i like the sounds, The F40phc-3's Horn is extremely accurate. Tip: If they do the HSP46, It uses the same horn as the F40!

I’ve heard a train honk in a tunnel and once in back bay, let me tell you, the reverb is INCREDIBLE!!! The sound of the horn bounces off of the walls and creates an echo chamber. You have to be in person to really experience it. I’m pretty disappointed that the horn isn’t influenced by it’s environment.

A torpedo is an explosive device that would be placed on the rails of the track a certain distance from a stopped train. When an approaching train runs over it, it explodes making a loud bang warning the engineer of that train to stop.
Having worked at South Station for years in the offices just above the platform I can say this DLC is really an accurate representation.

The station you call "Boston" or "Boston Terminal" is actually called "South Station," so called because the Charles River ( named after unhappy King Charles I) divides the city. The opposite side station is called "North Station."

@@BluGames There were plans to connect the two stations together directly with a tunnel but as of now to reach the other you go by subway
both north and south Station are on the same side of the Charles River. its just called that because one more south than the other
all of that is completely incorrect, refer to google maps.

I come up on the Greenbush line daily and have to tell you the train is the best way in .. after Weymouth Landing , there is only one stop in Quincy and it sails into S Station...Time is great.
They need to do the Haverhill to Boston line that would be cool one taken that one many times

“Torpedoes” are Railroad signal devices which are strapped to the railhead and used to warn engineers and crews of a potential stop ahead.

Torpedo is a small explosive that crews would set on tracks behind a disabled train. It would pop when a following train passed over them. Not used anymore
The engines are so cool! You should make the double decker cars for the MBTA too.
I've been able to get this MBTA F40PH-3C up to 100mph on the Stoughton run, but only when you're not stopping at Ruggles or Hyde Park.
I noticed that you took the 15:33 service to Stoughton, which is a pretty cool coincidence since I just recorded a video of me doing that same run.

Speed limit on MBTA commuter line is 79 miles per hour. The hundred and twenty miles per hour shown in the video is probably for Amtrak trains. Also it is called Hyde Park like hide. Absolutely gorgeous scenery. I'm definitely grabbing this game.

Always remember fra rules blow the horn twice before moving any locomotive or train forward and blow the horn three times before reversing. Looks like an awesome sim i had train sim 2016 and used to play the hell out of it until i found American truck in 2019 and haven't looked back........now i did and train sim is calling me again!

Torpedoes are to flag grade crossing in case the crossing arms are broken/inoperable

Call video, I could tell by looking at it it was sometime in the afternoon. God knows I’ve been there enough towns around that time of day to recognize it.
In tsw 2020 along the NEC you did have the csx Gp38_2 with the garbage trains
the track extends a little further and it is used for crew change, layover, and i think storage

Are you getting any weird brake applications with all the safety systems turned on?
I do.. Its because the speeds randomly change from 60 to 30 and the system stops you.
Nice video! Although I find it amusing that the DLC itself is lazy in that the passenger car they modeled has only 20 cars in active service, so irl it's impossible to have as many cars as shown in the game. the horn sounds a bit weak tho and not that accurate. also hyde park is indeed pronounced as "hide"

With the F40PH brake destroys after leaving Boston and I can't recreate air with the PCS lights coming back on with the dash every time I reset then recreate How do you stop this from happening?
I don't think what you are asking, the procedures for things to do with resetting brakes are kept between the equipment manufacturer and the operator. I have seen you before asking oddly specific questions before about train parts and nobody is going to explain it to you because it is not yours to mess around with.

I’m disappointed that they didn’t model the bilevel coaches. South station has a much higher concentration of those. Just looking at the trains I would guess it was North Station

I’m from MA and I’ve been on the commuter rail many times. Those blue seats exist. I’ve sat in them. It’s gotta be because of the coach model they included. I think it’s an older model than the other ones.
In other cars the seats look like the M3 from LIRR, and the newest ones they’re bright purple like the stripe on the outside.
Also...the blue seats SUCK. I can confirm they are not comfortable

Hey Blu, I know I’m super late, I have TSW2 and Boston Sprinter. I use a non gaming laptop with an AMD RADEON R2 I think. It’s really laggy. I am guessing I need a better computer to run it more smoothly. I will look up ways to not make it laggy.

The game’s recommended stopping places are totally wrong. In reality, MBTA trains stop with the locomotive and half of the first car past the platform, and with the locomotive and half of the last car before the platform.
Gotta be honest, I've always wanted train Sim world to come up with an Australian route. Either one from Sydney with the double decker trains or one from my home city of Melbourne which I know would give a lot of options. One of the main stations in the CBD is a terminal that has local commuter services and regional services and both local and regional services have several different locomotives,EMU's and DMU's.

Anybody else play this route and get the random application of brakes for absolutely no reason? Then you have to stop and reset everything and wait for the brakes to release?
I do. I know all about acknowledging the ATC with the alerter and placing the automatic brake into suppression.
But I feel as though this route is broken in so many places. They seriously need to fix this!
