i've customized myself a new deathrock outfit out of an oversized distressed black t shirt from Primark, a pair of ripped skinny jeans from H&M, some fishnet fingerless gloves and a pendant from a gothic shop, a black leather jacket from a vintage clothing shop and a pair of danish army combat boots from a new army surplus store that recently opened in my hometown
You are such an awesome teacher for the baby bats out there! Love that you're real and show that even we elder goths still eff it up sometimes but there's always a fix! Super cute shirt!
That technique has saved me multiple times by making shirts that didn't fit/were too big/shrunk into favorite pieces of my wardrobe! Well done tutorial!
I'm diying my battle vest right now, but I'm totally gonna do this with the siouxsie shirt I bought after I finish. I wish more goth TH-camrs did diy videos. it's such a crucial part of the scene. 💚
I love watching diy on clothes, it's great to turn them into something unique that's completely your own. Thank you for the up close shots and different angles, it really shows off your technique and how to do it your way. I'd love to be chosen for the shirt!
I remember your Etsy shop. Thank you for sharing this technique. I have a Peter Murphy shirt that has a hole in the back that I just can't throw away, and now I can make it wearable again! YAY!
Awesome! would totally wear this. I've modded a few tees myself but still am always scared to totally fuck them up haha. Good thing is that you could totally make it into a pillowcase or patch if you do
Love the way you did this. And very well explained as well. I definitely appreciated you using an alternate color in the middle to see where you were. Too many Goth DIYs that I have seen, makes it impossible to follow. Well done and keep up the great work!
Your videos on thrifting and making diy clothes have been really cool and inspiring to me. My girlfriend and I are actually going to shop for clothes in ny this weekend. So thank you! Also, I would love to have that shirt !!
Angela! Great tutorial! I miss your etsy shop with your amazing post apocalyptic clothing... I remember drooling over those tops when I was 15, but didn't have money or a credit card to buy anything... There's really nothing out there like the clothes you make (and I've been looking ever since). Do you think you could make more tutorials like this? They are super helpful
My favourite tshirt DIY was from waaay back when Batman Returns came out. I sliced up a black tshirt, actually cut it into pieces, then sewed it back together with thick white thread. Just like Catwoman's outfit from the movie. I personally thought it looked rather amazing. I should make it again, it's been a while.
Literally was looking for a good goth DIY tshirt deconstruction tutorial just a few days ago! I have a bunch of tshirts I never wear because I find plain tshirts super boring and a bunch don't fit anymore anyway. Definitely going to try this out!
ugh i love the distressed look and the tshirt looks awesome. Ive done something similar to a tank top but i dont have the nerve to wear it. ive got a bit of a humedy bumpedy stomach and not that i myself would not like to wear it but having to deal with my mother is tiring. so maybe in a year or two when i move out.
I loved what you did to that shirt! I have been looking at that shirt (because I love the saying) for years! Super awesome and I might try this out on one of my over sized shirts (if I can bring myself to cut up another shirt lol).
I've tried all the DIYs on your channel and I love my shirts 💓💓they look so amazing. 😍I dont have to worry about walking out side and seeing another woman usung the same shirt . 😒😒😊 I tried this DIY on one of my "Kill Shirts " .... long story short. I messed up so badly that I had to discard it 😰 . Im scared of trying this on a shirt I like and ruining it. It's an awesome design 😍 I know it's a long shot ... but it would be really awesome if I could have the shirt .
I love the way you did the strips in the back! I was trying to think of a way to not show all of my bra when making one of these shirts and having the strips not very wide on the top is just what I was looking for. Thanks for the tutorial! Just in time for summer!
I love this! I usually crop a lot of my tees but that is as far as I get with them. This tutorial really helped and worked perfectly! Thank you so much!😄
i love this vid. :) i used to do similar... angled crop, cut off the collar and sleeve seams, slit up each side rough stitched back together with dental floss. good stuff!
Angela Benedict awesome! I've always wanted to do this to some of my shirts but I'm so scared I might mess them up. You made it so simple I think I will try this style. Thanks again.
Great video as always Angela. Thanks for the tutorial. I have some skull shirts I really need to DYI but wasn't sure how I wanted to do them. The laddering effect might work well. What do you think of intentional non-symmetry? One of my skull shirts has the graphic in such a way on the front that leaves an open area that is just black. I'm thinking of maybe making the latter in that 'open' spot in the front/side. I'd love to have that shirt, please, but as I'm a larger sized individual, I'm wondering what size it is?
I, for some reason thought it was a good idea to go along with the video instead of watching it all the way through first. needless to say I made the same mistake and cut the wrong loop but it's fine. Since there were lyrics on the back I just did it to both sides but left the other side as vent. And I love it, it brought new life to my favorite band tee and I hope to do to more tees.
A shirt I've had for bloody ages is kind of losing the graphic that is on it. This is a very interesting idea. I was planning on putting the shirt in a shadowbox or simply tacking it onto my wall, but I might try your method instead.
I would love to have this shirt💕 I'm usually pretty terrible at creating things but I think your video helped inspired me to start trying again until I get it right.
I'm not even goth (I'm on the board of alternative and normal) and I have been binge watching your videos and I fell in love with this shirt design. But I am confused as to how to end the ladder effect?
Naturally, the shirt I wanted to do this on, didn't have side seams! So I used some bag clips to try to mark the sides and carefully tried to line them up. Still ended up pretty off center lmao, but I just evened out the other side the best I could. You can still tell but it's not that awful! I'm not exactly trying to hide that I did it myself lmao. I don't like the way the bottom of mine turned out though, I think my bottom string is just too awkwardly long so I might cut off the bottom layer and tie it more like you did here even though it was an accident haha. Thanks for this video!
I dig it it. I'm not really into cut up tees, but this this one I like. I like how you made it a wee bit longer in the back. Some of us with big butts like to keep it covered.

"...tupperware container which i have used in ritual sacrifices as you can see from the remnants of dried blood."
Oh my god, me too, girl.
Black totally is my happy color 🦇⚰️💀🥀🕷🕸
That technique has saved me multiple times by making shirts that didn't fit/were too big/shrunk into favorite pieces of my wardrobe! Well done tutorial!
Just got my Sisters of Mercy, Christian Death, and my Selofan T and then I get this notif.
*Convenience intensifies*
Perfect! Please-- Learn from my mistakes!
I'm diying my battle vest right now, but I'm totally gonna do this with the siouxsie shirt I bought after I finish. I wish more goth TH-camrs did diy videos. it's such a crucial part of the scene. 💚
Love your DIYs! Can't wait to see more of them. The safety pin blazer was my favourite

Great tutorial! I love doing this sort of thing to the oversized shirts whenever my husband and I volunteer for festivals.
Whoa! love how the back turned out! I may just try this. I have the same slogan on a sweatshirt :).
I've never tried this method on a sweatshirt before. That could be interesting!
Love the way you did this. And very well explained as well. I definitely appreciated you using an alternate color in the middle to see where you were. Too many Goth DIYs that I have seen, makes it impossible to follow. Well done and keep up the great work!
I want the shirt. Fabulous, as usual.

I can't wait to try this out on some ugly old shirts I have lying around. I'd love to have that shirt!
ugh i love the distressed look and the tshirt looks awesome. Now I got an idea for my next DIY-project :D it just looks so awesome *-* PS: I'd love to get that shirt, so I could use it as a real-life reference
Thank you for the tutorial! Have you ever considered sharing with us how you do your eye makeup? It's always flawless.
I loved what you did to that shirt! I have been looking at that shirt (because I love the saying) for years! Super awesome and I might try this out on one of my over sized shirts (if I can bring myself to cut up another shirt lol).

Love this so much. I just recently did something like this to a Harley shirt I picked up at a thrift store.
"It's the law, I promise." 😂 geez oh geez. Thanks for this tutorial, I recently got a shirt a size too big so I think I'm gonna shred it soon!
this is actually the most helpful diy tshirt vid ive seen. i would love the top

I want the shirt, but I also want more DIY videos, they're very helpful for me 😊
I would love to have this shirt💕 I'm usually pretty terrible at creating things but I think your video helped inspired me to start trying again until I get it right.
i would love the shirt, it looks amazing and the back vaguely reminds me of a spiderweb.
reagan annlee really does look like a spiderweb
I've been pinning lots of these for all my shirts that have lived their last and need to be reborn. great job!

I'm not even goth (I'm on the board of alternative and normal) and I have been binge watching your videos and I fell in love with this shirt design. But I am confused as to how to end the ladder effect?
I'd love this shirt, but I'm from the UK! Also, doesn't everyone have a sacrificial box lid?
The audio is great. Nice improvement!
I REALLY LIKE your teaching style! somehow you kept my attention the whole way through!
PS- ritualistic sacrifices tee-hee XD
i might be snagging this for a friend's birthday present
Oooh I want it!! That looks sick
I want the shirt!! it looks great ♡
This was brilliant! Thanks for that!
I think I'll do this to my The Crow shirt. Maybe it'll make it slightly less tight.
Wednesday vibes with those braids!
Naturally, the shirt I wanted to do this on, didn't have side seams! So I used some bag clips to try to mark the sides and carefully tried to line them up. Actually I figured out something to do! I snipped the sides and then tied it up so it was shorter yay
Perfect! These no-sew techniques are sometimes better than the ones where you do sew!
what did you sacrifice ?
I really wanna know what was actually on the Tupperware container
Thank you for this! can you do more mens fashion?
I've been wanting to do some for ages. I have no men to model for me :(
I dig it it. I'm not really into cut up tees, but this this one I like. I like how you made it a wee bit longer in the back. Some of us with big butts like to keep it covered.
the shirt came out real nice
What about if you want to do something for the sleeves? What are some options for that?
You could always do something like this: s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/36/a6/f5/36a6f542bc7d5d2f92bc5c84966b6555.jpg
You're so pretty omg aaaaa
