First thing, quit doing it like grandpa. Second, cut out the the six middlemen. Get it to the consumer yourself, double profitablity. Use more hands-on practices instead of throwing them out in pasture until grazed down
And why would you buy and take care of a bull when you could buy semen for $5ish per straw? This video literally taught you zero. They talked in circles and didn’t provide any specifics.
Probably because that is a labor intensive process that cost more than just the cost per straw and you still need to cover with a bull if you are a commercial producer with any size-able herd because because artificial insemination is very rarely at 100% honestly 60 to 70% is a good rate which you want 100% If you were going to take a Cow through the winter or you will be caulling a third of your herd per year, which isn’t cost-effective either. So, unless you have 1 to 3 cows you are going to half to maintain a bull or several bulls for your cowherd anyway.
Moderate frame grass efficient cows are the way to go
How many cattle do you own
@@gloriadeipatre I once had fourteen but I sold them. I'm going to start over.
Nice report 👌thanks brother from Miami County Ohio farm lands there's still hay stacked everywhere
Haven’t seen any cow calf ranches make a profit in literally three years. And I live in Kansas by the way.
