    Hey man, got it working. Got the sensor you suggested... my bike is no longer a paper weight! Thank you very much for posting this.!

      Did your speed sensor have 3 prong or 4 prong connecter

    Mike's Bike has a UART motor, and I think the CANBUS version takes a different sensor, and it may not have been in the public domain till after this post was made?

    Hi Mike, First off Thanks for your videos; they have been most informative. I had the error code 21 pop up the first week I got my Sondors LX with the M620 Bafang. I adjusted the magnet and it works fine. How do I clear the error codes from the screen? Any info would help. Thanks, Tom

      Yes the magnet should be midway between the attaching screw and where the wire enters the sensor. I’ve seen factories line the magnet with the screw head. What display do you have? Thanks

      Could it be DPC 850???

      @@bobbylee9000 if you can highlight the error line, try holding "+" and "-" and power button at the same time and see if it clears. I cant find any info on the dpc 350.

    I bought the sensor you mentioned still not working. Measured for 5 volts and voila no voltage across the black and red wire. Any suggestions?

    • @filoncmike
      @filoncmike  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 5 volts comes from the controller. Trace the wire back and check for continuity. You may have to open your controller up and check the source. If you do get a new controller, get one that is compatible with the kt lcd3 display because it is programmable.

      @@filoncmike I know this is an old post, but I thought I'd share I have a brand new 620 UART version MOTOR like yours where the speed sensor doesn't work. I carefully stripped back the Red, Blue, and Black lead insulation far enough to attach some probes and I found ground on the black, +5V on the Blue WHEN the controller is on. I was expecting to find the +5V on Red, and wondering if I have a wiring error? this is the best post out there I could find, so I'm hoping others might comment on where they found the +5V from the controller? To provide just a little more info, when I'm viewing the motor side connector with the latching side down, Black is to the left, Blue is in the middle, Red to the right.

      @@georgebreckenridge3351 that definitely is backwards for some strange reason. I just checked the wiring on my spare controller and it is near impossible to get the plugs wrong. Your motor should be under warranty? You can pull the controller out and trace the wires back to verify they each are in the correct plug socket.

    My speed sensor has 4 wires 4 prong connecter how do I wire it to a 3 prong hall sensor

    • @filoncmike
      @filoncmike  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure. Is this for the bbshd? There is a light on that sensor that blinks when you pass the magnet over it. Is it blinking? I haven't taken one of those apart yet. Perhaps if you determine it is not blinking and take it apart it will be apparent which wire is the red (power), black (grnd) and blue signal wire and maybe you can then determine what the other wire is for. Sorry - not much help. Good luck!!!

    • @filoncmike

      Use your multimeter to identify the positive lead and the negative. The other one connected to the 3rd prong on the hall is the signal wire. Use the hall schematic to verify. Could be it is actually 3 wire. The m620 should be 3 wire. Good luck!!!!

    • @filoncmike
      @filoncmike  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tony, make shure you disconnect the sensor at the motor and do not short the positive and negative. You can cook your 5 volt circuit in the controller.
