a VET) treatment should be for 3-4 weeks long. Reason you do this antibiotic course is because Corynebacterium abscesses(most common) can cause external and internal abscesses(e.g in the lungs). my 2cent
