I live under Mount Merapi in Indonesia, when the sky is clear and we can see the volcano clearly, we the habitants always says 'Merapi looks so beautiful today'. When I take a flight from our city's airport, I usually take photos of Merapi from window seat, and it's so beautiful from bird view level.
I can see 2 volcanoes from my home. One is "extinct" and the other is active every day. They provide the land with nutrients to grow food and they are so beautiful. We have picnics up on the extinct volcano.
@@AncientWildTV we had evacuations this past year when she was real active. I used to live about 2 miles as the crow flies from her. Beautiful views. Now, Im probably 15 miles away as the crow flies. Air quality is much better.

Volcanoes are only "benevolent" until they blow, the world needs to be educated not misinform...........one simple analogy is that of the man who feeds and loves his family until one day, he does not PS polar bears are also not cute or cuddly, neither are wolves etc etc etc, learn to respect nature, do not candy coat lifes realities.... That said i do love a good documentary that actually educates.
well, they (volcanoes) blow not every year. Even a generation of inhabitants can live without experiencing a blow, yet still enjoys the benefits of a volcano. Once you understand the nature of the volcano around you, you can live in harmony with it. After a bad day comes a good day and after a good day comes a bad day. That's life.

Wow. I'm fairly well travelled, but I've never seen an erupting volcano.
