My dad’s best friend had one when they were new. A deserved rep as a hairy-chested, rambunctious, handful. “A lot of bike.” I’ve got a Honda XR650L which is conceptually quite similar, only with 50% more capacity, that would absolutely wax a Victor in almost any contest or comparison, but is almost comically mild mannered.
The unit singles were great bikes. B25 was over tuned and had that iffy shell bearing ,but B44 and B50 were good. For something bad they have commanded a healthy price over the years.😀
Airbox cover is upside down, the holes go underneath, solid side goes on top to keep the rain out.
I had one of these, the kick start took no prisoners and even drew blood once. Fun bike to ride tho and very very torqy.
🙌 Same....

God these things vibrated!!!
Pour molten lead into the handlebar ends fixes that.
@@mjh5437 Back in the day you could buy lead handle bar plugs for them, didn't stop them from shaking themselves to bits though!!
Mains sound a bit,,,,,, explosive🤣
That sounds as if the primay chain is too tight and has worn out the main bearing
Yeah,doesn`t sound right yet.
😮
I have a box with one of those in it
you can give it me if you like🛠
Nice looking little bike 👍 Only problem is the gear leaver is on the wrong side 🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣
Correct side on the right

The worst bike BSA ever made.
What about the Dandy or the Ariel 3

I’ve got one I’ve run the wheels off of it it’s bulletproof I’ve had BSA singles since 1973 they are bulletproof
@@peterranson4365 I once had the misfortune of owning a 1967 BSA 441 Victor Special. It was the worst piece of junk imaginable!
Don't think so. Bought one new in1970 to replace a Gold Star Clubman which was the worst BSA I've ever owned. Now has two Victor Specials.
