Have been waiting with bated breath for this video. Can you do a comparison of the shades against their similar shades in her luxuriously lucent line? Thanks so much. Even if it’s just pics instead of a video. Would love to see them swatches next to each other. ❤
Same request here - I was going to get metropolis but I already have the dark berry luscent shade (not the Berlin one but the dark berry one) - that one already can be sheered out, and I could even put a gloss on it if I wanted it shinier - I didn’t want to get the same shade I have a red gloss of LE (can’t remember which name but it’s the warmer red one) so I didn’t get the red shade - I think it looks the same - so I’d be interested in some gloss comparisons too I did get the fig, bc I really want to try the formula - LE says it’s her most nourishing formula, and I fully trust that her formulation will be exactly wonderful like, she says - and I want the best nourished lips of all the lip balms! 🥰 - I do have so many brown/neutrals, but maybe her magic color system will be different - if anyone could do,it …
Yeah, I'll have to work on that next week. I wanted to get this video out quickly, so I didn't have time to compare swatches. Thanks for watching today, and keep an eye out for that community post or short. I haven't decided how I'm going to do it yet.
I can't speak to the Gloss Embrace shades. I only have 2. I don't love the applicator, so I haven't picked up all the ones that are out. I do have most of the Luxuriously Lucent shades (except for Dance Card and Rosy Shell) I'll work on getting swatches and comparisons out soon.
Sadly, I only have 2 of the gloss embrace shades. (Muse and Blush) I never got along with the shape of the applicator so I didn't fall in love with the product the same way others did. I liked the formula, but the applicator was a huge point of pain for me. : ( I'm happy to do comparisons of the Lucent formula later next week. Thanks for watching.
Being able to roll the product back down is super important. It’s going to be a rare day when I twist up the just-right amount of product. I enjoy the YSL candy glaze formula and packaging. I’m not even buying a product that people say you can’t twist down. These shades look very beautiful on you❤
I agree. I need to be able to roll a product up and down. I don't mind some of the advance only products, but they tend to be so much softer and more melty. I like that these are a bit more stable in the package. There's less mess on the applicator every time I use one. Thanks for watching today!
Thank you so much for showing us these new LE lippies so quickly! I ordered Epanoui, which is on the way, but from your swatches in the video I am wanting Sweet Fig and especially Metropolis also. I was afraid that Sweet Fig would be too warm and Metropolis would be too deep, but the sheerness of these makes me think that neither would be true. Painterly is one of my favorite lippies of all time, very much a mlbb shade on me and it seems like Metropolis would have a similar effect. My natural lip color is kind of a cool rosy mauve with a bit of purple to it. I want to get a couple of the new lip liners also, maybe 1C and 2C. I ordered the kitten mascara as well as a gift for my sis, I hope she likes it. I love to buy her mascaras to try. Her favorite right now is IT Cosmetics Superhero. Thanks again for the excellent video!
Thanks so much for making the time to watch today. I love these new lippies from LE. I was worried that Meet Cute would be too peach for my liking, but I'm really enjoying it. I love all the shades. I feel like they're sheer enough that you can see a lot of your natural lip color through them. Your natural lip color will shift the way these look on each person. It's almost like a personalized shade. I love Painterly. Sweet Fig is less mauve, and Metropolis is more berry. I really like all three shades, but they're very different one to another. I hope you enjoy the new lip liners and your sister likes the mascara. It's been my most reached for mascara since it arrived in March. I'm going to need a new one sometime soon. Thanks again for watching and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Metropolis is my favorite ❤️ Lisa puts out such universally wearable colors. Thanks for the video and I am so happy to hear you are in less pain. Enjoy the summer!
Thanks so much. I really love the universally flattering shades that Lisa creates. They're so easy to wear and I love the formula! Thanks for watching today. ❤️
Thank you for reviewing these so quickly! Fun to see creators in addition to Lisa giving their take. Have Sweet Fig and Red Curve arriving tomorrow- can’t wait. 💄
I’m so excited for these. I just HAD to place an order while watching her reveal video. Even though in no way do I need more lip products, but man…. She made them sound so good!!!! I ordered Sweet Fig and Épanoui (or something French like that. It’s the pink one with the cool story lol) but I cannot wait for them to arrive. Hearing you say they remind you of YSLs lippies makes me happy because those are some of my favorites. Also, you and I have very similar under tones so watching you swatch them really made me feel good about my color choices. Though it does make me crave the rest of the colors in the line even more. 😂 Anyway, thanks for posting!
I decided to post this as soon as they arrived. (even outside my regular scheduled times) I've been so excited to try this formula, I couldn't help myself. It's so good! I hope you'll like it. I love the shades in Sweet Fig and Épanoui so much. They're so easy to wear, and I feel like Meet Cute and Red Curve will be perfect for this summer when I need a hint of color (red) or for my lips to look hydrated and just a little glossy (meet cute) I love the YSL lippies so much, but I love these shades better than what I have from the YSL line.
Oh that Metropolis shade is calling my name! It reminds me of Clinique's Black Honey. I like the roll up/down kind of lip gloss/balm. The emollient factor is important too. Not too tacky or sticky, but smooth and hydrating. I will now be binge watching that LE playlist
I feel like there's more of a warm berry tone to Black Honey. It always pulls warmer on me that this Metropolis shade. I like how modern and cool toned Metropolis is, while still being so wearable. I really like the formula and the shades.
I just watched your other video - I'm so glad you're feeling better! As for this video, I'm so excited that you bought all five of these, I'm definitely going to pick one up for summer! Definitely need sweet fig, maybe epanoui.
@@thelipstickgal I remembered I had a master card gift card leftover from my birthday a few months ago and picked up epanoui and sweet fig for myself 😀 so excited!
I'm loving metropolis. I feel like sweet fig is a beautiful, easy to wear shade. See how you like the formula first. I really enjoy it, but it might not be for everyone.
Thanks for making the time to watch today. I hope you enjoy the shade you picked up. I really enjoy most of the products from the brand. There are a few items that I just don't enjoy, but on the most part, I'm a huge fan of the brand. These Baume Embrace lipsticks are a wonderful addition to the line.
Yes. I want glossy balms with good pigment for summer😊. I recently purchased a balm from Ilia in Memoir..lovely! Love the deepest shad of the Eldridge balm.
These are lovely, with such a comfortable and moisturizing feel on the lips. I haven't tried an Ilia lip product in years. I used to go through the shade Arabian Knights all the time. I miss having that shade in my collection. I wish they still made that formula and shade.
I really like all the shades, but I'm head over heels for Épanoui and Sweet Fig. I will get into my sheer red lipstick phase eventually, but I've been loving desaturated nude and rose tones in the last few months. I wore Metropolis all day yesterday and loved it! These shades are so good!
You put me onto the YSL's, which is currently one of two only lips i am travrlling with. Love! So now i may be looking at new member of this pared down family🎉thnx for your always insightful reviews.
Thanks so much for trusting my reviews. I really like these shades. I feel like these nuanced shades are exactly what I'm looking for. Sometimes I'll get a YSL Loveshine/Rouge Volupte Shine lipstick and it's not an ideal color on me. It's ok, but not smashing. I feel like all 5 of these are smashing on, and they work for a wide variety of skin tones. I love that!
Eeek, I’ve been dying to hear your thoughts on these! I didn’t order any - YET - but these sure look even more beautiful than I thought they would - so gorgeous on you!
I'm so excited to have these. I LOVE this type of product. The Red Curve shade might actually be my perfect glossy summer red. I've been looking for a replacement for the old/discontinuted Lipstick Queen shade in Medieval. It's much cooler than this, but has that same lovely, glossy no fuss formula. I LOVE these! Thanks for watching.
I was hesitant about these new lip baumes, but after watching your video, I just might be more tempted...especially after hearing your feelings about the formulas. Like you I have enjoyed using her Luxurious Lucent formula for the summer months. But...now...I'm...might...be... in.
I wish the price was a bit lower for this product. $34 is a lot for a glossy balm with a hint of color. I also wish that for that $34 price point we'd still get magnetic packaging. I wonder if she'll release other formulas in snap closure instead of magnetic closure. I do like the formula. They wear well, but aren't nearly as pigmented as the Lucents. These are glossier, and a bit more plush on the lips while the Lucents are more pigmented while still being hydrating. If you've ever tried the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine/LoveShine formula, I feel they're very similar in texture and wear.
Thanks so much. I'm curious about what you think of these. I was worried the peach one would be too beige/peach, but it's actually so pretty. I think I'll use it more than I was expecting to.
I love a sheer shiny lipstick & and might love all these shades! If you were ever interested I would so appreciate your comparison of luxury lip products to drugstore versions like Revlon glass shine & L'oreal balm like lipsticks, especially shade comparisons.
I don't have many from the drugstore. I do love the Revlon Glass Shine formula, but didn't ever like the L'Oreal Glow Paradise Balm formula. They smelled funny and had a strange range of shades. I can't find the original balms or plumping balms from L'Oreal any more. I liked those formulas better, but the Glow Paradise balms were such a disappointment for me.
Oh wow, I'm even more excited to receive mine now that I've seen you try them on! They look lovely on you. I can't wait to wear these all summer!! I was a little worried about how the Metropolis shade would look on me, but it looks great on you so I'm happy I ordered it. Thanks for the review :)
I really love how edgy and cool toned the Metropolis shade is. I want more colors of this formula. It's the ultimate easy lip product. It doesn't last forever, but what shiny, glossy, sheer lipstick does? I have already made a good dent in Épanoui and Sweet Fig!
Sweet fig is absolutely up my alley. They are all very pretty. I am always thinking glossy and sheer for summer. I have several of the Tarte. Have a wonderful weekend ❌️ ⭕️
The Tarte is much softer and tends to find my lip lines and travel. These don't seem to do that. I really like how easily I can reapply these shades because I don't need a mirror. I just wish they weren't $34 each. That's very pricy for the type of product it is.
A little bit, but nothing a lip liner with the darker shades can't handle. I don't need a lip liner with meet cute, épanoui, or sweet fig. I wore metropolis all day yesterday without a liner and I noticed a little bit of color outside the lip line, but it look like a slightly blurry edge, and not centimeters of color feathering out from my lip line.
Thanks for this video! They all look so beautiful on you. Epanoui has my heart but honestly Metropolis looks so edgy and interesting. It looks so different in every photo I see. Have you tried the Beyond Jelly Lipsticks from Nabla? They're also sheer and hydrating, but a bit stiffer formula than a lot of the gloss stick products that have come out. I wonder how they compare to the Lisa Eldridge.
Thanks for making the time to watch. I don't have any of the Nabla Beyond Jelly lipsticks, but I've been curious about them since they launched last year. I can't try everything. I'd be more likely to try Nabla if I could find the shades that interest me in stock at Ulta. I don't want to have to order from the Nabla website. I love throwing shades into my cart when I'm already placing an order. I love the Metropolis shade too! I like how sheer and cool toned it is. I love how these feel on the lips, and Épanoui and Sweet Fig are such beautiful easy shades to wear.
@thelipstickgal yes it took me forever to get my hands on Lunar because it was out of stock for so long 😑 i think the LE ones look a little more juicy than the Nabla, but I think the concept is similar. I'm not a huge fan of the goopy gloss sticks, so hearing that the LE Baums aren't so globby makes them even more enticing.
The darker shades (Red Curve and Metropolis) end up visibly outside my lip line after a few hours. I'll wear them with a lip liner to maintain a crisper edge. I don't feel like I need that with the other 3 shades. They're close enough to the shade of my natural lips that if they venture outside my lip line, you can't really tell. They're very hydrating, but not goopy at all. (in my opinion)
These look great - are they similar to the YSL? I’d be curious if you compared the shades to other LE lipsticks. Can’t wait to hear how you like these over the month.
I wanted to get this video out sooner than later, so I didn't make the time to swatch these shades against other ones from the brand. I'll work on doing that next week. Thanks so much for watching. I feel like these are similar in formula and feel to the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine/LoveShine lipsticks. The Candy Glaze is more opaque and much meltier.
I’m planning to buy Red Curve. Can’t wait to try them on but I’d just ordered some products just before she released the lip balms. At the moment I can’t stop wearing the luxury lucents, I love nurturing formulas, and the feeling of moisture on my lips. Velvets are amazing but too dry on me.
They are. I really like them, but they're very similar in feel and texture to the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine/new LoveShine formulas. Sheer, glossy, nourishing, but not too much.
I want glossy, sheer and hydrating! Love my YSL..these are tempting but depends on price point and if I can find a discount!! Ty!! Hope you are well!🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
Hi there. Always watching. Glad you are doing better. Can't believe I'm 1st. 😊😊😊 ok 2nd. A little slow to type. I got Merits newest lipstick shade in Ginger. I really like it. I'm awaiting a Beauty Pie order with lipstick that you talked about yesterday, Coral Crush. It looked beautiful on you. I don't have anything by Lisa Eldridge. I'm tempted by the red one. Hmm. How would you compare these balms to Honest Beauty balm Blood Orange which I know you like. Does Lisa's give more color payoff? Of course, I would hope so based on the price point. Let me know your thoughts.
I was so excited to try these. I've been wearing them for quite a while, and they feel so good on the lips. They're not terribly long lasting, but will stay on for about 2.5 hours if you're not eating or drinking. Once you start snacking or hydrating, all bets are off.
I feel like the ones from Honest are a bit firmer, and not as pigmented as Red Curve from LE. I will let you know that Red Curve ends up outside my lip line. I don't notice it with the lighter shades, but the red and the blackberry ones need a liner on my lips or it gets really hazy around the lip line. I don't find that Blood Orange looks messy after all day wear, and it lasts a bit longer on the lips. The LE Baumes get reapplied a lot throughout the day. I like that they don't require a mirror, but I do check the status of my lips with the darkest 2 shades a few times a day. That lip liner keeps things tidy. The darker ones are a bit more high maintenance, but I love the shades so much, I'm willing to do that. I hope you like Coral Smash. I love the shade, and have been using it for lips and cheeks on a low makeup day.
One thing I've noticed is that red curve and metropolis are darker than the rest, and look best with a liner. I wore red curve all day yesterday without a liner, and it's was noticably fuzzy around my lip line. Too fuzzy for my taste, so I'll be wearing a liner with the darkest 2 shades from now on. The rest are lovely and don't have the same visible issue. It's probably because they're not as pigmented as the deeper shades. I love how they feel on, but I require a liner with the deeper shades.
I got sweet fig & metropolis, decided to skip meet cute because i wasn’t sure it would be too light and those shades sometimes go orange on me. I kinda think i like these more than the Lucents 😮 some of those can be patchy but i love meet me in Berlin. These definitely remind me of the loveshine or candy glow Ps - i did find them to apply better on the lips, the hand swatches are sheerer and even metropolis i was unsure of til i wore it. I think that’s the color i keep going for lately like. Loveshine scenic brown, candy glow brown nude and dior mahogany.
I wore metropolis all day yesterday and loved it! I love how these are really sheer and let your natural lip shine through. I love the formulas you mentioned from other brands, but I have different shades. They're so good. I love this type of formula!
Thank you for this very helpful review! I have ordered Metropolis to give the formula a try. I love Lisa's glosses and supposedly I will love the (very expensive) lip balms as well 😂 I consider Red Curve or Atomic Cherry in the Lucent formula for summer, it really depends how much I like this new baume. Pricewise the Lucent would be clever yet tinted lip balms are so very easy to use ...
I find that Atomic Cherry pull more coral on me where Red Curve is a bright, warm red. I hope you love Metropolis. I wore it all day yesterday and really enjoyed it. It's so comfortable and I didn't find that it went everywhere. It stays in place fairly well.
@@thelipstickgalthank you for the descriptions of the shades!received Metropolis and I like it very much. It is actually quite long lasting so I might add Red Curve to my next order as this stick is very easy to use and as noirishing as I hoped for it to be.
Do yours have any sort of odor? I got one in the shade epanoui and it smelled really old and stale with a hint of vanilla at the end, but I’m not sure if they all smell like that or if I got a bad one.
@@TheJoker718 mine don't smell at all. I have heard mention of a vanilla scent, but I don't smell that at all. (Maybe your nose is better then mine) 🤷♀️ I'd contact customer service and ask about getting a replacement.
I don't mind a melty lipstick, but those tend to be sticky or find all my fine lines. These don't seem to do either. I really like the feel on the mouth, as well as the beautiful shades. Thanks for watching.
Love this video! Would you say the texture of these is thick and cushiony like the Candy Glaze, or thinner and more oily like the Rouge Volupte formula?
It's more like the rouge volupté shine. It's not as instantly melty as the candy glaze, and not as heavy on the lips. I love both formulas but I really like the rouge volupté formula.
They all look great on you! I’m skipping these unfortunatly. Although Epanoui is calling me, I had some kind of allergic reaction to the glosses and these have similar ingredients. I’m curious though of how Epanoui compares to Rose Official, which is the one currently at the top of my LE wishlist.
I'll either post a phot on my community tab with comparisons, or make a short showing how these balms compare to the lucents that I already have. Look for that later this week. I'm sorry that you're allergic to the ingredients. I really love this formula, and the shades.
The peachy tone looks similar to Kitten Mischief. I may order this one when I finish KM. For a lip balm it is very expensive for me, I ask myself how long would one of these last... i tend to finish lip balms in 3-6 months depending of the consistency (nabla, romand,...) I may order one to try but I am not very excited about this launch to be honest. I am still waiting for the blushes to come back and it is being very long 🙃
I miss the blushes too. I'm wearing Dante's Dream in today's video, but mine must have gotten really dried out. My tube split open, so I put all my blushes in glass jars or metal pots. I know they're exposed to more air that way, but I'm still anxiously waiting the re-release of the blush formula. These are lovely, but expensive for a tinted balm. I love the formula, but I know that not everyone will be excited about paying luxe prices for something that could easily be used up in a few months. Especially if it becomes your go-to shade or formula. I think these are going to be exactly what I'm looking for this summer. I like how they feel and wear. I haven't tried the Nabla ones, but I feel like there's more pigment and a thicker, plushy feel to the Romand Melting Glasting Balms. The Romand ones are a much easier price point. I feel like Meet Cute (the peach one) is less warm/coral than Kitten Mischeif. I don't know, but I'll have comparison swatches up next week. Thanks so much for watching, and have a wonderful weekend.
I am so tempted! I would love to find a new tinted balm formula that really feels hydrating and isn’t too goopy. Do you think there is a comparable drug store option or should I take the plunge?
Before you take the plunge, try the Ro&and Glasting Melting Balms. They're about $14 each and will roll up and down, aren't too melty, and have a wide range of shades. They tend to have more pigment than these, but they're the first "more affordable" option that I can think of. They're a K-Beauty product, so the best place to order is from Yesstyle, Stylevana or another online Korean retailer. You can find them on Amazon, but there's a lot of fake beauty products on Amazon. I try not to purchase them there unless there's a verified retailer selling them through the Amazon store.
The ones from Honest Beauty are not goopy and have a lovely sheer tint. Check out State of Kait here on YT. She's got lots of reviews and swatches on the honest beauty tints.
I am so happy she came out with this type of formula as her lipglosses are not my favourite, I find the application of lipglosses in general just not as pleasant because of he type of applicators. I am waiting for Metropolis and Epanouie to arrive, meanwhile lusting after Sweet Fig. Love your L.E. reviews, seriously the best out of all the L.E. reviews online.
You are the first person to have the same opinion as I do about the Gloss Embrace applicator. I don't like it. I like the gloss formula, but I hate interacting with the applicator. Every time I use one, I end up getting gloss outside where I want it. I just don't reach for them anymore, and I don't expect to be picking up any of the other shades. I love this Baume Embrace formula. Everything that I liked about the gloss formula, but in stick form! They're so comfortable. I hope you enjoy Épanoui and Metropolis. Wait to see how you like them before you decide to jump in on all the rest. Thanks so much for the compliment on the LE videos. I LOVE most of the products from the brand, and I'm always super excited when they have a new release!
@@thelipstickgal oh yes, same here, so happy about the stick form :) and I’m not sure why I haven’t seen people mention this too much, but I’m unable to empty the lipglosses. It’s something about the container. the lipgloss packaging still looks like as if it was full after one year, because it’s on the sides of the container I believe, so it feels like they are empty because I cannot get more out with the doe foot neither with a lip brush. Very strange…such a waste of product. I also won’t be buying more of the lipglosses sadly. But I love the lipsticks and the balms :) Always happy to watch your L.E. Reviews, they help me a lot before making a purchase :) thank you for making these videos!
There's 2.8 grams in each bullet and they're $34. The other formulas of Lisa's lipsticks each have 3.5 grams and are $36. It's not quite a gram less than the lipsticks, but you'll burn through these faster because they're so melty. For reference, a YSL Loveshine/Rouge Volupte Shine is $45 and has 3.2 grams of product. I feel like the LE and the YSL are very similar in texture and formula.
Yep! I love balms … Sweet Fig would’ve been my choice!!! It looks very similar to the bare minerals dewy balm I just got (friendship) but more pigment I think u can build them up but they just go away how do these last? Thanks for posting them so fast! Lol 🤍🤍🤍
These last for about 2.5 hours if I'm not eating or drinking a beverage. Once I start snacking or hydrating, they wear off very quickly. I love that I don't need a mirror to apply any of the shades. They're so comfy too!
Hi!! Thanks for your review. Could you compare the formula with YSL Loveshine (if you have it, that is)?? I love the Epanoui shade from LE but I just bought 203 from YSL Loveshine and they look very similar. I dont know what to do. I would like to try the LE for sure but I dont like dark shades in that type of formula and neither very light shades (such as meet cute). BTW, I am so happy that you feel better of your cronic pain. 😘
Thanks so much for the kind words about my chronic pain. I appreciate it. I only have 201 and 202 in the Loveshine formula. I can't compare shades for you, but the Loveshine/Rouge Volupte formulas are very similar to this formula from LE. For reference, there's 3.2 grams in a YSL Loveshine for $45 and there's 2.8 grams in the LE for $34. The YSL is slightly more expensive per ounce. $14 per ounce compared to $12 per ounce for the LE Baume Embrace. YSL has more shades, but I expect Lisa to extend this line of products as well over time. I prefer the shades from LE over the YSL ones, but I haven't tried all the LoveShine or Rouge Volupte Shine shades. I have 5 or 6 of the old Rouge Volupte Shine, and 2 of the new LoveShine.
@@thelipstickgalWow!! Thanks a lot for your breaking down the cost-value. I think I might wait for more shades of LE. I definitely would love to try her formula. 😘
@@MsRorube I love the formula of the LE and the YSL. I didn't know the difference in price until googling it for this comment. It's an interesting point of reference.
I love the idea of these. I’m curious if they stay looking glossy as they wear. I find that the luxuriously lucent lipsticks lose their shine as I wear them, although the color lasts pretty well. I am hoping these stay glossy. 🤞
They seem to stay glossy on me, but I do reapply every 2 hours. Once I lose the extremely comfortable slip these have on the mouth, I pull one out and reapply. They're not as shiny as they start out, but they still look good.
I don't need liner, but sometimes I pair one with the deeper shades. Not always, but sometimes. I don't find that there's much feathering outside of my lip line, but that's me. 🤷♀️
I’m staring at three in my cart right now… ahhh! 😱 …The only glossy lippy I have is About Face’s in Pink Pina-it’s nice, but not something I constantly reach for.
I like the AB Cherry Pick lip balms, but I only have Kiwi Fuzz. It's so much more pigmented than these are. Lisa's website ships for free, so try one and see if it's worth it for you to pick up more than one.
@@thelipstickgal I like that these are more sheer, for sure! Just deciding which one… Edit: OK! Épanoui, pour moi, Émilie-hehe. Apropos for many reasons.
I have the shades meet cute and epanoui. I thought epanoui would be my favorite but surprised that I love the peachy rosy nude shade better. I love almost everything about them. But I am disappointed about the flavour that is in there... It reminds me of that classic lipstick send I reminds me of my grandmothers lipstick drawer, when I was a little girl. Because I am sensitive to send it bothers me. But I think the formula and colors are again so good that I will wear these. But I probably do not repurchase these,... I think I would lightly choose a shade of the luxuriously lucent lipsticks that is new to me over this baume.
I didn't notice a scent. Maybe I should give them a nother whiff. Interesting. I feel like this formula is either going to be right up someone's alley, or it's going to be a complete miss. These are the types of formulas that I love. I'm so glad that I got these. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Meet Cute. I wasn't sure I was going to like the peach leaning shade. It's so good! I do love Epanoui. It's such a pretty, rose tone. Thanks so much for watching and sharing your experience.
Ooh, I think a take on other brands tbh bare minerals etc and not quite pulling it off. More a lip tint and depending on the natural pigments in your own lips, more of a sheen apart from the red. No, not impressed. Metropolis I thought I'd gravitate towards but not as good as black honey by clinique imo. Especially now clinique have brought out different variations but limited edition sadly.
I would love more shades in this formula. I know it's not for every one. I like that Metropolis isn't like Black Honey. It's edgier and less warm toned. There's more of a berry undertone in Black Honey. I love that shade, but I've worn it for decades. I'm so glad to have something that's slightly more modern, and more hydrating on the lips. I haven't tried the Bare Minerals glossy lip balms, but I've heard good things. Thanks so much for making the time to watch today. I appreciate it.
Just got my two shades and honestly, I feel a bit underwhelmed. Just had them now for one day at work, so I need to keep testing them, but a) they are ok (not terribly) hyadrating but especially b) they are very short lasting. To see some colour and hydration I had to keep reapplying and at that price tag, honestly .... I really wanted to love them but so far I'm a bit disappointed.
Yes, I understand. I've been surprised at how frequently I need to reapply. I get about 2 - 2.5 hours of hydration. If I want to have a glossy appearance, I need to reapply more frequently. I'm going to tear through these. I've also noticed that Red Curve and Metropolis require a liner when I wear them or they start to feather outside and look fuzzy. I don't notice it with the lighter shades, but I'm bummed at how they wear. 🤷♀️
I just wish I knew if they would go into lip lines. Lisa did not address the issue of lip lines and women who are 50+ in her video about these so I am disappointed and I do not trust that I could buy these. I am waiting for someone like me who has lines at the corners of their mouths. I can't wear the YSL ones because of that. I still love her Luxuriously Lucent line the best.
I haven't had noticeable feathering with the lighter shades. For good measure, I wear a lip liner with Red Curve and Metropolis. I'll have a full on review in a few weeks, so check back for that. I'll make sure to let you know if I've had problems with the product going place.
Your website is so annoying to use. I’m on a new iPhone yet it won’t let me zoom in or make your photos bigger so the swatch images are impossible to see. I hope you redesign it soon.
@@thelipstickgal my apologies. I have diabetes and I’m losing feeling in the finger tips. It’s tough to text accurately. My apologies. I was commenting on the LE clip I watched right after yours.
It's very sheer. I found myself reapplying every 2.5 hours because it didn't feel as plush by that point. It wasn't completely gone, but I love the feeling of these freshly applied to the lips. I keep pulling them out at that 2.5 hour mark to slather on more. I need to see how long they go on their own until they're gone or need to be reapplied for color. They don't last through snacking/meals or beverages. I loose a lot of the product to the rim of my mug or the edge of my glass. I'll have to report back once I've fully put them through their paces.
Have been waiting with bated breath for this video. Can you do a comparison of the shades against their similar shades in her luxuriously lucent line? Thanks so much. Even if it’s just pics instead of a video. Would love to see them swatches next to each other. ❤
Same! AND curious about baume colors vs gloss embrace colors vs luxuriously lucent colors!!!
Same request here - I was going to get metropolis but I already have the dark berry luscent shade (not the Berlin one but the dark berry one) - that one already can be sheered out, and I could even put a gloss on it if I wanted it shinier - I didn’t want to get the same shade
I have a red gloss of LE (can’t remember which name but it’s the warmer red one) so I didn’t get the red shade - I think it looks the same - so I’d be interested in some gloss comparisons too
I did get the fig, bc I really want to try the formula - LE says it’s her most nourishing formula, and I fully trust that her formulation will be exactly wonderful like, she says - and I want the best nourished lips of all the lip balms!
I'm happy to do comparisons of the Lucent formula later next week.
I hope you'll enjoy them as much as I do! I've been reaching for them non stop since they arrived!
Anyway, thanks for posting!
Based on your video, I ordered Epanoui, Metropolis and Sweet Fig. I cannot wait to receive them! Thank you for the helpful video!
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. They're all I've been wearing since they arrived last week!
Oh no I think I see my money waving goodbye! These look awesome.
I really like these. I love the shades, and they're amazingly comfortable on.
😂😂😂😂
I just watched your other video - I'm so glad you're feeling better! As for this video, I'm so excited that you bought all five of these, I'm definitely going to pick one up for summer! Definitely need sweet fig, maybe epanoui.
I'm so glad I picked up all 5, and that they're so universally flattering. I really like this new formula, and these shades are amazing!
@@thelipstickgal I remembered I had a master card gift card leftover from my birthday a few months ago and picked up epanoui and sweet fig for myself 😀 so excited!
@@laurenw3858 I hope you love them. They're all I've been using the last few days.
Oh, now I regret not buying Sweet Fig - I was afraid it would lean to warm! I ordered Metropolis and looking forward to use it.
I'm loving metropolis. I feel like sweet fig is a beautiful, easy to wear shade. See how you like the formula first. I really enjoy it, but it might not be for everyone.
New to your channel- I am so happy to hear this review- I ordered 1 and it has not arrived just yet. I am now interested in several more colors!
Ugh, I was waiting for you to try these on for me... I knew red curve was going to be #1, I think I need meet cute and metropolis. 😅
Yea!!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
These are gorgeous, I got mine today. I purchased all except the peach one. They look amazing on you💄
Thanks so much.
@@thelipstickgal It is a bit higher priced but for the comfort and the pigment is is very nice. ❌️⭕️
I picked up 2 and 2 of the newer lip liners. They look beautiful on you, thanks for the video😊
I hope you enjoy your new lip products, I think they're fantastic. I'm so excited to have them. I really like the lip liners too. Thanks for watching.
Great video dear Lipstick Gal. But I want to know if this formula eventually bleeds past your natural lip line. Can you please update me?
At the moment I can’t stop wearing the luxury lucents, I love nurturing formulas,
and the feeling of moisture on my lips. Velvets are amazing but too dry on me.
If you can't wear the velvets, you'd love the baumes. I'm really enjoying the texture and moisture they provide.
These look so pretty and comfy. :)
Ty!! Hope you are well!🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
When these come to Space NK, watch for their next 20% off sale. They have one occasionally. Thanks for watching.
Looks stunning ❤❤❤
Thanks so much. I really like these.
I added more comments. Hope you see it.😊😊
I feel like the ones from Honest are a bit firmer, and not as pigmented as Red Curve from LE.
I literally waited for your opinion on these 1st.
These definitely remind me of the loveshine or candy glow
Ps - i did find them to apply better on the lips, the hand swatches are sheerer and even metropolis i was unsure of til i wore it.
I love Lisa's glosses and supposedly I will love the (very expensive) lip balms as well 😂
I consider Red Curve or Atomic Cherry in the Lucent formula for summer, it really depends how much I like this new baume.
Thank you so much for this video.❤
You are so welcome!
Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching.
(Maybe your nose is better then mine) 🤷♀️
I'd contact customer service and ask about getting a replacement.
I have exactly the same issue with mine - it actually smells rancid :(
@@friendoffreud I'm sorry to hear yours smalls rancid. Have you reached out to customer service?
I will get Epanoui and sweet fig for sure.I do agree with all you said about LE
I don't like lipstick that melted at all.
@@thelipstickgal you too thank you! Thanks for the comparison
@@thelipstickgal ohh that’s wonderful to know! I have two of them so I should be all set ☺️
The ones from Honest Beauty are not goopy and have a lovely sheer tint. Check out State of Kait here on YT. She's got lots of reviews and swatches on the honest beauty tints.
@@thelipstickgal I love her content! She does wonderful deep dives and is brutally honest in the best way. Appreciate both of you immensely!
I ordered epanui and sweet fig already
Waiting for delivery 😂
I hope you love them. I love this type of formula, but feel like it's different compared to other formula out there.
This is exactly my type of formula 😊
Was super curious about these your videos came great time how much product is in these there one colour I’m definitely interested in
There's 2.8 grams in each bullet and they're $34.
Thank you so much for letting me know I’ve picked up two colours the more nude pink ones for my fair skin
this red is excellent on you
Thanks, I love a good warm red.
@@thelipstickgal nice!!!
I have Red Curve on order ❤
I hope you love it! It's such a pretty shade.
Hi have you done any kind of review for tinted spf lip balm/lip sticks?
No, I don't have any SPF lip balms. I'm planning on doing a lip gloss stick ranking in a few weeks.
@@thelipstickgal thank you!
Do you think you need liner with these
I don't need liner, but sometimes I pair one with the deeper shades.
@@DolceSuono9 It's a stunning shade, I hope you love it!
I don't have a website. Are you taking about the TH-cam channel home page?
@@thelipstickgal sorry RMS Wedsite. I’m on my phone.
Sorry geeze I can’t get spelling right. The Lisa Eldridge website
Oh, I'm sorry.
@@thelipstickgal my apologies. I have diabetes and I’m losing feeling in the finger tips. It’s tough to text accurately. My apologies. I was commenting on the LE clip I watched right after yours.
I need to see a wear test. If it can't stay put 4 hours I'm not interested.
@@thelipstickgal I'm curious to know. I guess one could layer them on top of a lip stain.
