If it looks like a crook, sounds like a crook, dresses like a crook, then guess what - it is a crook, trained in the art of interview by Prince Andrew & David Cameron - he can now continue his day job as a Stan Laurel lookalike
The interviewers have obviously already drawn their conclusion from the very insightful articles in the financial times. Hooray, the truth has been established and the people have been avenged. Long live democracy governed by highly competent ideologues. Ps: no sarcasm here...
Typical british BS “enquiries” - addressing people being questioned about serious matters by their first names - “Lex”, “David” etc is unprofessional and stinks of pre determined conclusions. These are sham proceedings and serve no serious purpose. Interviewers who are poorly prepared and know little about business doesn’t help either.
It’s probably the first time I’ve heard someone in a select committee hearing that’s been very transparent. Yes, his company collapsed, but it sounds like he knew his business and where it went wrong. Sometimes things fail with many losers, but the actual failure is not down to negligence just a mistake. What stinks in this, like most things these days, is the fact that government or ex-government officials are making millions by using their current or former status - and that is what needs investigating.

How does anyone trust their finances with a guy who looks like Howdy Doody?
The guy's got no upper lip. Reminds me of the MASH character - Frank Burns.
