Same here, it's like the X-men alpha, prime and omega series comic books that ran in the 90's about where there was a different future because Professor X was murdered by his time travelling son......anyhow it turns out that it was the episode in the X-men 90's cartoon which was the catalyst for these series of comic books and not the other way round. Shout out as well to the Justice League: Doom animated movie, adapted from Mark Waid's 'Tower of Babel' story arc from the 96' JLA run, it features a smaller scale Legion of Doom run by Vandal Savage but the way the entire story plays out and seeing each member of the League getting attacked one at a time divide and conquer style is seriously awesome.

I would have thought that Harley Quinn was the first ever animated TV show villain to get the official canon comic book story. I always thought the Legion originated in the comics.
The Legion of Doom was also the name of The Road Warriors in the early 80's Hawk & Animal were in a group managed by Precious Paul Ellering Jake Roberts was in it so was The Spoiler.

DCAU did have its own legion of doom with not just popular villains but unknown characters with most of them being killed frozen by Killer Frost as a reason to stay loyal to Luthor after a mutiny between Lex and Grodd.
I would like to see new versions of the Legion of Doom with either King Kull or Tala as the leader because as long as they are bad guys who give certain heroes a run for their money the legion exists.

I did saw the original Justice League on Cartoon Network back then when they first face The Legion of Doom a long time ago. But however, The Legion of Doom will come back in crossover movie later this year and it is "Teen Titans Go! & DC Superhero Girls: Mayhem in the multiverse" coming on DVD in May 24, 2022 on Tuesday and on Cartoon Network in May 28, 2022 on Saturday, two months left. This time, the Teen Titans and the DC Superhero Girls will team up to fight all of these DC Supervillains, The Legion of Doom. And there will be a new villainess who will be appeared in that feature film, her name is "Cythonna", a Kryptonian and an arch nemesis of Superman.
The DCEU version of the team wouldn have been lex deathstroke black manta dr. poison ocean master riddler and fricking captain cold that would have been Awsome to see and still hope to see it
Now I can see these guys on a big cinema screen. It’ll be awesome if Zack Snyder could put together a story of the Legion of doom , Story by Zack Snyder Chris Terrio and Christopher Nolan and David S Goya in Zack Snyder would direct a film like this and bring them to full cinematic screen. and drop it around for time late September early October Halloween time. it’s crazy that they rarely appear in comics even though they were a mainstay in a lot of animated series

Nothing beats the "Superfriends" version. It took me years to realize they couldn't officially add "Joker" because he's a natural foil for Luthor.
