    Great idea for somebody who does a lot of hardscape stuff it eliminates needing 2 machines on the site and having to lug both of them there

    I think it would work great for a installing septic drain lines. to be able to dig the lines with convenience of a small excavator and then you could cover them quickly with the same machine and not have to haul a skid-steer to the same job. really liked this video!

    i have seen the times when pulling stumps or gathering the last bit of material from a stock pile , and not having a skid steer around . that i would have loved to have had this kind of a machine . i see the point behind it and for certain applications its going to work great . i like it ! wouldn't mind having one to try out

    It'd be really cool if that when you switch the switch it becomes full Skidsteer controls so the left stick controls drive instead of the two sticks in front and right stick does bucket seems like it would be easier to drive and use the bucket or broom that way.

    I wonder how good it would be for digging footings and back filling slabs.

    What do you think of the performance difference between the 304.5 and your 305.5?

  • @Olliegunns
    @Olliegunns 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can you scoop out of the bucket with the excavator? So for example, fill it with shingle when backfilling drainage and scoop it out as you go? Also, would it lift a pack of blocks around and therefore replace a loader for low level kinda work?

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can scoop out of the bucket. And it will lift a half pallet of blocks, not a full one

    Did they take in consideration the added weight on the front idlers when loaded and traveling.?
    I think those bearing would burn out pretty fast...

    Cat says the invented this but I saw a guy that converted his Kubota, that had a six way blade, to this same thing several years ago. The only difference was to run a broom or other attachment that needed full aux hydraulic flow, he had to run lines off of the stick quick couplers. Like you said, kinda cool but not useful in my line of work.

    I could see it being useful for moving big rocks.

    It would make a really good retail machine. Especially for people needing to get a lot done with one machine. How much more is this package compared to the regular one?

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats a good idea. And I have no idea about pricing.

    I wonder if a small skid steer mulching head would work on the front of it...

  • @derKarl_stp
    @derKarl_stp 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    it could be used in landscaping for example when you use forks to pick up a pallet of paving blocks or curbs with them and use a grab to set those (like a probst or a hunklinger grab) or when you are carrying your buckets in your loader shovel as well

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, forks I think is where it will be very useful.

      Did you test the lifting capacity with the pallet forks?

    could you use a harley rake with this machines flow rate.?

  • @CoastConcreteCorp

    They should make the dozer blade lever become a joystick to control the bucket. How annoying and time consuming it would be to switch over while trenching and having to lift bucket up and down. Also you lose the ability to work the excavator with the blade (bucket) in front of you, so you lose some strength and lifting capacity with bucket (blade) always behind you. Check out the videos of the xboom, it's a better idea than this in my opinion. However, for my business it's unnecessary. I like the outside the box thinking though.

    question for ya dirt ninja? we have a 305.5e2 just like yours, have you ever had a problem with your machine not wanting to idle up, we have been having this problem accationally and the cat rep said it would half to do it with them to diagnose but it doesn't do it all the time, im just wondering if it is our machine or is there someone else that has had the problem and already diagnosed

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have never had that problem and I have never heard of anyone having that problem. Id bring the machine in and tell them to figure it out!

      did it again today, but got hung in the full throttle position 10, i think it my be the throtle nob itself, if not something is wrong with the computer, because it was set on auto idle, thanks for the input, we got one of those machines made on friday lol, small kink to work out though, still great machine

    Neat idea, but the Market is so limited it won't stay in production very long.
    Good example was the Deere TLB110 . Great idea but sales were less than expected.

      oh, cool. dont forget that shop tour my friend! i cant wait. lol :)

  • @emd40277
    @emd40277 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    For my business it would be perfect. I can't wait til they make it to the west coast. I build and maintain gravel parking lots and driveways etc. The excavator feature would be excellent since I repair many large potholes. I could carry material for the repair, mitigate the land with the excavator and fill the hole with the material with one machine. I could also attach an 6 way blade for dozing and grading. I'd only have to use one machine. Perfect for me. I'm looking foreward to the demo video. Where did they say they they will first be distributing them? I could use one right away...

    • @DirtNinja
      @DirtNinja  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      They will be all over the US later this year. You can place an order for one now from my understanding. You can even run a Harley rake off it. It has the flow for it. May be useful for you.

    Do you know if the original inventor got any credit for this? I remember seeing a video on his machine a while back. Same design but I think it was on a Kubota.

    • @DirtNinja

      It was similar but different. They hydros had to be run off the aux lines on the boom.

  • @dankruger2890

    Its a good idea. I think it will help sell machines. For me no, but I can see companies buying it for special application or the idea of bringing less machinery on the job in tight areas where only one machine can work. Sure there are more ideas people will come up with. I noticed my dads new 305.5 e cr 2 front blade raises alot hirer than his older 305. Maybe we will be able to buy attachments for that in the future. His new quick disconnect in the cab was cool enough but to ad attachments would be even more impressive
