Its not transphobic to make classifications and reservations for cis-gendered women only. If there was a women's only scholarship for increasing STEM representation (due to years of socialization that young girls endure, discouraging them from stem), then it is not transphobic to exclude a transwoman, who have little to no overlap in terms of the effects of socialization with young girls. Although it didn’t start that way, Gendered sports is for safety, and to allow for real competition. It needs to stay that way. We can acknowledge that Trans women are women and still understand that their existence creates a complexity that all of our current institutions and systems are not equipped to handle

The spread of misinformation is really concerning and its not right for someone to try and be critical without even watching or taking in what they're talking about. It is really damaging and annoying. Hassan being like he doesn't care shows with how little he actually puts in to actually be thoughtful/progressive/etc. It would prob be better if people had different classes for sports/competitions based on height weight and strength maybe instead of making it a women in one and men in the other to go against each other cuz people really do come in all sorts of different shapes and sizes. And trans women when going through transitioning hormones tend to have muscles decrease and there's a whole biology of it so I wouldn't inherently say they would always be at the top but I get there's an issue of trying to find balance and really make it fair. It's a multifaceted thing I just wish people would be mindful.
