I love how this relates to startups. Other videos of people collecting $1k+ per week can be a bummer, but this was inspiring. I’m a small vendor with only 9 bulk locations and my collections are $100 or less per month so far, but I’m confident that it will grow big enough to live comfortably on.
If you are losing sales, see if you can add a coloured sign behind the machines. A simple coloured sign with GUMBALLS 25c & an Arrow - costs zilch, never needs batteries & for $2 has potential for more sales.
I still run skittles at pretty much every location. Keep it up! I would love to do youtube and i may one day but my route is time consuming enough as it is right now. I only have bulk machines and have almost 170 locations. Still looking to grow to more the better honestly. Great videos though you are doing great.
170 locations!! Wow that is alot! I would love to have that many locations. You should definitely consider youtube, if its something you are interested in. Its alot of fun, but also alot of work. But im sure you have a lot of knowledge to share!
I am actually fairly new at it i bought an existing route from someone. Im trying to grow it and fix it from the previous owner. I may do youtube one day I would love to do it for work and quit my full time job now 🤘
one question how are you making profits if it sells for almost the same as if you are buying your own candy off the store? unless you are getting cheap deals
My Skittles sales almost halted as well, the day they made that statement was the day I collected for the month before. I made $7.75, I went again this week for a 3 week collection and only made $0.50. However, I have a coin shooter with Skittles that is doing quite well, I guess because of the prize that the patrons are promised if they win.
For your car wash locations, what kind of car washes are they? All the car washes in my town are the drive through ones where you never leave your car or the ones that are like a brick canopy where you hand wash it yourself but the entire building is an outside only kind of thing. Can’t imagine either of those would be good for a gumball machine
Awesome collection and video as always! I really want to try to at least get to 1 video every 2 weeks if not every week to have some consistency. I recorded 4 locations today and am considering putting the 3 I'm doing tomorrow in the same video. You think I should do that or make 2 separate videos to have more uploads? Also, I saw a rogue coin detector in that JC Penny machine, make sure you have all the coin detectors in that mech!
Ive actually considered splitting up my video into several individual ones, instead of 1 long one. Just to give more content. But i like the apeal of one long video, i think its unique and idk anyone else doing it . If youre wanting to do more consistent uploads, i think you should consider splitting them up. It will give you more content, and help you upload more consistent. Also good eye on the coin detector! I forgot to mention it in the video, but i did notice it and i fixed it on location! Thanks for looking out :)
Hey good Job with footage you can go to sam club and switch out with Mike and ike I had to due to skittles it is cheaper then skittles since they raised the price also candymachines had 5lbs for 14 I order 20lbs your still doing alright keep up the good filming we are rooting for ya
I am going to be a new entrepreneur selling gum balls can you give me on when you Service your machines and when you switch out the gumballs the new ones and any other tips you could give me
Maybe i can make a video on this and give you a more i. Depth answer. But to start id check your machines once a month. Unless they are super busy locations, you can get away with once a month and even once every 2 months. You just have to see how it does. Also consider starting out at .50 cent vends. Inflation is going up and many vendors are raising prices. Regular dubble bubble gumballs are getting harder to find and whe. You do they can be a little more expensive than they were. Considering using nerds gumballs from candymachines.com
I have a question, Ok so im doing the math on m&m peanuts, and if my math is correct it seems like m&m peanuts are not profitable at all unless you completely cutback a huge amount from the customer for example 7 m&m peanuts is about 18g. So, 61 oz of m&m peanuts cost 18.99, 610z =1757g/18g= 97 vends per 61oz bag. so 97*0.25=$24.25 total revenue. 24.25-18.99= 5.26 gross profit so how is this profitable? I'm asking because I want to know if you have a different equation or if I'm doing something wrong? are you giving them the people less than 7 m&m peanut (18g) ? I'm asking because I don't want to put myself out of business, please respond, I want to make sure I'm fair with the people buying from my machine but also making a good profit
First thing i would say is dont vend at .25 cents. I know my videos i still have almost all mine at .25, but i eventually want to switch to .50, ive been wanting to for a while but just havent done so. I always recommend new people to start at .50 cents a vend. Inflation is cutting into profits and theres no sign of it going back the way it was. Also, vendors were charging .25 cents decades ago, theres no reason we should still be charging. 25 cents. Times have changed and candy is more expensive. So start vending. 50 cents if you can. Second, if you have 61 0z of candy, i would recommend each vend give out half an oz of candy. Get a scale if you need to and find out how much you need to vend. So essentially 61 oz, vending at half an ounces, would give you 122 vends.. 122 vends x .50 cents a vend = $61 ....and even if you were vending at .25 cents, 122 vends x .25cents = $30.5... so still profitable. The key is how much youre candy youre giving per vend. Buy a scale, and find that sweet spot of being fair, and still being profitable.
@@cosmicvending thank you for responding, I appreciate it bro. So here is my other question, was my equation correct? For example, if I vend out the 6 m&m it would be 14g, and on a 61oz bag that gets me a 123 vends. 123*0.25= 30.87 (total revenue), cost of m&m =18.99 so 30.87-18.99= 11.88 (gross profit), from here I get a little mixed up so is the gross profit what i get to keep, if so why do people bring up net profit? Also based off of my numbers above is my gross profit margin 38%?

Thanks i really appreciate it! We will see how it does next collection. Its not in a horrible spot. Its next to a register or desk of some sort, so there should still be some traffic. But i like the door better because no matter what , everyone is passing by it at least twice lol so we will see. Even if it takes a hit, its better than losing the location completely
Maybe i will adress this in a video because its more than i can type. But i would recommend researching what you need to do legally for your state/city first. Then go from there. Check out my video called "how to start a vending business on a budget " . Should be informative as well for you

Where you buy all your candys?
Can you make a living just doing gum all machines? What do you think about the triple shot machines?
Is it possible? Sure. But you'd need a TON of machines. Triple heads are great but at least 1 column should be gumballs.
How do u prevent theft
How much did you make in this route? I might have missed it.
