The fact that the Jesko is able to comeback-pass an 1900+ Hp 2,360Nm torque AWD Ev and break early is astonishing.
Giving it's meant for top speed.
The Rimac does weigh 2000 pounds more that the jesko
ICE always has more top end than EV.
The rimac is heavier and it's purely electric so it actually starts to lose power in the top end that's one advantage the tourbillion will have over it, it might be 00 horsepower less but it's peak EV power is far lower than what rimac motors can deliver so it'll constantly have the same lower
Rimac Nevera was using 1300-1380 Kilowatts of power during this run it was only running 1840 BHP with that 2300 KG of weight
Still faster to 300 kph
0-300 kph is unmatched Rimac is whole 2 seconds faster from 0-200 kph
@@Smzxe the reason it was is because the battery can't really deliver that peak power unless it's absolutely perfect and even when it does it doesn't hold that figure for more than a few seconds because that's just how electric cars work which makes me hopeful for the tourbillion because it's lighter and the battery is I think should be able to hold 1800 horsepower steadily

straight line performance has little to do with track capabilities. And I highly doubt that anyone would take this car to do trackdays :)
Just like Bugatti the rimac would be ahead in distance while the koenigsegg once again is ahead in mph. It’s crazy how they pull on cars with more hp
Well yeah... bit obvious considering it's a high powered petrol car with only RWD, if it had AWD it would have caught the Nevera far quicker, probably before 250kph.
@@1010thechamp It's not catching Rimac even with AWD. Egg suffer with more traction control than Ferrari and McLarens. Plus they're way most expensive and tuned!

There is a simple math and physic, a small aero advantage of Jesko at that speeds is a king! In addition, perhaps current battery chemistry (even of finest grade) can not hold that immense power output for a longer time (overheating and therefore power cut). And in the end, despite the electric tech being much superior and efficient to the combustion engine tech, consider the power of the petrol in tank to the power of the electricity in the battery in Joules. This is the reason the commercial airplanes do not fly electric (and will do so perhaps at least 30 years).
However, considering fast moving EV technology, cars like Rimac may really deliver and even break 500 km/h threshold in coming years.

Why does the jesko seem so slow after 400 , 400-413 is very underwhelming

My boys, you can see and hear the Jesko uses all of it's 8th Gear from 300 to 410 Km, and then it changes to 9th for a split second before braking, obviously is going to loss power when the gearing is ending and reaching red line.
he let go of the throttle, there is still a whole gear left. and tyres are not super optimal for above 400kmh im guessing
That's because he coasted after that. He reached 412 kmph only to get some margin to achieve absolute max brake pressure on the way down from 400 kmph.
Hey compare the Porsche 919 Evo acceleration to these cars. That car was cartoonish quick - it should not be physically possible, just video game level acceleration. It got to 370 like nothing. Take some snaps of their Nurburgring and Spa runs and compare. Also include F1 cars for further comparison

it's set for a 400km/h record not a 300 or 200
Also, the Rimac Nevera can probably only do this a handful of times before the battery is flat and everytime it'll be slower than the previous time. Whereas the Koenigsegg Jesko can do it until it's tank runs dry and everytime 'should' be faster than the previous time, since it'll weigh less 🙂

Given their horsepower, neither car will last very long. Both Jesko and Nevera have enough fuel / electrons for about 6 min at full throttle. 😂
Slower than previous time? That's not EV limitation, that was Tesla limitation. Porsche already showed with the first Taycan that it can run multiple times with the same power...

What kind of feeling can you have? 😂 Everything was done to the maximum there, that’s why the race was made for a record result. The Absolute version is distinguished only by the removed strong frontal resistance, and body kits, the engine costs the same
Jesko Absolut is a RWD only. The Nevera is a heavy car that is really only good for straight line records.
For me Nevera is the winner! Anyway on the road you don't go 400km so all this speed is useless.. But it's more fun to do a 1/4 as the Jesko in this case is so far behind compared to other cars..

Electric cars have ghat problem of the speed more they get closer to the top speed and more they slow down the acceleration if the rimac was with a higher top speed and more hp it would have been able to keep up
Also the jesko absolut has a short gears so that car will struggle if not possible to hit the 300mph like how bugatti did using longer gears
@@mattiabinotto2018 Absolut gear ratios are decently long after 7. Has short gear ratios imat low speeds so that it could always be in the powerband. Jesko absolut was actually accelerating faster from 300-400 than the Chiron. Which means it will atlwast do 305.
@@W1nkey_Chiron Super Sport is not famous for fast accelerating 300-400 ,0-400, but is sharpened to the maximum speed, the only thing prevents him with a large weight, it weighs 700kg more than Jesko

Andy Wallace said he was going 70-80% throttle he only went full throttle after 428 km/h so this isn't even best Chiron SS run
Chiron SS 300-400 kph is 0.1 sec quicker than 1800 BHP Regera it's faster than Hennessy venom F5 from 200-270 mph by 6 seconds
Chiron SS matched the Jesko absolut 200-257 mph acceleration
Jesko was only Quicker by 1 mph from 200-250 mph

why did both cars accelerate to 410 kmh?
Probably to reach 250 mph which is about 404 km/h if I recall.
Because they want max brake pressure at 400 kmph. So they have to brake from slightly faster since it takes a bit of time to apply full weight on the brake pedal.
