This really speaks to the quote that "art is never finished, only abandoned," because there are several moments during the video when you could've stopped and it would've been a lovely painting. I really like the final product too. Keep up the good work!
My father is an illustrator and I'm convincing him to start a small business selling prints of his drawings online, your videos are incredible, I love them and I wish you lots of happiness and prosperity in the year 2024! Gif me a heart in the comment please
I absolutely love this piece! I think its the perfect mix of figurative or even abstract and realism, it feels kind of if you wiped a part of the finished painting to show the underpainting if that makes any sense😂 I love to see you go with the flow and trying new things, hearing you say "this feels like art" is wonderful, because to us all you do is art, but I feel like you're feeling more proud of this kind of process and its so heartwarming. Thank you for this video💜
this painting is one of my favourites of yours, it's so beautiful and full of personality and passion! Love It 💖 wishing you all the best in your art journey as always
This painting reminds me of a humanoid robot. You're very talented. Your videos are inspiring and also very relaxing to watch. Thank you for sharing your creative process with the world.
I love this piece so much, Ashleigh. Watching your journey as an artist from the beginning of your channel has been so inspiring and beautiful. Thank you for sharing this with us!
Thank you for this episode. I too am going through something similar. I love that you tapped into your feeling and expressed without limits. Combining all elements and techniques. Giving your self permission without judgment. I’m so critical of my art and I’m learning to let go and not be a perfectionist. Thank you again for being so honest and relatable! Love your channel.
I see alot in this piece. Sadness, anger or a bit of frustration, a bit of pain looking for an outlet. No idea if that's what you were trying to express, but that's what I see. Beautiful expression either way and it's art like this that speaks to me the most because it shows INTO the artist. I hope you allow yourself to do more like this and find a process you enjoy rather than some perfect outcome. Thank you for sharing this!
This piece reminds me a little of what Alpay Efe was doing a couple years ago. He would finish a beautiful, flawless representational portrait of someone, then he would introduce abstractions here and there, mostly dripping blobs, over key parts of the face, hair and background. Although I had mixed feelings about those results, I can relate to the desire to break out from feeling like we're following a formula, or like you said here, doing a "homework assignment". Your process here is a little different from Alpay's, and the whole time it felt like your subject was just "going through some stuff", like a blue hair phase, or a Goth makeup phase. The choice of blue as the odd color out is interesting in that it's already a metaphor for sadness, so turning her tears blue was a pretty neat way to underscore that theme.
You have improved your painting skills a lot. I'm waiting for your every video the background music impressed me a lot I'm in love with you my princess
I love to do this type of painting, free range. Sometimes it is pretty sometimes it not but so much more fun and freeing. Your painting came out pretty.
Very pretty, it has a captivating power. It got some anime vibes yet realistic. A great combo painting. I love when you use the blue or purple, great vibes. Combo technique used well. You can try some pop art and graffiti, it pop. Trying different materials medium, make it mixed media.
Very interesting process, I’m glad that you enjoyed the moment and I love your colours . However, there are some problems in face proportion, the chin too small, the eyes axis and distance, the nose etc. I struggle with propotions every time I’m doing a portrait, and i still doing anatomy drawing to improve it, some times I put the photo and my drawing up side down, and it helps a lot. Good luck

Hi Ashleigh, wonderful painting
Thanks so much 😊
Just wondering-- did you spray anything on top of the charcoal? It doesn't look muddy, I have a problem with that when I'm mixing mediums
