I don't understand the lyrics but I do understand the way I feel whenever I listen to this. Lost my brother at the start of 2020 and this song reminds me of him each time. Thank you Aymos and Ami Faku for writing this song
Baie geluk! 👏👏👏🤝🤗🥂
It by say many did not see the new year, but mistake happen be happy that you are still alive, let's forgive each other and it goes deep don't let go of me and say when a chance is there let's forgive each other I guess Is a chorus , when the time is there you another me mistake happen let's forgive each other
Lost a good brother this August my birthday month. Thato Qwema R.I.P. Your humility and presence is missed daily in the office🙏. This great song provides healing and comfort, Danko Aymos. Definitely taking it one day at a time. And the heartbreak I experienced, with this song I still FATELA!.
The song is called "Fatela" by Aymos and Ami Faku, a South African pop duo. The song is sung in isiZulu, one of the official languages of South Africa. The title "Fatela" means "love" in South African slang. Here is a translation of the song lyrics in English: [Pre-Chorus: Aymos] Many people did not see this year I'm happy that you are alive All of mine, I wish you well I tell you that you are alive [Chorus: Aymos] The opportunity is there Tell him/her that you love him/her Please let's forgive each other Mistakes happen It happens, it happens It happens, it happens Please let's forgive each other Mistakes happen [Verse 3: Ami Faku] Your heart My friend It's a miracle I love it All these years You never hurt me My friend I promise you That I will also try To be a good friend You are my family, my partner Mine Don't leave me, don't leave me [Chorus: Ami Faku, Ami Faku & Aymos] The opportunity is there Tell him/her that you love him/her Please let's forgive each other Mistakes happen It happens, it happens It happens, it happens Please let's forgive each other Mistakes happen [Refrain: Aymos] It happens, it happens, it happens, it happens It happens, it happens, it happens, it happens [Chorus: Aymos, Ami Faku & Aymos] The opportunity is there Tell him/her that you love him/her Please let's forgive each other Mistakes happen It happens, it happens It happens, it happens Please let's forgive each other Mistakes happen.
Well, all in all it preaches forgiveness. Mistakes happen, but we must forgive each other. Then it talks about forgiveness in a relationship,"ngitshele uyanferstana which translates to tell me you love me" which in this context means tell me you love me despite all ,because mistakes happen.

Here for this beautiful piece, Aymos and Ami Faku have been dishing nothing but hits and its beautiful to see them come together and create something this beautiful
I can’t believe this song is over a year old today and I’d never heard it until my friend played and sang it. I played deaf while at it but I was really feeling the lockdrum and lyrics, I didn’t want to expose that I was backward with music 😂 so I didn't ask her, I Shazamed the damn song. The gag is, we went out the same day, well night, of 19/05/24. We grazed Kentucky’s dunked wings and wraps and grabbed a seat at the franchise. Later that night we fought over a misunderstanding at some joint we'd diverted our night to. - I called her names, boarded private transport back home, left her with a friend of hers and told her not to follow me back home. We'd fought countless times through our 6 year long distance friendship, at some point we stretched a year without talking, but this was our very first squabble in person. The following morning I turned this song up my airpods all through my working day thinking heavily about her, she’s a great singer btw so I could only hear her pitch in the song. I regretted what I’d said to her, my heart sank and by indulging on this song I realized “ithuba lisekhona, amaphutha ayenzeka, singaxolelana” (the chance is still there, mistakes happen, we can forgive each other). The song felt right and made for the smoke between us. By the end of my working day at about 17:58, I rang her and asked her to return home, and that my heart wouldn’t rest if she didn’t sleep next to me. By the time I double texted to say her plate was getting cold, an hour later, she was by my door step. I hugged her like a lost lover and whispered my apology in her ear, she apologized back and wept. I warmed her food and prepared her bathing water. She ate, bathed and we were merry. Man, life is too short. Abaningi ababonanga lonyaka, amaphutha ayenzeka and I’m glad we could both verstaan and settle our differences and hostilities.
Am always healed by thus song when ever i think of my mom thanks man, Rest in peace mom much love from your children❤ we still talk bout ya bout our moments we had
