Very informative video . Great that your father could assist you with the chipper repair . He sounds very kind & knowledgeable. The 3 young men are also learning by helping . Your in-laws are correct ( once again) your ‘followers’ were wondering if/when another video would be posted . . Looking forward to seeing more . Happy chipping !!
A guy was wondering if another guy was going to eventually blip-bloop another video on his channel. Thankfully he did and even though his taste in music is not the best, the video was entertaining. Throwing his in-laws under the bus was a surprise. Perhaps they will give you a new utility knife for Christmas.
thanks for the video - i had the same exact thing happened to my tazz chipper muffler. i had to remove the wood chipper chute as well as loosen the gas tank to access that mf'ing screw in the back holding the muffler manifold on. i ended up hand-tightening that one. And the second screw on the left side right of the gas tank is almost impossible to re-screw given the obstruction of the newly attached muffler. just a cluster f. edit: the company was cool thought - sent me the broken parts right away.
I've heard from a few other people they've had the same issue. Must be a design flaw. But what should be a simple replacement was definitely a pain. Thanks for the comment!
Yup, my muffler fell off as well, and I had an issue with one of the bolts holding one of the blades on; I bought a replacement bolt & installed it, but I'm still having problems with the orientation of the blades...which are also rubbing against the outer housing. I'm sure you are aware of this by now, but these "issues" aren't just with your machine.... this model has multiple defects. At some point, when I have the time, I'm gonna be taking mine apart as well. I don't have a shop like your Dad, so it's gonna be on the back of my pickup truck....finger's crossed. I will not be purchasing from this manufacturer, or any of it's subsidiaries.... frustrated that I spent so much for something that ended up having so many problems.
Yes I agree relatively poor quality. Plus the chipping wasn’t as easy to do as I was hoping. I think we are going to go the route of getting rid of this and renting a commercial grade chipper once or twice a summer.
I can’t remember if I had already run out of gas or not but all you should have to do is turn the fuel shutoff valve to off then when you remove the fuel hose it will only spill what is what is in the hose and nothing from the tank. I hope that helps!
What kind of wrench did you use on that back screw I tore mine apart already and can’t get any wrenches that will tighten that screw because of the obstruction.

He knows his in-laws are good natured, and wouldn't be surprised if there is some revenge coming his way. ;) Thanks for Watching!

Do you have to drain the gas tank before removing it? And if so, how did you do that?
