    Thanks Mike,
    I've learned from you the difference between having an opinion, and thinking 🤔 about why I have the opinion.

    Great as usual. Mike didn't mention it, but the creator of the Quran also seemed to be aware of the Gnostic gospels.

    There is only 1 God who is perfect and also demonstrates perfection. The God of the Bible is this God who’s justice is perfect having no sin go unpunished and unpaid for. Gods love is within the very being of God who is Triune “3 Persons, 1 God” who is love, needing nothing, lacking nothing and dependent upon no one, for in the very being of the Triune God exists eternal love. This God created us out of love and also demonstrated the greatest act of love in and through the Son Jesus Christ whom the Father has sent to us to save us from our sins so that we could approach God on judgement day perfect and righteous and He did this through the cross of Christ where sin was paid in full once and for all and ultimate love of God demonstrated for us in that while we were still yet sinners, Christ died for us! No greater God than the Triune God of the Bible!

    Because we have a book and so many theological genealogies, we feel like we must choose one, and honor him with our prayers. Because we believe, we feel the need to tell others, of our insights. We then compare these with our chosen biblical texts , to establish meaning, or form conclusions.
    Because I believe that consciousness is fundamental, it's right up there with time and space, in it's scope.
    So if we pray to God, the creator, that prayer will join the prayers of any and all others who pray to the creator, regardless of the word we choose to call Him by.
    God is free, and God is universal, meaning that humans do not have exclusive rights over God's borders. Who he is and what he can or can not do, is not ours to decide.
    Creation did not begin here on Earth, nor will it end with our civilization. Creation is never satisfied. It always strives for more. More love, more life, and in more places that it might take hold.
    Every creature that can form a thought, is free to consider God when it questions it's own self, and it's origins. All life is directly connected to God. Some might call it instinct. Every world that has intelligent life, is going to have a God concept. Likely, they will also have religions as well. Perhaps steeped with traditions and rituals that would seem silly to us, because like us, they will believe it brings them closer to God.
    His God is our God, because there is only one. We can debate over it, all day long but he is still praying to the same God as ours.
    We do not need a book to put us in contact with our beliefs. They were born in our hearts and so we live out our lives in struggle with what we believe, and we will all die, knowing that we could have done more.
    Religion is an occupation for some, and a quick fix for others. Those who truly seek, will always be in search, because like creation, there is never enough on this side of the door.

    I wonder if when Muhammad was copying things from the OT/NT , whether he was affected by the Arians in the area of the time. Let's not forget that Arians were banished into the desert.

    Why do you feel the need to filter these discussions through music??? Yes, music is nice, but it's distracting

  • @jashannon
    @jashannon ปีที่แล้ว

    Only God knows. there could very well be different heavens for different religions. and we won't know until we die. plain and simple. I'm Christian, so I anticipate hanging out with Jesus in Christian Heaven. if it's hard for you to believe there could be different Heavens, you are being closed minded. you can answer the question -- could God have different Heavens? -- somewhere under 15 seconds, if you sit still and contemplate that question. once the question is answered, the other religions won't seem wrong. because "no one comes to the Father but through me" could still mean the to the Father in Christian Heaven. and following Jesus becomes a choice. I could be wrong. I could be right. What difference would it make? People are either going to choose Jesus or not. And it's possible more people would choose Jesus if there was agreement that there could be multiple Heavens, not less.

      that’s comtadictory because He says there is none like Him,the mere idea of many heavens owned by different gods is blasphemy cause its like saying there so many gods who are not created by YEHOVAH and they are totally independent of him when all things were created by Him and nothing that exists that wasn’t created by Him.
      There is one God, one Mediator, one Spirit. one Father, one Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God, and one Holy spirit. there is no other god besides Him. don’t deceived brother.

    YHWH is God, of course. In scripture He proves it by telling the future, even naming some people hundreds of years before they are born. Only God can do that, not the other elohim, not false gods. There is only one God - the triune God of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

    What ridiculous nonsense! In essence, his argument goes like this: Who is the best superhero- Superman or Spider-Man? Answer: Superman, because he’s came from another planet and Spider-Man is from Earth……

      Don't be foolish. He said it makes the best PHILOSOPHICAL, and theological sense. The only thing he left out is that it also makes the most HISTORICAL sense.

    • @urasam2
      @urasam2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mcarthuradal8613 No, I’m not being foolish and also I am right. He absolutely does look at two religions , Christianity and Islam, picks a few attributes that he likes in Christianity and then rejects Islam because they have a different perspective. He rejects all other religions for the same reason. This is like taking a load of rocks, picking one out that has a hole in it and rejecting all the others as inferior because they do not have a hole. It’s entirely arbitrary. He literally says that Yahweh must be the true god because he has a plan of salvation. Well, Allah must be the true god because he has two “a”s in his name. That’s just a arbitrary and just as stupid.
      And no, Christianity does not make sense historically, or philosophically.
